Verizon Maryland serves a territory consisting of two complete Local Access and Transport Areas (LATAs) and parts of two other LATAs. Co. provides two basic types of telecommunications services: Exchange telecommunication service is the transmission of telecommunications among customers located within a local calling area within a LATA.
