Valero Energy owns and operates refineries in the U.S., Canada, and Aruba. At Dec 31 2007, Co. owned and operated 17 refineries that produce conventional gasolines, distillates, jet fuel, asphalt, petrochemicals, lubricants, and other refined products, as well as reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending, gasoline meeting the specifications of the California Air Resources Board (CARB), CARB diesel fuel, low-sulfur and ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel, and oxygenates. Co. markets branded and unbranded refined products on a wholesale basis in the U.S. and Canada, and sells refined products through retail and wholesale branded outlets in the U.S., Canada, and Aruba.
