Mr. White joined Abbott in 1984, was named chief executive officer in 1998 and became chairman of the board in 1999. In addition to his responsibilities at Abbott, Mr. White serves on the board of directors of Motorola, Inc. He is chairman of the board of trustees of The Field Museum, and sits on the boards of The Museum of Science and Industry, The Joffrey Ballet, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. He serves as a trustee on the boards of Northwestern University, and the Culver Educational Foundation. In addition he is a member of the International Advisory Council of the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, The Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council, and vice chairman of the Chicago 2016 board of directors. Thomas Freyman is executive vice president, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed to his current role in February 2004 and has served as Abbott's Chief Financial Officer since 2001. Freyman joined Abbott in 1979, and has served in a number of financial planning and analysis positions. In 1984, Freyman was appointed finance director for Abbott's European distribution center in the Netherlands. He also served as division controller, Corporate Materials Management, vice president and treasurer, and vice president and controller, Hospital Products Division. Prior to joining Abbott, Freyman was a certified public accountant with Ernst & Whinney, Chicago. Freyman serves on the board of directors for the Chicago Botanic Garden. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives' Club of Chicago, the Healthcare Leadership Council and the S&P Corporate Ratings Issuer Council. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master's degree in management from Northwestern University.

Management Biography - Edward L. Michael Edward L. Michael Executive Vice President, Diagnostics Edward Michael is executive vice president, diagnostics leading Abbott's diagnostics, molecular and point-of-care businesses. He was appointed to this position in July 2007. Previously, he served as senior vice president, medical products, leading Abbott's molecular, spine and animal health business units. Michael joined Abbott in 1985 as an attorney in the Legal Division. Since 1990, he has held various management positions in Abbott's global diagnostics operations, including vice president for Europe, Africa and Middle East, and vice president, Diagnostic Commercial Operations. He also served as vice president, Immunoassay/Clinical Chemistry, Abbott Diagnostics Division and as vice president, Abbott Molecular, leading Abbott's global molecular diagnostic business. He earned a bachelor's degree in politics and government and a juris doctorate from Indiana University in Bloomington.

Holger Liepmann is executive vice president, Global Nutrition. He was appointed to this position in October of 2006. Previously, he was executive vice president, Pharmaceutical Products Group. Liepmann also served as senior vice president, Abbott International, the commercial operations for Abbott's international pharmaceutical business. Liepmann first joined Abbott in 1986 as a business development manager for Abbott International, and has since served in various management positions including divisional vice president and regional director, Europe, and general manager, Spain, for Abbott's International Division and vice president, Japan Operations. Prior to joining Abbott, Liepmann was a marketing manager, Europe, for Cutter Laboratories, a subsidiary of Bayer AG. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University.

John Capek, Ph.D., is executive vice president, medical devices. Capek was appointed to this position in July 2007 and is responsible for Abbott's Vascular, Diabetes Care, Ophthalmology and Animal Health businesses. Previously, he served as senior vice president, Abbott Vascular, heading up Abbott's global vascular business. Capek served in various management roles at Guidant, including president, Guidant Vascular Intervention and vice president and general manager of Bioabsorbable Vascular Solutions. He also served as vice president and general manager of Guidant Germany and vice president, marketing, Guidant Cardiac Rhythm Management Group. Before joining Guidant, Capek was manager of New Product Technology at Eli Lilly & Company. Capek has a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, a master's degree in biomedical engineering, a master's degree in electrical engineering, a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Management Biography - Laura J. Schumacher Laura J. Schumacher Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Laura Schumacher is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. She was appointed to her current role in February 2007. Previously, she served as senior vice president, secretary and general counsel. Schumacher joined Abbott in 1990 as a litigation attorney. She has held various positions within the litigation department, including divisional vice president, litigation and vice president, secretary and deputy general counsel. Prior to joining Abbott, Schumacher was an associate attorney with the law firm Schiff, Hardin & Waite in Chicago. Schumacher is on the board of directors for the Clara Abbott Foundation, and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, Chicago Network and Chicago Club. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing from the University of Notre Dame and with a juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Richard Ashley is executive vice president, Corporate Development. His responsibilities include various aspects of corporate strategic planning and business development. Ashley was appointed to his current position in February of 2004. Prior to joining Abbott, he was a senior director at McKinsey and Company, a former managing partner of the firm's Chicago office, and head of the firm's Global Leadership and Organization practice. During his 31 years with McKinsey, Ashley consulted with clients in healthcare, energy and industrial manufacturing industries across a wide range of business and organizational issues. Ashley is a member of the executive committee of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Chicago and a former member of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Wisconsin Bar Association. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University. Management Biography - Donald V. Patton Donald V. Patton Senior Vice President, U.S. Nutrition Donald Patton is senior vice president, U.S. Nutrition, where he oversees Abbott’s domestic nutrition business. He was appointed to his current role in April 2007. Previously, he served as vice president, Diagnostic Global Commercial Operations, Abbott Diagnostics Division. Patton has held several management positions, including president and general manager, Abbott Canada and vice president, International Marketing, in Abbott's international pharmaceutical business. Patton also served at TAP Pharmaceuticals, a joint venture between Abbott and Takeda Chemical Industries of Japan, for 10 years. Patton began his career in teaching and prior to joining Abbott held various sales positions with Johnson & Johnson Ortho Pharmaceutical group and Becton-Dickinson. Patton also spent time as a newspaper editor and at an advertising agency. Patton serves on the Board of Governors of Smile Train, a nonprofit that provides cleft surgery for poor children around the world. He is a past president of the Biomedical Marketing Association and a member of the Adjunct Faculty for Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Chicago. He earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Missouri at Columbia and a master's degree in management from Northwestern University.

Management Biography - James L. Tyree James L. Tyree Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Products James Tyree is executive vice president, Pharmaceutical Products. Tyree first joined Abbott from 1978 until 1979 as a business analyst for a year. He rejoined the company in June 1997 and has been in various management positions including divisional vice president and general manager for Abbott's international division in Japan. He recently served as vice president, global licensing/new business development in the Pharmaceutical Products Division and as senior vice president, Pharmaceutical Operations. He assumed his current role in 2007. Prior to re-joining Abbott in 1997, Tyree was president of Sugen Inc., a biotechnology start-up company and held various leadership positions at other pharmaceutical companies. He serves on the board of directors for TAP Pharmaceuticals, a joint venture between Abbott and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. He is a member of the advisory boards of the Polsky Center of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago and the Kellogg Center for Biotechnology at Northwestern University. He is a member of Richard M. Daley's Chicago Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors. Formerly chairman, he is also chairman of the board of directors of the Illinois Biotechnology Industry Organization. Landgraf Senior Vice President, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Supply John Landgraf is senior vice president, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing and Supply. He was appointed to his current role in July 2004. Previously, Landgraf was vice president, Quality Assurance and Compliance, for Abbott's Medical Products Group. Landgraf joined Abbott in 1977 and worked in key positions in plant quality assurance, manufacturing and marketing in Abbott's Diagnostics Division. He also held various management positions in manufacturing and engineering with Abbott International and Abbott Diagnostics Division. Prior to joining Abbott, Landgraf worked in research and development for Inolex Corporation in Glenwood, Ill. Management Biography - Mary Szela Mary Szela Senior Vice President, U.S. Pharmaceuticals Mary Szela is senior vice president, Pharmaceutical Operations, leading Abbott’s commercial pharmaceutical business in the United States. She was appointed to this position in August 2007. Previously, she served as vice president, Commercial Pharmaceutical Operations, where she was responsible for sales and marketing of many of Abbott's pharmaceutical brands, including HUMIRA. Szela joined Abbott in 1987 and has held several leadership positions at Abbott, including vice president, Primary Care Commercial Operations; and Vice President of Hospital Business sector, responsible for anesthesia, acute care cardiovascular and pain management pharmaceuticals in Abbott's Hospital Products business (now Hospira). Prior to joining Abbott, Szela worked for the University of Illinois Hospital. Szela earned a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois.

Olivier Bohuon is senior vice president, Abbott International, heading up the company's global pharmaceutical business. He was appointed to his current role in April of 2006. Previously he served as vice president, European Operations, Abbott International. Before rejoining Abbott in 2003, Bohuon was senior vice president of European commercial operations at GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to the merger between Glaxo and SmithKline, Bohuon was CEO of SmithKline Beecham France. He also worked at Roussel Uclaf as marketing and sales director, Near and Middle East, and for Boston Consulting Group in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Prior to that, Bohuon was a marketing director for Abbott International's anti-infective franchise and later as the Pharmaceutical Products Division director for Abbott Spain. Bohuon is a member of the French Academie de Pharmacie and the French Academy of Technologies. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the Haute Etudes Commerciales (HEC) School of Management in Paris and he received a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Paris XI, France-Sud, Chatenay-Malabry.

He was appointed to his current role in May 2008. Hance previously served as senior vice president, Abbott Diabetes Care. Hance joined Abbott in 1989 as a diagnostic systems specialist. He held several management positions in Abbott's Diagnostics division, including vice president for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Hance also served as vice president, Vascular Solutions, Abbott Vascular before moving to Abbott Diabetes Care in 2006. He was appointed to his current role in April 2006. Previously he served as vice president, Asia and Latin America, Abbott Nutrition International. He joined Abbott in 1988 as general manager for Abbott Taiwan in the company's international pharmaceutical division. He has held several management positions in Asia, including regional director, greater China. Chen also served as vice president, Pacific, Asia and Africa operations for Abbott International. Before joining Abbott, Chen held several senior management positions at Cyanamid. Chen serves on the board of the Abbott Chinese Cultural Network. He also serves on the United Way of Lake County "Success by Six" committee, an initiative to promote early education for children. He earned a bachelor's degree in international business from National Cheng-Chi University in Taiwan and a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University.

Management Biography - John M. Leonard, M.D. John M. Leonard, M.D. Senior Vice President, Pharmaceuticals, Research and Development Dr. John Leonard is senior vice president, Pharmaceuticals, Research and Development. He was appointed to his current position in February 2008. Previously, he served as vice president, Global Pharmaceutical Research and Development. Leonard joined Abbott in 1992 as head of antiviral drug development where he was responsible for the clinical development of Abbott's protease inhibitors. He held several positions of increasing responsibility in the pharmaceutical R&D organization. Prior to joining Abbott, Leonard was senior director for clinical research at G.H. Besselaar Associates in Princeton, N.J. He has published extensively on HIV therapeutics and their development and serves on the Science and Regulatory Affairs committee of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Association (PhRMA). He also serves on the board of directors of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). Leonard earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a doctorate in medicine from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Stanford University Hospital followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular virology at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. He is board certified in internal medicine and is licensed to practice in Illinois and Maryland.

Andy Land manages Sun's Identity Manager product line with responsibilities including product strategy, marketing, and direction. Andy previously worked at Motive, Inc. as a Senior Product Manager. He has prior experience in product management and sales from jobs with Vignette, Verizon, and Abbott Laboratories. Andy started his career as a United States Naval Officer and is a veteran of the 1st Gulf War. Andy earned his bachelor degree in economics from Northwestern University and holds a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Don Stevens, AnzenBio LLC's Chief Operating Officer, is a manufacturing operations leader with over 20 years of experience with Abbott Laboratories producing disposable medical devices. Most recently, he worked as the Materials Manager where he directed the planning, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and printing functions. Prior to that, he was the Information Systems Manager. He has also held positions in project management, custom products, quality assurance, sterilization, warehousing, distribution, and field sales.

Frank has over 35 years experience in histology. His extensive background includes histology, tissue culture and animal necropsy at Abbott Laboratories and Industrial Biotest Contract Research Laboratories where he progressed to the position of Lab Director. Subsequently, Frank honed his technical and supervisory skills at Colorado State University, ranked second in the nation as one of the top Veterinary Teaching Schools, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility including Senior Technician, Supervisor of the beagle research laboratory, Histology Laboratory Coordinator and Supervisor of the Pathology Diagnostic Laboratory.

His background includes 25 years of specialized expertise in the nutritional and pharmaceutical industries. Most recently he was vice president of Nurture, Inc. Prior experience also includes a progressive series of management positions with the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories, including development of global nutrition strategies for disease-specific growth platforms and business development for Ross' medical foods portfolio, including such products as Ensure and Glucerna. She is also an avid outdoor enthusiast, recently spending time in India and Nepal leading small group adventure treks. John Ahern is the President and Chief Executive Officer of NMT Medical, a leading developer of cardiac septal repair implant technologies, brings to Corindus deep experience in the life science industry, with particular expertise in the Cath Lab field. Previously, he served as vice president of emerging technologies for C.R. Bard, Inc., where he was responsible for identifying and integrating emerging technologies into Bard's product portfolio. Ahern's medical device background also includes senior level positions at Abbott Laboratories and Becton Dickinson in both the U.S. and overseas. He also has held marketing and strategic planning positions with multiple cardiovascular medical device companies.

Mr. Florence joined the Company in July 2006 as our Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Florence has extensive experience over the last 20 years in the cardiac medical device and diagnostic industry. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in marketing, sales and general management with industry leaders such as Abbott Laboratories, Bayer and the Moore Medical Subsidiary of McKesson. Most recently Mr. Florence was Vice President of Sales at CardioDynamics where he was responsible for growing the sales force from 3 to 5 regions totaling 60 direct sales representatives. Additionally, Mr. Florence had matrix management responsibility for the company's nurse clinical applications team, during which time the team grew from 15 to 25 members. Mr. Florence holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing from Northeastern University and an MBA from the Northeastern University Graduate School of Business in Boston.

Matthew Stone brings clients more than 24 years of healthcare and traditional business to business and consumer marketing expertise. He has designed, developed, and executed innovative online and traditional integrated direct marketing campaigns. He has also worked on strategic database product creations that were custom developed for his clients and targeted towards the health care industries, as well as general business and consumer marketplaces. Matt oversees and develops direct marketing campaigns for clients such as Abbott Laboratories, Dey LP (a division of Merck), Medicis Pharmaceuticals, Baxter HealthCare and Centrix Pharmaceuticals. He also contributes to the U.S. Futures Exchange, Brunswick Billiards and Mastro Auctions account teams.

Nick Manusos serves as Vice President of Business Development at Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America (TPNA), Inc. Manusos joined TPNA in July of 2006. His responsibilities include directing Takeda's efforts in partnerships, licensing and alliance management in North America as well as for global Takeda business. Prior to joining TPNA, Manusos worked at TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. for six years. TAP is a joint venture of Japan-based Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (TPC) and Abbott Laboratories. He joined TAP as licensing director in 2000. In that role, Manusos oversaw or personally executed domestic and international research collaborations, technology and device licensing and co-promotion and pharmaceutical compound licensing. Manusos was promoted to vice president of licensing and business development in April of 2004 and was responsible for leading the licensing and business development team and the alliance management team in building TAP's portfolio of products. Manusos joined the Ross Products division of Abbott in 1983. He held various business and operations management positions at Abbott, including business director of Global Generics and Custom Pharma within Abbott's Specialty Products division, and general manager of Abbott Animal Health. He currently sits on the executive board of the Opera Theatre North. Manusos earned a bachelor of business administration degree in operations management from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and a master's degree in business administration at the Kellogg School of Management.

Mr Bartels has experience in the pharmaceutical industry through previous roles with DHA Pharmaceuticals and Abbott Laboratories. He has been a major player in corporate Australia, having held the positions of CEO and Managing Director of both Coles Myer Ltd and Fosters Brewing Company Ltd. He is currently Chairman of the Australian Sports Commission and the Australian Institute of Sport. He is a past Chairman of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Committee for Sport and the Women's and Children's Health Service.

Mr. Wood served as Vice President of Operations for Inamed, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allergan, prior to joining FoxHollow in 2006. Mr. Wood also has extensive general management experience within the medical device and pharmaceutical industries and has created and implemented successful business strategies with companies such as Keravision, Allergan and Abbott Laboratories. Mr. Wood holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

As Senior Vice President and General Manager, Fulfillment and Logistics Services, Richardson leads Accretive Commerce's largest business unit with P&L responsibility for this business segment. He has direct P&L responsibility for Accretive Commerce's entire distribution network as well as freight services. Richardson comes to Accretive Commerce with a highly impressive background of progressively increased leadership accomplishments in the fields of fulfillment, distribution, and logistics. Richardson most recently was Group Vice President, Global Logistics for Newell Rubbermaid Inc., a $7 billion consumer products company. At Rubbermaid, he reduced the carrier base from ~1400 to 23 and implemented $100 million in productivity savings in the last four years. Previous to this, Richardson was Director, North American Distribution for Black & Decker, Inc., with responsibility for distribution strategic planning, customer service, and transportation. His distribution center experience also includes leadership assignments at Phillips-Van Heusen, Adidas, Converse, and Abbott Laboratories. Richardson is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience and an impressive history of warehousing, distribution, and logistical successes. A well known and documented leader in his field, he is recognized for his ability to optimize network and facility designs which result in operations providing superior cost effective service and quality to the customer. Richardson earned his BBA in Marketing from Eastern Michigan University and his MBA from Campbell University. He also holds several professional certifications and is active in multiple organizations, including the Supply Chain Executive Forum at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

W. Ann Reynolds, 71, formerly President and Professor of Biology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, located in Birmingham, Alabama, until 2002. Director since 2006; formerly a Director of OCD since 1993. A graduate of Kansas State Teachers College and the University of Iowa, where she earned a Ph.D. degree, Dr. Reynolds previously served as Chancellor of the City University of New York and as Chancellor of the California State University System. In prior years, she was Provost of the Ohio State University and Professor of Anatomy and Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Illinois at the Medical Center. Dr. Reynolds is a director of Humana, Inc., Abbott Laboratories, Invitrogen Corporation, and the News-Gazette, Champaign, Illinois.
