Dr. Jackson is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Adolor. He previously held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Omnicare Clinical Research, a large multinational CRO. Dr. Jackson has worked for over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry managing clinical studies and programs in all areas of the world and in many different therapeutic specialties including cardiovascular, allergy, neurology, psychiatry, infectious diseases, anesthesia/analgesia, oncology, and gastroenterology. He has held positions of increasing responsibility with American Cyanamid, A.H. Robbins, and Janssen and has been involved in the submission of numerous New Drug Applications. Dr. Jackson has experience in hospital and community practice both as an investigator and as a treating physician. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Dr. Jackson earned his medical degree from the University of Glasgow, U.K. and was a former clinical teacher at the Medical School at the University of Southampton, England.

Dr. Salinas has more than fifteen years of pharmaceutical industry research experience. Most recently, he has served as the executive vice president of Global Research & Development and chief scientific officer for Shire, Inc. Prior to joining Shire, Dr. Salinas served in several senior management roles at Wyeth-Ayerst including vice president of research for North and South America. He has published scientific articles and abstracts worldwide in psychopharmacology. Dr. Salinas earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master in Pharmacology from the University Paris, France where he also performed his residency in Psychiatry.

Dr. Barrett has over twenty years of pharmaceutical industry and academic research experience. Most recently, he served as president, research and development at Memory Pharmaceuticals, where he oversaw all exploratory, discovery, preclinical and clinical research and development activities for the company. From 1995 to 2002, he was the vice president, neuroscience discovery research at Wyeth. From 1992 to 1995, he was the director, central nervous system division at Lederle Laboratories. He has published more than 275 scientific articles, books and abstracts in the areas of neuropharmacology, neurobiology and neuroscience. He was recently elected president of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics for the 2005 term. Dr. Barrett earned his Ph.D. in Psychology and Neurobiology from Pennsylvania State University.

Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer; Mr. Webster has over 20 years of Healthcare Industry related experience, most recently serving as Managing Director, Healthcare Investment Banking at Broadpoint Capital (formerly First Albany Capital). Prior to Broadpoint Capital, Mr. Webster was co-founder, President and CEO of Neuronyx, Inc., a privately-held biotechnology company. Mr. Webster also spent over 13 years at PaineWebber Incorporated, including as Director, Investment Banking Division, Health Care Group. Mr. Webster earned his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and his AB in Economics cum laude from Dartmouth College. Mr. Webster currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania BIO Association.

Mr. Maurer, 53, joined Adolor in 2002 as Senior Director Commercial Manufacturing, and has held roles of increasing responsibility since, most recently serving as Vice President, CMC and Manufacturing. Prior to joining Adolor, Mr. Maurer held manufacturing positions at Viropharma, Incorporated and Schering-Plough Corp.

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary; previously Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Cephalon, Inc. During his six year tenure with Cephalon, Mr. Limongelli held roles of increasing responsibility within the organization. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Limongelli was an associate in the business and finance section with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP. Mr. Limongelli began his career as a supervising senior accountant with KPMG LLP and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). Mr. Limongelli received his J.D. and his M.B.A. from Temple University.

Amy E. Romero-Gasman has over 14 years of healthcare and pharmaceutical experience, and joined Adolor in 2002 as senior director, marketing. Ms. Romero-Gasman's experience includes Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, where she held several progressive marketing positions with the most recent being product director, analgesics. In this role, she managed the Ultram(TM) franchise and led the successful launch for Ultracet(TM), a prescription pain reliever indicated for the short-term management of acute pain. Prior to joining Adolor, she served as the director of marketing for Oxford GlycoSciences. Ms. Romero-Gasman earned a B.A. in Biological Psychology with honors from The American University.

Ms. Frey joined Adolor as Director, Project Management in 2000. Prior to that, Ms. Frey was an Associate Director in the project management department at SmithKline Beecham in the Cardiopulmonary Therapeutic Area. Ms. Frey received her MS Degree in Microbiology from the University of Arkansas.

David D. Christ, Ph.D. has been appointed to the position of senior director, DMPK. Prior to joining Adolor, Dr. Christ held positions of increasing responsibility in drug discovery and development in drug metabolism, most recently at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and at DuPont Pharmaceuticals for 14 years. Dr. Christ has authored several preclinical sections of IND and NDA submissions. Dr. Christ earned his Doctorate and Master's in Pharmacology from Medical University of South Carolina.

David M. Stephon has over seventeen years of experience in commercial and clinical development operations at leading pharmaceutical companies. He joined Adolor in 2002 as senior director, quality assurance from Elan Pharmaceuticals, where he most recently held the position of associate director, compliance. In this position, he was responsible for leading the company's quality assurance department for GCP, GLP and GMP compliance. Mr. Stephon is also an Editorial Advisory Board member for the Journal of GxP Compliance and has published numerous articles in quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Mr. Stephon earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Muhlenberg College and his M.S. in Chemistry from Lehigh University.

Dr. Garver joined Adolor in 1998 and previously she held various positions at SmithKline. Dr. Garver received her Doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University.

Vice President, Clinical Operations, previously assistant vice president, psychopharmacologic drug development at Wyeth Research, where he oversaw more than 15 global neuroscience drug development programs and served as a representative of the Neuroscience Leadership Team responsible for establishing the business strategy for neuroscience drug development from early development through life cycle management programs. For more than 20 years he also held positions of increasing responsibilities in clinical research and development with the American Cyanamid Company and Hoffmann-LaRoche, Inc. He has published more than 145 scientific articles, books, abstracts and poster presentations in the areas of neuropharmacology, neurobiology, neuroscience and psychiatric disorders. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Dr. Mangano earned his Ph.D. in BioChemistry from Fordham University.

Vice President, Discovery; previously Senior Director, Pharmacology at Purdue Pharma, LP. Prior to joining Purdue, Dr. Woodward held successive positions with CoCensys, Inc., initially as an Associate Director, In Vivo Pharmacology and Electrophysiology, culminating in Vice President, Discovery. Dr. Woodward also held a senior research position with Acea Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Dr. Woodward is an electrophysiologist by training and has focused on pain and pain targets for most of his career. Dr. Woodward has successfully led or managed over a dozen analgesic discovery and development programs. Dr. Woodward earned his B.Sc. in Cellular and Molecular Biology and his Doctorate in Biophysics from the University of London, UK.

Mr. Megaffin has demonstrated achievement throughout his career in driving growth within brand marketing units and launching several major products. Mr. Megaffin served most recently as a senior director of marketing at Schering-Plough, where he led the re-positioning and messaging of PegIntron(R) globally. Prior to that, Mr. Megaffin developed the platform for key commercial activities for the launch of Vaprisol(R) as a director of marketing for Yamanouchi Pharma America.

Wei Du, Ph.D., has been appointed vice president biometrics and data management. Dr. Du was previously a clinical statistics consultant to the pharmaceutical industry where she worked on multiple NDA filings. Prior to that, Dr. Du was vice president biometrics and database management of Medeva America, Inc. Dr. Du has had over 13 years experience in biostatistics and data management in the pharmaceutical industry including Omnicare Clinical Research (formerly IBAH, Inc.). Dr. Du earned her M.S. in Statistics and her Ph.D. in Biometrics, from the University of Idaho.

Armando Anido has served as one of our directors since July 2006 and Chief Executive Officer and President since July 2006. Since August 2003, Mr. Anido has served as a director of Adolor Corporation and currently serves as Chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee. Mr. Anido has over 25 years of biopharmaceutical experience. Prior to Auxilium, he was the Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing for MedImmune, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on developing and marketing products in the therapeutic areas of cancer, infectious disease and immune regulation, where he was responsible for worldwide commercialization of their portfolio. He also served on MedImmune s Executive Committee and Product Development Committee. Prior to joining MedImmune in 1999, from 1995 to 1999, Mr. Anido was with GlaxoWellcome, Inc. where he served as Vice President, Central Nervous System Marketing after joining the company as Director, HIV Marketing. Mr. Anido was employed by Lederle Labs from 1989 to 1995 in various commercial roles, culminating as Vice President, Anti-infectives. Mr. Anido received his B.S. in Pharmacy and his M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from West Virginia University.

Dr. Gemayel was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective June 2, 2008. Dr. Gemayel joins Altus Pharmaceuticals from Genzyme Corporation where he was Executive Vice President and a corporate officer. Dr. Gemayel joined Genzyme in 2003. He was responsible for the company’s therapeutics, transplant, renal and biosurgery businesses. Before he joined Genzyme, Dr. Gemayel worked for the health care company Hoffman-LaRoche for 16 years. There he served as Vice President of the U.S. Specialty Care Business with responsibilities for oncology, transplantation, hepatitis, HIV and dermatology. He also was the general manager of Hoffman-LaRoche, Portugal. Dr. Gemayel completed his doctorate in pharmacy at St. Joseph University in Beirut and earned a Ph.D. in pharmacology at Paris-Sud University.

Prior to serving as the global head of Medical Science of Roche, Dr. Magni served as the company's head of the Central Nervous System Group. Combined, these positions involved Dr. Magni at a senior level in strategic decisions related to the management of Roche's development pipeline. Earlier, Dr. Magni had served as European CNS project director of Wyeth-Ayerst in Paris. He had also served as head of CNS Clinical Research at Synthelabo in Paris. Dr. Magni is the author of more than one hundred papers published in international peer reviewed journals and is a member of numerous societies including the American Academy of Sciences and the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr. Magni received his M.D. from the University of Padua, Italy and his Ph.D. from the University of Rome, Italy.

Dr. Goddard has served as the chairman of our board of directors since August 2003 and was appointed our chief executive officer in April 2005. From March 2000 and August 2005, Dr. Goddard served as chairman and part-time executive of several companies including A.P. Pharma, Inc., a pharmaceutical company, and XenoPort, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company. From October 1998 until March 2000, he was chief executive officer of Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the largest division of Elan Corporation plc, a biotechnology company. He was chief executive officer of Neurex Corporation, a biotechnology company, from February 1991 until October 1998 when the company was acquired by Elan Corporation plc. Prior to 1991, Dr. Goddard held various senior management positions at SmithKline Beecham plc, a pharmaceutical company, including senior vice president strategic marketing and senior vice president Far East region. He obtained his doctorate degree from St. Mary's Hospital, London, in the area of etiology and pathophysiology of colon cancer. Dr. Goddard remains on the board of directors of A.P. Pharma, Inc., Adolor Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company, and Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company.

Thomas P. Hess, CPA, Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer, is a seasoned financial executive with 20 years of domestic and international experience. Prior to joining Yaupon Therapeutics, Mr. Hess was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Adolor Corporation from 2005 to 2008 where his responsibilities included investor relations, SEC reporting and cash management. From 2003 until joining Adolor Corporation, Mr. Hess was Corporate Controller of Vicuron Pharmaceuticals, Inc, a biopharmaceutical company that was acquired by Pfizer I nc. in 2005 for $1.9 billion. From 2000 until 2003, Mr. Hess was Controller of Innovative Solutions and Support, Inc., a manufacturer of high tech avionics equipment. Prior to joining Innovative Solutions and Support, Inc., Mr. Hess was with KPMG LLP for ten years in various positions, including as a senior manager. Mr. Hess has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh.
