ACI Global Corporation is a manufacturer of finely processed, high quality rubber micropowder . Its proposed global manufacturing facilities will process scrap rubber goods to produce fine grained rubber powder suitable for a wide variety of industrial and commercial manufacturing applications. ACI will offer a lower cost, high quality option to supply raw materials markets requiring rubber and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) products. ACI's process takes used rubber-based products such as tires and cryogenically separates the rubber compounds from the other materials in the product. These rubber compounds will then be microsized and resold as: - 105 to 177-micron rubber powder - Micropowder;, - devulcanized Micropowder, or - a variety of Micropowder-based TPE compounds Recycled rubber compounds can be reused in the manufacture of the products from which they are derived, e.g. tires, conveyor belts, etc. The amount of recycled material that can be incorporated into a new product depends upon the size of the rubber compound particles, whether the material has been devulcanized, and the processing methods and formulae employed in producing the new product. ACI plans to build processing hubs in Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East to ultimately process up to 60% of the 1,000,000 tires per day currently discarded in each of these regions.
