Mr. Jackson, Director and Chief Executive Officer, became a member of our Board in July 2004. Mr. Jackson became the President and Chief Executive Officer on January 7, 2008, and has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 27, 2009. Prior to joining us, Mr. Jackson served in various executive positions with Best Buy Co., Inc., a specialty retailer of consumer electronics, office products , appliances and software, ultimately serving from July 2007 to December 2007 as Executive Vice President of Customer Operating Groups. He joined Best Buy in 2000 and was appointed as its Executive Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer in February of 2001. Prior to 2000, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nordstrom, Inc., Full-line Stores, a fashion specialty retailer, and held various senior positions including Chief Financial Officer of Carson Pirie Scott & Company. He began his career at KPMG. Mr. Jackson serves as Vice Chairman of the Marquette University board and as a director of Cristo Rey Network.

Mr. Wade was appointed President on January 26, 2009. Prior to that he served as Advance’s Executive Vice President, Customer Development Officer – Commercial since February 2008. He joined us in February 1994 and has held multiple other senior leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer. He has played integral roles in a number of acquisitions that have helped Advance to become a leader in the automotive aftermarket including Western Auto Supply Company/Parts America, Discount Auto Parts and Autopart International. Mr. Wade was Vice President, Finance and Operations, for S.H. Heironimus, a regional department store company. Mr. Wade is a certified public accountant.

Kevin Freeland was appointed Chief Operating Officer on January 26, 2009. He joined Advance in February 2008 as Executive Vice President, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Information Technology. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Freeland was the President and Founder of Optimal Advantage, a boutique retail consulting firm. Prior to establishing his own business, Mr. Freeland spent eight years with Best Buy serving as its Vice President of Inventory, Senior Vice President of Inventory and, ultimately, President of the Musicland Division. Mr. Freeland also spent eight years at Payless Shoe Source in a variety of merchandising positions, including his final position as Vice President of Merchandise Distribution.
Mr. Moore joined us in December 2005 and serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Moore worked for Cato Corporation from 1998 to December 2005, where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Mr. Moore also served on Cato's Board of Directors. Prior to Cato, Mr. Moore served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Party Experience, a privately held specialty party goods retailer, from 1997 to 1998. Mike Norona joined Advance in February 2008 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Norona spent his entire 19-year career in various finance capacities with Best Buy, the first 14 of which were with Future Shop, a Best Buy subsidiary in Canada. He has held escalating Finance leadership roles, including officer positions in Shared Services, Retail Decision Support and Head of Finance of Future Shop. Mr. Norona brings significant hands on experience in many aspects of retail and finance through his direct involvement in the company's significant growth. In 2006, Mr. Norona expanded the Financial Services area as a new growth opportunity for Best Buy and he most recently served as Best Buy's President of Financial Services.
Tami Kozikowski joined Advance as Chief Development Officer in May 2009. She most recently served as Senior Vice President, Merchandising for Best Buy where she was responsible for Best Buy's appliance, music, movies and gaming businesses. Prior to this role, she served as Senior Vice President, Retail Support and Operations, including the Geek Squad, and Senior Vice President of Services Operations. Prior to her operations role, she served as Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Property Management.
Mr. Mueller is Executive Vice President, Merchandising and Marketing for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. He joined us in March 2003 and has held his current position since November 2004. From October 2003 to November 2004, Mr. Mueller served as Senior Vice President, Merchandising and Marketing. From March 2003 to October 2003, he served as Vice President, Merchandising Support. Before joining Advance, Mr. Mueller served as Director of Operations for Nutrition Warehouse, a vitamin supplements company, from December 2000 to March 2003. From February 1999 to December 2000, he served as a partner in a privately held retail company. From January 1997 to January 1999, he served as Director of Natural and Organic Marketing with Tops Friendly Markets, a division of Ahold USA, and served as Director of Category Management for Ahold USA from January 1995 to December 1996. Prior to 1995, Mr. Mueller served as Vice President of Merchandising for Fresh Fields, a privately owned supermarket chain.
Mr. Murray, Executive Vice President, Administration, joined Advance Auto Parts, Inc. in April 2005. Before joining us, Mr. Murray served in a variety of positions for Food Lion, LLC. From May 2002 to January 2005, he served as Senior Vice President of Store Operations. From January 2001 to April 2002, he served as Senior Vice President of Procurement, Distribution and Quality Assurance. From July 1999 to December 2000, he served as Vice President of Procurement and Pricing, and from December 1998 to June 1999, he held the position of Vice President of Marketing. Prior to 1998, Mr. Murray held a number of other positions with Food Lion, LLC in a variety of functional areas including category management, information technology and purchasing.
Mr. Klasing is Executive Vice President, Stores for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. He joined us in April 1995 and has held his current position since August 2003. From October 1999 to August 2003, Mr. Klasing served as Executive Vice President, Merchandising and Marketing. From July 1997 to October 1999, Mr. Klasing served as our Senior Vice President, Purchasing. Prior to July 1997, Mr. Klasing held various other positions with Advance.
Mr. Tyson, Senior Vice President, Merchandising, joined Advance in March 2008. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Tyson served as Senior Vice President, Merchandising and Technology with OfficeMax, Inc. for three years. Prior to joining OfficeMax, Mr. Tyson was President of Diversitech Group, an importer of hand and power tools. Prior to that, he worked for Office Depot, Inc. for four years where he held multiple positions with increasing responsibilities including Senior Vice President, Merchandising and General Merchandising Manager; Senior Vice President, World Wide Global Sourcing; and Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager. Mr. Tyson has also held positions previously with Caldor Corporation and Macy's.
Ms. Livesay, Senior Vice President Controller, joined Advance in 1995. She has served in her current position since July 2005. During her tenure at Advance, she has served in several leadership roles in accounting and finance. Prior to joining Advance, Ms. Livesay worked for KPMG LLP, a public accounting firm.
Mr. Oreson joined us in May 2005 and serves as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Advance Auto Parts, Inc. Before joining Advance, Mr. Oreson served as Vice President of Human Resources for Frank’s Nursery & Crafts, Inc. from 1998 to 2005. From 1993 to 1997, he served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for ARAMARK Uniform Services. Prior to 1993, Mr. Oreson worked for Pizza Hut, a division of PepsiCo, where he held a variety of positions, ultimately serving as Division Director, Human Resources.
Mr. Wirth, Senior Vice President, Customer Experience Officer, joined Advance in 1983 and has held his current position since March 2008. He has served as a Store Manager, Division Manager, and since 1991 has held various Senior Vice President positions. Wirth most recently served as the Senior Vice President, Store Operations – Area 5. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Wirth served in the United States Navy.

Ms. Powell joined Advance Auto Parts in September 2002 and has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since April 2009. Prior to that, Ms. Powell served as Acting General Counsel since November 2007. Prior to that Ms. Powell served as Vice President, Real Estate Counsel and as Senior Attorney. Ms. Powell was the first in-house real estate attorney hired by the company. Before coming to Advance, Ms. Powell served as Assistant General Counsel for Food Lion, LLC, in Salisbury, North Carolina. Prior to that, she practiced law with a local law firm.
Amy Young serves as Roanoke Valley Cathedral of Praise's Music Minister. Amy is a life-long member of the Church of God, and as a preacher's kid, she has lived in Florida and several places in Virginia. Amy joined Cathedral of Praise in 1992 and has been actively involved in ministry since then. She previously taught the toddlers on Wednesday nights, helped with music in children's church, sang on the Praise and Worship team, and was a member of the JGYM youth staff. Amy currently serves as the sanctuary choir director, coordinator for praise and worship, Equipper in the Family Care Ministry, pianist and as Women's Ministry president. In high school, Amy sang in regional choirs, accompanied Salem High School Chorale and was runner-up for the 1990 Virginia State Teen Talent in the female solo category. She attended Lee College (now Lee University) until 1990 as a music education major, touring with Campus Choir and singing with Choral Union. In 1991, Amy married Tim Young. Tim attended Lee College and graduated from Radford University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He is a programmer/analyst/project manager for Advance Auto Parts. Tim is also actively involved in ministry at Cathedral of Praise previously serving in the Children's Ministry and currently as an Administrative Deacon, as a member of the "Cheese Crew" and in the Audio/Visual ministry. In 1998, they were blessed with the birth of Sarah and in 2001 with the birth of Jacob. Amy enjoys spending time with her family, especially playing Mario Party 7, reading and preparing new recipes, scrap booking and collecting Donald Ducks.
