Ed Lam is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. He joined Sipex in September 2005. Ed earned his BSEE from San Francisco State University and started his career as a test engineer. He has over 20 years of analog semiconductor industry experience with National Semiconductor where he quickly advanced through the organization and led a business unit with over $400 million in sales. His experience covers all aspect of the analog business including manufacturing, test, and product and strategy development.

Dr. Chen's extensive experience in CMOS, BiCMOS, and DMOS process technology development enables him to lead the development of proprietary process technologies at AnalogicTech, including device conceptualization and modeling, process development and integration, simulation, and intellectual property. He previously served as Vice President of Technology for SmartASIC Technology, where he led the development of the company's high-voltage driver ICs for plasma display panels (PDPs). Prior to his work at SmartASIC, Chen was Chief Technology Officer for CLL Technology, a maker of LCD-TFT gate driver ICs. He has also held executive-level positions at Trident Microsystems (Assistant Vice President of Operations) and OPTi (Vice President of Foundry and Product Engineering). Chen holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.

Since joining AnalogicTech in February 1999, Kevin has led the development of over 24 integrated circuits. Prior to AnalogicTech, Kevin had a prolific 20-year career as a design engineer. He served as a senior staff design engineer at Impala Linear Corporation and Siliconix, and began his career as an engineer at M/A-COM Linkabit. Kevin holds five patents and won the Marconi Award presented by Unico. He earned a BSEE from the University of California at San Diego.

Thomas Weatherford has served as a director since July 2004. Mr. Weatherford served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Business Objects S.A., from September 1997 until his retirement in January 2003. He previously held senior financial positions at NETCOM On-Line Communication Services, Inc., Logitech, Inc., Texas Instruments Incorporated, Schlumberger, and Tandem Computers, Inc. Mr. Weatherford also serves on the boards of directors of Mellanox Technologies, Ltd., Saba Software, Inc., Synplicity, Inc., Tesco Corporation and SMART Modular Technologies. Mr. Weatherford received a B.B.A. from the University of Houston, Texas.

Thomas P. Redfern has served as a director since February 2008. Mr. Redfern served as a National Semiconductor Fellow in the Analog Products Group at National Semiconductor Corp. from 1996 until his retirement in 2001. From 1989 through 1996 he held various directorial positions at National Semiconductor Corp. including Director of the Audio Group, Director of Development for the Audio/Video Group, and Director of New Product Development for the Interface and Peripheral Group. Prior to 1989, Mr. Redfern worked as the Director of MOS Design at Linear Technology Corp and served in various engineering, marketing, and management capacities at National Semiconductor Corp., Garrett Micro-Circuits Corp., and American Micro-Systems Inc. He received an MSEE and BSEE from Stanford University.
Former EVP and CFO; Business Objects S.A. Thomas Weatherford joined the Board effective December 24, 2007 in conjunction with the establishment of the Special Committee, filling a newly-created directorship. Mr. Weatherford retired in January 2003 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Business Objects S.A. With over 37 years in the global technology industry, Mr. Weatherford has held senior financial positions at NETCOM On-Line Communication Services, Logitech, Texas Instruments, Schlumberger, and Tandem Computers in the US, Europe, and Japan. He currently serves on the boards of Saba Software, Inc., Synplicity Inc., Tesco Corporation, Advanced Analogic Technologies, SMART Modular Technologies, Mellanox Technologies, and several private companies. In 2003, Mr. Weatherford was instrumental in leading Peregrine Software to emerge from Chapter 11. He has also served as a panelist for The National Association of Corporate Directors, The National Investor Relations Institute, Pillsbury Winthrop/Ernst & Young, and the KPMG Audit Committee Institute. In July 2007, Mr. Weatherford was named by SEC Chairman Christopher Cox to the newly created Federal Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting.
