Dr. Chase has a wealth of experience in vaccines and has spent his entire career (30 years) in the biotechnology and$ pharmaceutical sectors. Past positions include President of Shire Biologics, Senior Vice President Vaccines Operations of Biochem Pharma, President & CEO of North American Vaccine, President & CEO of Pasteur Merieux Connaught, President & CEO of Quadra Logic Technologies Inc., Senior Vice President of Glaxo Canada Inc., and Director of Bristol Meyers. Dr. Chase is active as a Board member with several companies and has many contacts in the biotechnology sector which will serve IVT well in the future through potential collaborations and networking opportunities. His initial appointment with IVT as President & CEO is on a part-time interim basis as the Company is at an early-stage of development for human vaccines.

Ross Graham, aged 58, was appointed to the Board of Acambis as a Non-executive Director on 25 March 2004. The Board considers him to be an independent Non-executive Director. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and has been identified by the Board as having recent and relevant financial experience. Ross was most recently Corporate Development Director of Misys plc, which he joined as Finance Director in 1987 at the time of its flotation, and was appointed Corporate Development Director in 1998 with Board responsibility for corporate transactions and management of strategic alliances. He stepped down from Misys' Board of Directors at the end of 2003 after more than 16 years. Prior to his career at Misys, Ross was a Partner with Arthur Young, a predecessor firm to Ernst & Young, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is also a Non-executive Director of Wolfson Microelectronics plc, Psion plc, and Patientline plc, and Non-executive Chairman of Vecta Software Corporation Ltd. Mr Graham attends numerous courses and lectures on audit, financial, remuneration and non-executive related matters.

William J. Jenkins has been a non-executive director since July 2000. He serves on the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. Until March 1999, Dr. Jenkins was the Head of Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs Worldwide and a member of the Executive Committee at Novartis Pharma AG in Switzerland. Dr. Jenkins is a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry and to private equity and venture capital firms and a non-executive director of BTG plc, Consort Medical plc, Vaximm AG and Monogram Biosciences, Inc. He is Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Evotec AG and a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of BB Biotech Ventures II and Nicholas Piramal India Ltd. Dr. Jenkins holds a B.A., M.D., and other advanced degrees from Cambridge University in England, as well as advanced degrees from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom and from London University.

Lyndsay Wright is Vice President of Communications and Investor Relations. She joined Acambis in 2001 to establish the Communications function and oversees both internal and external communication activities, including investor relations, media relations and employee communications. Prior to joining to Acambis, Lyndsay worked in the Communications department of Associated British Ports Holdings PLC.

Dr. Marc S. Collett joined Acambis in November 2005 as Vice President of Research. He has over 25 years experience in the biotechnology/biopharmaceutical industry and has participated in the discovery and development of vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and pharmaceuticals through NDA filing. Prior to Acambis, Dr. Collett co-founded ViroPharma Incorporated and served as its Vice President of Discovery Research for 10 years. Before that, Dr. Collett served in various Research Director positions at PathoGenesis Corporation, MedImmune, Inc. and Molecular Genetics, Inc. Dr. Collett has also served on the faculty of the Department of Microbiology, University of Minnesota Medical School and the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Collett received his PhD in molecular and cell biology from the University of Michigan.

Alan Dalby, aged 69, became a Non-executive Director of Acambis on 1 May 1998. He is the Senior Independent Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. The Board considers Alan to be an independent Non-executive Director. Alan was previously an Executive Director of SmithKline, a predecessor company to GlaxoSmithKline plc, and retired from the role of Chairman of Reckitt Benckiser plc in 2001. He is a Director of Alteon, Inc., a US-based biotechnology company.

Alan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He joined the Board of Acambis plc as a Non-executive Director in 1995 and was appointed Non-executive Chairman in 1999. He was Group Managing Director of Anglian Water plc until December 1997 and is currently Chairman of Avlar BioVentures Limited.
