Dr. Bharat K. Singh is Managing Director of Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd., a conglomerate whose businesses span Viscose Filament Yarn, Carbon Black, garments, textiles and insulators. It also has subsidiaries/ JVs engaged in finance, insurance, IT and BPO businesses. Dr. Singh also heads the Corporate Strategy Cell that continuously tracks the business environment of each existing business, recommends new directions, plans and develops new initiatives for the Group and evaluates project proposals developed by Group companies. Dr. Singh joined the Aditya Birla Group in 1996. He has over 36 years of experience in several operational and corporate management functions in companies such as the ITC Group, Sandoz, RPG Group and McDonalds. Dr. Singh is a mechanical engineer with a master's degree in business management from I.I.M, Calcutta and a doctorate from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Several national and international organisations, leading universities, institutes of management, I.L.O., U.N.D.P. and others have drawn on his expertise.

Mr.Vikram Rao heads the Group's Textile and Apparel business. The businesses managed by Mr. Rao include fabrics, yarn, apparel and apparel-led lifestyle retail operated through units of Madura Garments, Madura Garments Exports Ltd., Bhiwani Textiles Mills, Jayashree Textiles and Vikram Woolens. Mr. Rao is also a director on the board of Aditya Birla Nuvo Limited. Mr. Rao joined the Group in 1999 from Arvind Mills Limited where he was the President of the Shirting Division and Bed and Bath Projects. He also held additional responsibility as President of Knit Fabrics and Garment Division. Mr. Rao started his career with Madura Coats in 1975 as a management trainee and, over the years, became the President of the Textile Division, reporting to the Chairman of Madura Coats. Mr. Rao holds the chairmanship of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) task force on textiles for Karnataka. He was awarded the Super Achiever Award by the Indira Group of Institutes, Pune in 2003. Mr. Rao is well known and highly regarded in the textile and apparel industry in India. Mr. Rao holds degrees in chemical engineering and business management. He is married, with two children and is a tennis and theatre enthusiast.
