Spirent Communications

Duncan Lewis was appointed to the Board on 1 July 2007. Mr Lewis is chief executive officer of Vislink plc, a technology company supplying secure communication systems to the broadcast, law enforcement and marine and energy markets. Until October 2008 he was senior adviser to The Carlyle Group, assisting them in developing strategy and identifying investments in the telecommunications and media sector worldwide.

Sean Yarborough is currently a Director of Strategy and Field Solutions at Spirent Communications with over 14 years of strategy, product development, and marketing experience in the telecommunications market. Sean has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a M.B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park .

Dave Rennyson is President and COO of Angel.com and is responsible for the company's business, product and technology strategies. Rennyson previously served as Vice President of Sales at Angel.com for over 2 years, during which time he helped Angel.com achieve nearly 60% year on year revenue growth. He came to Angel.com from Spirent Communications, where he held positions as both Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Sales. As VP of Marketing at Spirent, Rennyson developed and launched Spirent's IP services, field force management and DSL solutions. As VP of Sales at Spirent, he formulated account strategies and designed solutions for large telecommunications carriers including Verizon, BellSouth, Cincinnati Bell, TelMex, and Puerto Rico Telecom. Prior to joining Spirent, Rennyson was Vice President of the Network Construction and Implementation Group at Zephion Networks, Inc., where he helped lead the company's business development and strategic alliance efforts. He also oversaw the creation and deployment of a national OC-12 network, as well as the construction of metro fiber networks and backbone hubs spanning 28 cities across the United States. Previously, Rennyson served in a variety of capacities at Verizon, including Director of Operations. Rennyson received a Bachelors Degree with honors in Economics from James Madison University. As a Rotary Scholar, he completed his Master's Degree of Science in Information Technology at the Engineering and Computer Science Colleges of University College, London; and Rennyson also earned an MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Jay Hilbert leads Spirent Communications' worldwide sales organization. Hilbert oversees the all sales related functions for Spirent including sales operations, account management and partner programs. Prior to joining Spirent, Jay was group vice president for sales and marketing, vice president of North American Telco Sales, and vice president of the Broadband, Internet and International Access Products divisions at Alcatel USA, Inc. He has also held senior sales management positions at ADC Telecommunications and Somera Communications. Jay holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Alex Walker currently serves as the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. The Senior Independent Non-Executive Director is available to meet shareholders upon request if they have concerns which contact through the normal channels (the Chairman or an executive director) has failed to resolve, or for which such contact would be inappropriate. It is Company policy to hold at least four Board meetings a year. There were seven Board meetings during 2008. The agenda is settled by the Chairman in advance of the meeting and Board papers are circulated to Board members several days ahead of any meeting. Minutes of previous meetings are circulated to all Board members and approved at the next Board meeting. Full attendance of the Board is expected at meetings and in 2008 all directors attended all seven meetings except Duncan Lewis, who missed two meetings due to unavoidable diary conflicts. Where the director was absent, full documentation for the meeting was issued and briefings were provided as appropriate. Where a director was absent it was ensured that any comments on the documentation or subject matter to be considered were passed to the Board, as appropriate, for consideration. Certain of the matters specifically reserved for the Board's decision have been delegated to three Committees with clearly defined terms of reference which, together with the composition of each Committee, are reviewed annually.
