THOMAS R. STANTON has served as our Chief Executive Officer and a director since September 2005, and as our Chairman of the Board since April 2007. Prior to becoming our Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Stanton served as our Senior Vice President and General Manager - Carrier Networks from 2001 to September 2005, Vice President and General Manager - Carrier Networks from 1999 to 2001, and Vice President - Carrier Networks Marketing from 1995 to 1999. Before joining ADTRAN, Mr. Stanton served as Vice President - Marketing & Engineering for Transcrypt International, Inc. in 1995. He also served as Director, Marketing and then Senior Director, Marketing, for the E.F. Johnson Company from 1993 until joining Transcrypt in 1995. Mr. Stanton is 43.

Matthews joined ADTRAN in 2001 as senior vice president – finance, chief financial officer and treasurer. He was appointed secretary and a director of the board in February 2007. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Matthews was chief financial officer of Home Wireless Networks, Inc., a provider of wireless voice and data networks for the telecommunications industry. Also, Matthews served as chief financial officer, and later as president and chief executive officer of Miltope Group Inc., a provider of custom computing devices and peripherals for the commercial aerospace and defense industry. He also served in a variety of financial and operating capacities within divisions of Hughes Aircraft, Amstrad Plc and ITT in areas of manufacturing, distribution, mergers, acquisitions and new business development. Matthews is a graduate of Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy.

Dr. Schneider is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Rolla. Upon completion of his Ph.D. in 1992, he joined the ADTRAN technical staff where he has been involved with DSL development, and was part of the team that developed the world’s first commercial implementation of Trellis Coded Pulse Amplitude Modulation (TC PAM). He currently serves on the board of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solution (ATIS) and as convener of the ATIS IPTV Interoperability Forum. He was a significant contributor to the Committee T1 standards in High Bit Rate Digital Subscriber Line (HDSL) and Spectrum Management, and served on the Wireline Spectral Integrity focus group of the FCC-chartered National Reliability and Interoperability Council (NRIC). As CTO, he leads the advanced development technical staff who is responsible for ADTRAN’s new technology development efforts and participation on numerous industry standards committees.

As senior vice president of global operations, Foliano is responsible for global operations, including all manufacturing, supply chain and logistics functions. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, including serving as senior vice president of global operations for Somera Communications as well as several executive positions within Lucent and AT&T. His responsibilities have included managing global production, logistics, customer service, business services, information technology, supply chain planning and procurement. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University, an Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and an Master of Science degree in Management from Stanford University.

As senior vice president and general manager of the Carrier Networks (CN) Division, Wilson is responsible for all carrier engineering, marketing, sales and support functions. Wilson joined ADTRAN in 1998. He has served in a number of roles for the Carrier Networks Division and most recently served as vice president of product marketing. He has played a key role in the development and introduction of several ADTRAN product lines that are widely deployed by telecommunications carriers. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Wilson served in a number of management roles for Wyle Laboratories. While there, his responsibilities included sales, marketing and engineering management for Wyle’s testing and engineering services to the telecommunications, aerospace/defense and nuclear equipment qualification industries. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

As senior vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Networks (EN) Division, Schansman is responsible for all enterprise engineering, marketing, sales and support functions. Schansman joined ADTRAN in 1996. He has served in a number of positions with the company for both the EN and CN Divisions and most recently served as vice president of engineering for systems products for the CN Division. During his tenure, he has been responsible for the development of several ADTRAN product lines used by both enterprise and carrier customers. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Schansman held positions with SCI Systems, General Digital Industries and Radiometrics. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

H. FENWICK HUSS has served as Dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University since July 2004. Prior to his appointment as Dean, Dr. Huss was Associate Dean from 1998 to 2004 and Director of the School of Accountancy at Georgia State from 1996 to 1998. He has been a member of the School of Accountancy faculty since 1989. He also served on the faculty of the University of Maryland as an assistant professor from 1983 to 1989, and is a visiting professor at the Universite Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. Dr. Huss has been a member of our Board of Directors since October 2002. Dr. Huss is 58.

H. FENWICK HUSS has served as Dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University since July 2004. Prior to his appointment as Dean, Dr. Huss was Associate Dean from 1998 to 2004 and Director of the School of Accountancy at Georgia State from 1996 to 1998. He has been a member of the School of Accountancy faculty since 1989. He also served on the faculty of the University of Maryland as an assistant professor from 1983 to 1989, and is a visiting professor at the Université Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. Dr. Huss has been a member of our Board of Directors since October 2002. Dr. Huss is 57.

JAMES L. NORTH is an attorney with James L. North & Associates in Birmingham, Alabama and has been counsel to ADTRAN since its incorporation in November 1985. Mr. North has been a practicing attorney since 1965. Mr. North currently serves as a director emeritus and served as a director of ADTRAN from 1993 to December 2002. Mr. North is 71.

Roy Nichols is the co-founder of Nichols Research Corporation, a public information technology company specializing in information solutions and services. Mr. Nichols served as president from 1976-1999 and under his leadership Nichols Research grew into a company that now generates approximately $400M per year in revenues. Mr. Nichols has over twenty years of experience working with companies and building experienced management teams.
