Particle Drilling Technologies is a holding company. In particular, Co. is engaged in the development of the Particle Impact Drilling (PID) system, a patented system utilizing a specially designed "fit for purpose" drill bit fitted with jetting nozzles and polycrystalline diamond compact cutting structures for use in the oil and gas drilling industry. The nozzles in the PID bit serve to accelerate hardened steel particles entrained with ordinary drilling mud to fracture the formation ahead of the bit. The PID system is primarily operated utilizing hydraulic energy that is standard on drilling rigs typically used in combination with PID system equipment.
