Dr. Anne Klaeysen is currently the first Humanist Chaplain at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY; part-time Leader of the Ethical Humanist Society of Queens; and co-mentor of class 15 of the Humanist Institute. She served the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island as Leader from 2002 to 2008. Anne holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hebrew Union College and Master's degrees in Business Administration from New York University and in German from the State University of New York at Albany. She is also a graduate of the Humanist Institute (class 10) and spent two years studying at the University of Wuerzburg in Germany. In addition to her work as Society Leader and chaplain, Anne is a member of the Board of Governors of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, where she represents the American Ethical Union. She is also an active participant in Empire State Pride in the Pulpit; New Yorkers Against the Death Penalty; the Interfaith Peace Alliance; and Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. This summer she gave presentations on forgiveness at the World Fellowship Center in Conway, New Hampshire and to the American Friends Service Committee. As a result she will serve as a consultant to the New York State Office for Mental Health and will help in developing a new Center for Healing and Transformative Justice. Anne also serves the American Ethical Union as Chair of the Training Committee, which is responsible for recruiting and training Ethical Culture Leaders and Celebrants; and is National Leaders Council liaison to the Religious Education Committee, YES (Youth in Ethical Societies for teens), and FES (Future Ethical Societies for college students). As a member of the American Humanist Association and the International Humanist and Ethical Union, Anne gave a presentation at the recent joint conference on the need for humanist chaplaincies in health care, academia, the military and criminal justice system. She is working on developing guidelines and training for these positions and promoting them within the humanist movement. Anne lives in Park Slope, Brooklyn, with her husband Glenn Newman, President of both the New York City Tax Commission and Tax Appeals Tribunal. They were married at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture, where they became members and served on the Board of Trustees (at different times). Their children Andrew and Emily graduated from the Children's Sunday Assembly program.

Beth Forhman, L.C.S.W., D.S.W., is the Director of Family Therapy at Bio-Behavioral Institute. Dr. Forhman has been in private practice in Smithtown and Great Neck for 31 years. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University for twenty six years, teaching in the M.S.W. and D.S.W. Programs. Dr. Forhman received her B.S.W., M.S.W., and D.S.W. degrees from Adelphi University. Jonathan Goodman, High School Honor Choir Program, is a tenor, vocal clinician and coach who began his singing career touring 10 countries and making several recordings with the Grammy-winning ensemble Chanticleer. This also provided him the chance to give master classes and clinics to small ensembles and soloists across the U.S. and Europe. As a soloist in oratorio and opera, he has appeared with the American Symphony, Steve Reich Ensemble, Musica Sacra, Orchestra of Saint LukeOs, New York Collegium, American ComposersO Orchestra and others. He has recorded Brahms Vocal Quartets and Schubert Vocal Quartets; both CDs are on the Arabesque label. He has sung 20th Century Music under conductors Leon Botstein, Brad Lubman, Steve Sloane and Christopher Lyndon-Gee; Baroque Music under Gustav Leonhardt, Andrew Parrott and Christophe Rousset. Mr. Goodman makes worldwide appearances with the Steve Reich Ensemble in ReichOs multi-media opera The Cave. He appears yearly at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in a wide variety of oratorio roles, including all Evangelist roles. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he is an adjunct Professor of Voice at Adelphi University.

Kerry Prep, High School Honor Choir Musical Theater Program, is an adjunct professor in the Performing Arts and General Education Departments at Adelphi University, and also a BFA alumnus of Adelphi. An actor, singer, director, and musical composer, Kerry resides in Huntington with his wife, Helen, and daughter, Molly. In 2001, Kerry debuted his sold-out cabaret If You Can Find Me, IOm Here, directed by Ed Linderman. He is currently writing his next cabaret, Grateful, for 2010, as well as fine-tuning his coming-of-age teen musical, Y ME? A Musical for the "Y" Generation. NYC acting credits include A ChildOs Christmas in Wales (directed by Ed Berkeley) and Jacques Brel Is... TV credits include All My Children and Woody Allen's Don't Drink The Water. 25 years ago, seeking a creative outlet to supplement his acting career, Kerry founded Preppygrams, a singing telegram company, which specializes in custom-written songs serving the New York Metropolitan area. Kerry has toured up and down the East Coast, playing keyboards in a rock band, and has composed lyrics and music for several cabaret-style musicals, including Myth America (No Gurlz Allowed), Friday the 31st (A Dyslexic Halloween), and The Castratos (True or Falsetto) with playwright Frederick Stroppel. For the past five years, Kerry has directed the incoming Freshmen Performing Arts majors at Adelphi University in their debut Workshops: Te Deum For Young Comedians (in collaboration with Jacques Burdick), Myth Noir: Tales of OvidOs Metamorphoses, Alf Layla Wa Layla (1001 Arabian Nights), Lysistrata -- the musical, and The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet. Kerry served as Musical Director in back-to-back productions of Urinetown at Adelphi in the fall of 2006 (directed by Ted Sod) and then C.W. Post in the spring of 2007 (directed by Victor Maog). In the fall of 2008, Kerry was Musical Director for the first post-Broadway production of Jonathan Larson's RENT. He is also a teaching artist with Inside Broadway, a not-for-profit corporation, which places professional performers in New York City schools, introducing children to theatre through build-a-musical workshops. Robert F. Bornstein received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986, completed a year-long internship at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, and is Professor of Psychology at Gettysburg College. received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986, and is Professor of Psychology at Gettysburg College. He has published more than 150 articles on personality dynamics and treatment. Dr. Bornstein wrote The Dependent Personality (Guilford Press, 1993), co-authored (with Mary Languirand) When Someone You Love Needs Nursing Home Care (Newmarket Press, 2001), and edited seven other volumes of psychological research. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and Society for Personality Assessment. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and National Science Foundation, and he received the Society for Personality Assessment's 1995 and 1999 Awards for Distinguished Contributions to the Personality Literature. Shayshahn "Phearnone" MacPherson first love is music. He has played in a variety of venues ranging from hip-hop to jazz, classical and alternative music. Phearnone is a native New Yorker. Born in Manhattan and raised in Da Bronx, where he now teaches violin, dance, and aerobics when he is not performing. Shayshahn also plays the Djembe, and Dun-duns (West African drums) for many dance companies like Harlem School of the Arts, and Jewels of the Nile. He performs and is an Adjunct Lecturer at Bronx Community college and Adelphi University. Known as "Mr.Mac" to many undergrad, high school and junior high school students Shayshahn almost seems ubiquitous when you add all of the events, clubs, videos, and commercials that Shayshahn is a part of throughout and outside the city. Phearnone is pioneering performing spoken word while simultaneously playing the five-string violin. And is winning many poetry slams doing it. If that wasn't enough Phearnone is in many theater productions in New York. One company that he often performs with nationally as well as internationally with is the "Classical Theater of Harlem".

Sidney Boquiren, High School Honor Choir Program, is an Assistant Professor of Music at Adelphi University. He is a composer of mostly chamber, choral, vocal, and piano works that have been performed in Asia, Europe and North America. Dr. Boquiren studied composition with Michael Schelle at Butler University, where he graduated summa cum laude with his Bachehor of Musis degree in 1992, on a scholarship. He then studied composition with Stephen Jaffe and Scott Lindroth at Duke University and there earned his MA in 1994 and Ph.D in 1999, on the Mary Duke Biddle Fellowship. Among his honors are the William Klenz Prize in Composition from Duke University (1994, for Pater Noster), First Prize in the Ali nor harpsichord competition in Atlanta (1994, for Sala'am) and a High Commendation in the competition of the New London Chamber Choir (2000, for Iyeyan. He has also received an Honorable Mention in the Gaudeamus competition and the Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship (2003-04). His music has been performed in Belgium, France, Greece, Japan, The Netherlands, The Philippines, and the USA, including once at the Asian Music Festival in Manila (1997) and twice at the Gaudeamus Muziekweek (2000-01). Dr. Boquiren is also active in other positions. He sang as a bass-baritone with the Duke University Chorale and Chamber Choir from 1992-2001 and with the Vocal Arts Ensemble from 1996-2003 and conducted the chorus Summa (formerly the Boquiren Chamber Singers) from 1997-2003. He has performed in various capacities with the new music ensemble Pulsoptional since 1999. He taught musicianship and music theory at Duke University from 1995-99 and served as composer-in-residence at the Durham School of the Arts in 1998. He taught Christian worship and music, composition and experimental music at the Penn Humanities Forum of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 2003-04 and analysis, composition, ear training, form, harmony, and music theory as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Adelphi University in 2004-05.

Tim Needles is art and film teacher at Smithtown High School and an adjunct professor at Adelphi University. He earned a M.A. with a focus in media arts from the State University of Stony Brook and a B.F.A. in photography and education from the School of Visual Arts. He is an Adobe Master Teacher and has been teaching fine art, film history, animation, and media arts for over eight years on the high school and college level. Tim is also the founder and director of The Strictly Students Film Festival. Tim has been the recipient of the Robert Rauschenberg Power of Art Award, the Suffolk County Legislature Award of Merit, and he was recently recognized by the National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts. Tim is also a freelance artist, animator, and writer and continues to exhibit and perform regularly.

Carol A. Ammon founded Endo Pharmaceuticals in 1997. She served as President and CEO until her retirement in 2005. She served as Chairman of the Board of Endo from April 2003 until May 2007. Prior to founding Endo, Ms. Ammon was the President of DuPont Merck?s U.S. Pharmaceuticals Division from 1996 through 1997, and from 1993 through 1995 she was the President of DuPont Merck?s Generic Products Division. Bob Willumstad is a co-founder of Brysam Global Partners and currently serves as a senior advisor to the firm. He served as Chairman of the Board of American International Group from 2006 to 2008, and was also Chief Executive Officer for part of 2008.  In 2005, Mr. Willumstad retired from Citigroup where he had been President and Chief Operating Officer, a member of the Management and Business Heads Committees, and served on the Board of Directors.Prior to joining Citigroup's predecessor companies, Mr. Willumstad spent 20 years with Chemical Bank in positions spanning Operations, Retail Banking and Computer Systems, including the post of President of Chemical Technologies Corporation.
