Robert E. Switz was named Chairman of ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) in July 2008 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since August 2003. Switz has played an instrumental role in transforming ADC in recent years, developing and implementing strategies that enabled the company's return to profitability in the broadband marketplace and securing the company's position as one of the leading global providers of network infrastructure for communications service providers. He has led ADC to five straight years of revenue growth, improved profitability and increased cash flow by strategically aligning the company with the high-growth segments of fiber-based and wireless communications networks.
Prior to his President and CEO positions, Switz served ADC as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company. He joined ADC as CFO in January 1994 and has also served the company as Sr. Vice President and Executive Vice President during his tenure. Throughout his ADC career, Switz has held leadership responsibilities for numerous critical functions including strategic planning, business development, corporate technology, marketing communications, sales operations, and information systems. As President of ADC's Broadband Access and Transport Group, he led the company's second largest operating group to revenues of $1.0 Billion in fiscal year 2000.
Before joining ADC, he served as Vice President, European Operations, Ventures & Finance (CFO) at Burr-Brown Corporation, Tucson, Ariz. At Burr-Brown, he had management responsibilities for five start-up ventures and seven European manufacturing and distribution subsidiaries. He also held responsibility for corporate finance, legal, MIS, accounting, purchasing, physical resources, facilities, investor relations and business development. He served Burr-Brown from 1988 to 1994.
Prior to Burr-Brown, Switz held senior financial management positions at Gulfstar Inc. (1986-1988) PepsiCo (1985-1986), AMF (1979-1985) and Olin Corporation (1971-1979).
Switz serves as a director on the boards of Micron Technology, Inc. (NYSE: MU), Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). He received recognition as a Finalist in American Business Awards for Best Executive in 2004 through 2008 and Best Turnaround Executive in 2005 through 2008. In 1999, he was a recipient of the CFO Excellence award from CFO Magazine.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Bridgeport as well as a B.S. in Marketing/Economics from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
Pat O'Brien was named Managing Director of ADC GMbH in Germany, the company's headquarters for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) in June 2007. In addition to his new role, O'Brien serves as President of ADC's Global Connectivity Solutions Business Unit, a position he has held since September 2004. In this role, he oversees ADC's infrastructure product offerings manufactured and distributed in all regions of the world. Before that, O'Brien served as President and Regional Director of the Americas Region for ADC where he was responsible for all product and service development, manufacturing and sales for the region. In his career with ADC, O'Brien also served as President of the Copper and Fiber Connectivity Business Unit from October 2002 to May 2004.
James Mathews was named Chief Financial Officer for ADC in April 2007. As CFO, he is responsible for all ADC financial functions including accounting, treasury, internal controls, audit, tax, investor relations and business development. Mathews previously served as Vice President and Controller at ADC since joining the company in December 2005.
Prior to joining ADC, Mathews served in several financial leadership positions. At Northwest Airlines, he served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Before that, he was Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at CARE USA, the world's largest private relief and development agency. Mathews also held a variety of management positions at Delta Air Lines, including Corporate Controller and Corporate Treasurer.
Mathews holds a Master's degree in Finance from Georgia State University, a Master's degree in Genetics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Humanities and Biology from Emory University.

Michael Day is the Vice President of Technology and Strategy and Chief Technical Officer for ADC, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His responsibilities include Corporate Business Strategy, Technology Strategy, Product Development Effectiveness, Element Management Platform Development, and the India Development Center across ADC.
Dr. Day received his Bachelor of Science with honors in Physics from the University of Missouri, Columbia (Phi Beta Kappa) and his Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in Theoretical Physics. He is a member of the American Physical Society, the IEEE and the IEEE Communications Society. Prior to joining ADC in 2000, Dr. Day performed Strategic Network Planning for Alcatel on a global basis and led the development of Alcatel's strategies for optical networking and convergent IP networks. Prior to Alcatel, Dr. Day's career was entirely in carrier network architecture and technology functions, including responsibilities as network architect of Ameritech's regulated networks for three years, Director of Network Development for Telecom New Zealand, and Supervisor of Transmission Network Architecture at AT&T Bell Labs.
Dr. Day has numerous publications, presentations and chairs of industry conference sessions in network architecture and technology, with particular focus on network evolution, transmission systems and network architectures, protection, restoration and survivability and mission-critical communications networks.
Jeff Pflaum is vice president, general counsel and secretary at ADC. In this role, Mr. Pflaum is responsible for managing ADC's legal affairs and contracting activity worldwide. He also works closely with ADC's board of directors. Since joining ADC in 1996, Mr. Pflaum has been actively involved in matters including corporate finance transactions, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate governance.
Prior to ADC, Mr. Pflaum was in private law practice in Minneapolis focusing in the areas of corporate finance, new business ventures and mergers and acquisitions. He holds a JD from William Mitchell College of Law and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Kimberly Hartwell was named Vice President, Global Go-to-Market in July 2008 and leads ADC's global sales, marketing, customer service and technical support teams. She also serves as Vice President, Go-To-Market for Americas for the company. In her global role, Hartwell is responsible for global sales and marketing initiatives for ADC's Global Connectivity Solutions, Network Solutions and Professional Services business units. Hartwell was named Vice President of Go-To-Market for the Americas in May 2007 with responsibility for sales and marketing initiatives for Global Connectivity Solutions, the Active Infrastructure Group and Professional Services, as well as the management of ADC?s Customer Service organization. She previously served as Vice President of Sales, National Accounts at ADC since joining the company in July 2004. In this position, Hartwell was responsible for driving ADC?s channel sales strategies, including channel development in North America. She also drove an increased sales focus on ADC?s tier 2 and 3 Service Provider accounts, as well as ADC?s Government, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Enterprise and Broadcast markets. Prior to joining ADC, Hartwell was Vice President of Marquee Accounts at Emerson Electric Company, a manufacturer of electrical, electronic and other products for consumer, commercial, communications and industrial markets. She also held a broad range of sales and marketing leadership positions with Marconi in North America and Europe during her 19-year career with that company. Hartwell holds an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, and a BSEE degree from Vanderbilt University.

Nii Quaye is Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for ADC. His responsibilities include the management of company wide strategic initiatives as well as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financial strategic investments across ADC. Mr. O Brien joined ADC in 1993 as a product manager for the company s DSX products. During the following eight years, he held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility in the product management area, including Vice President and General Manager of copper and fiber connectivity products. Mr. O Brien served as President of our Copper and Fiber Connectivity Business Unit from October 2002 to May 2004. From May 2004 through August 2004, Mr. O Brien served as our President and Regional Director of the Americas Region. He was named President of ADC s Global Connectivity Solutions Business Unit in September 2004. Prior to joining ADC, Mr. O Brien was employed by Contel Telephone for six years in a network planning capacity.
Mr. Wangberg has been a director of ADC since October 2001. Mr. Wangberg served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of TechTV (formerly ZDTV, Inc.), a cable television network focused on technology information, news and entertainment, from August 1997 until his retirement from these positions in July 2002. Previously, Mr. Wangberg was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of StarSight Telecast, Inc., an interactive navigation and program guide company, from February 1995 to August 1997. Mr. Wangberg is also a director of Autodesk, Inc. and Charter Communications, Inc.

B. Kristine Johnson is president of Affinity Capital Management, a venture capital firm that invests primarily in seed and early-stage health care companies in the United States. She has held this position since 2000. She served as a consultant to Affinity Capital Management in 1999. Prior to serving as a consultant to Affinity Capital Management in 1999, Johnson was employed for 17 years at Medtronic, Inc., a manufacturer of cardiac pacemakers, neurological and spinal devices and other medical products, serving most recently as senior vice president and chief administrative officer from 1998 to 1999. Her experience at Medtronic also includes service as president of the vascular business and president of the tachyarrhythmia management business, among other roles. Mr. Boyle has been a director of ADC since November 1999. Mr. Boyle was appointed Chief Executive officer of Arbor Networks, Inc., a company that researches next-generation cyber threats and develops solutions that prevent network attacks, in June 2005. Prior to joining Arbor Networks, Mr. Boyle served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Equallogic, Inc., a company that develops networked storage by building intelligent storage solutions that extend the benefits of consolidated storage throughout the enterprise, from 2003 to 2004. From April 2000 to July 2003, Mr. Boyle served as Chief Executive Officer of Cogentric, Inc., a provider of solutions to enable decision makers to evaluate and enhance their Web-based capabilities. Dr. Prabhu has been a director of ADC since November 2008. Dr. Prabhu served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Tellabs from February 2004 until his retirement in February 2008.
