Action Engine Corporation is the on-device portal company. Action Engine was founded in 2000 with a vision that current approaches for delivering wireless data to mobile devices were incomplete. Trying to force a PC-based wired Internet browsing approach inside of a mobile device falls short on a key purchase driver for wireless data services - usability. Wireless device users do not want to be tied to a network connection and suffer through frustrating and time intensive data entry on a tiny keyboard only to discover that their connection dropped halfway through their request. People are looking for a faster and easier way to access valuable data content on their device. Based on this vision, Action Engine developed a groundbreaking Mobile Application Platform. This client/server based Platform is the first complete solution to harness the power of today's wireless devices to deliver step-by-step, always-available access to today's top content brands. While competitive offerings simply link to data content or merely provide a user interface layer, Action Engine creates a data services experience that is customized to uniquely meet a mobile subscriber's needs. The result is greater offline access to data, tighter integration with handset functions, 80 percent fewer keystrokes and a 20x faster response time than with traditional browser-based solutions. Operators who have deployed the Action Engine Solution have recorded increased first-time and return usage...
