As founder and Chief Executive Officer, Stephanie DiMarco has engineered the growth of Advent into one of the world’s leading providers of software and services to the investment management industry. From its founding in 1983, through a successful IPO in 1995, to record revenues in 2007, Ms. DiMarco has built Advent into a global company with 4,500 clients in 60 countries around the world. Prior to founding Advent, Ms. DiMarco worked in the investment industry as a financial analyst and portfolio manager. Ms. DiMarco was named the Financial Woman of the Year in 2003 by the Financial Women's Association, received the Business Leader of the Year by the Haas School of Business in 2000, and was named one of the top 10 financial technology innovators of the decade by Wall Street & Technology Magazine. She serves on the Advisory Board of the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a board member of the San Francisco Foundation, where she chairs the Foundation’s Investment committee. Ms. DiMarco holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.

Lily Chang directs all of Advent's engineering efforts in terms of new product development and product enhancement. In addition, Ms. Chang focuses on advanced development projects and emerging technologies. Under her leadership, Advent has developed and evolved several of the industry’s leading products, including Geneva, Axys, Moxy, Advent Partner and Advent Portfolio Exchange. Ms. Chang came to Advent in 1993 from Oracle, where she was the Vice President of Strategic Accounts, responsible for helping to build strategic account relationships and for managing a group delivering Oracle-based tailored applications for Fortune 500 clients. Ms. Chang has over 20 years of experience in product development. Her experience also includes acting as Vice President of Development for Tesseract's human resources applications and Vice President for Knauer Consulting for banking applications. Ms. Chang is a graduate of Taiwan University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.

Gail joined Advent in October, 2004, and is responsible for evaluating business opportunities, developing product and market strategies, and working with key customers. Prior to joining Advent, Gail was the president and CEO of Thomson Financial Software Solutions, responsible for its enterprise software and services offerings including the Portia product. She then served as senior vice president of Thomson Financial in charge of strategic business development. Most recently, she has consulted on strategy and operations management for several financial software companies, and has served as chief operating officer of LifeHarbor, a provider of enterprise software for the wealth management industry. Gail graduated summa cum laude from Harvard, with a degree in psychology and social relations.

Chris Momsen is Co-Head of Advent’s Global Accounts business unit and Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Momsen has global responsibility for strategy, product marketing and sales of Advent’s solutions for the asset management industry’s largest firms. Mr. Momsen has been with Advent since 1997, holding a variety of leadership roles in product marketing and sales, and has earned the distinction of being a top producing salesperson for the company. In 2008, he led the establishment of Advent Asia, Ltd., and is responsible for growing Advent's market share across Asia and the Pacific Rim. Prior to joining Advent, Mr. Momsen held positions at Wells Fargo in its Real Estate Capital Markets division, at a small money management firm in California, and as an options trader on the floor of the Pacific Exchange. Mr. Momsen earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA, and his MBA from New York University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Todd Gottula is Co-Head of Advent’s Global Accounts business unit and Senior Vice President, Product Development, Client Services and Support. In this role, he has global responsibility for product design, delivery, implementation and support of Advent’s solutions for the asset management industry’s largest firms. Mr. Gottula has been with Advent since 2002, holding a variety of technical leadership roles in product development and client support. Prior to joining Advent, he held development and services leadership positions with TenFold Corporation, an enterprise solution and technology provider, and process engineering and design positions at Ultramar Diamond Shamrock (now Valero) Refining and Technology. Mr. Gottula earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.

Jim Cox joined Advent in 2006 and is now Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer. In this role, he is responsible for Advent’s accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax and finance related operations. Prior to his appointment as Principal Accounting Officer, Mr. Cox served as Corporate Controller. Mr. Cox came to Advent from UTStarcom where he served as Assistant Controller. From 1994 to 2004, he held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Cox holds a B.A. in Economics from Ohio University.

John Brennan joined Advent in March of 2004 and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources. In this role, Mr. Brennan focuses on building and strengthening Advent’s world-class organization with programs and strategies for recruiting, developing and retaining the industry’s strongest talent. Before Advent, Mr. Brennan was Vice President of Human Resources for Wind River Systems, in Alameda, CA, which produces embedded software for various consumer and industrial applications. Prior to Wind River, Mr. Brennan held various positions at Visa International. Mr. Brennan began his Human Resources career with assignments at Westinghouse Electric Company and Pacific Gas and Electric. He has a master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Music from Hamilton College.

Will Clemens is responsible for Advent’s Straight Through Processing (STP) business unit. The STP team lowers costs and operating risk for Advent’s clients by streamlining data integration, providing hosting and outsourcing services, and providing connectivity to counterparties. The STP unit provides solutions for custodian reconciliation, trading connectivity, market data integration, corporate actions processing, interfacing to non-Advent systems, application hosting, and outsourced reporting, accounting and consolidation services. Mr. Clemens first joined Advent in 1997, working in business development and custodian relationship management for Advent Custodial Data. He also served as CEO of a venture-backed lead generation technology company. Mr. Clemens began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.

Hakan Valberg joined Advent in 2003 and is now the Senior Vice President and General Manager for EMEA, responsible for all aspects of growing Advent’s market share across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Prior to joining Advent, Mr. Valberg had accumulated over 20 years of experience working for companies providing high-end solutions to global markets. He served in senior roles for IBM, i2 Technologies, and IMI, enjoying considerable success growing their international businesses and leading large teams to achieve strategic business goals. Mr. Valberg has a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering.

As President of Advent Software, Peter Hess is responsible for the worldwide marketing, sales and services for the Company’s Investment Management, Global Accounts, Straight-Through-Processing (STP), Tamale Research Management groups as well as the Company’s international operations. Prior to his appointment to President, Mr. Hess served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Advent’s Investment Management Group, where he led strategy, product marketing, sales, services and support of Advent’s solutions for the mid- and lower-tier of the asset management industry. Mr. Hess also held operating responsibility for Advent’s European operations. Mr. Hess has been with Advent since 1994. He has held a variety of positions in the company including Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Global Accounts business unit, and, previously, Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing. Mr. Hess earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.

Mr. Scully has been a director since October 2003 and was appointed Chairman of the Board in December 2003. Mr. Scully currently serves as managing director of SPO Partners & Co., a private investment firm he co-founded in 1991, and is a director of Plum Creek Timber Company. He also is a Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Stanford University and the Vice Chairman of Stanford Hospital and Clinics. In addition, Mr. Scully is chairman and founder of the Making Waves Educational Program. Mr. Scully holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and an A.B. from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Anthony Sperling is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Advent Software’s Investment Management Group. In this role he is responsible for strategy, product marketing, sales, services, and support of Advent’s solutions for the asset management industry. Mr. Sperling has been with Advent since 1993 and has held a variety of positions including Senior Vice President, Services and Vice President of Client Sales, and Director of Product Marketing. He has also had sales and services responsibilities in Advent’s European operations. Mr. Sperling holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls.

Ms. Manfredi has been a director since March 2009. Ms. Manfredi retired from Wellington Management Company, LLP in December 2008, having joined the firm in December 1988 and served as a Partner since 1996. From 1988 to 2008, she was Director of Investment Administration and elected Senior Vice President in 1996. As Director of Investment Administration, Ms. Manfredi was responsible for client and fund administration, investment operations, performance services and client cash flow processes. She was Chairman of Wellington’s Error Resolution Council and the Investment Administration Advisory Group, and was also a member of the firm’s Operating and Risk Management Committees. Prior to joining Wellington, she held several senior management positions at Shawmut Bank from 1983 to 1988. As Senior Vice President of the Mutual Fund division, she was responsible for mutual fund administration, custody and shareholder services. As Division Head of the Investment Securities division, Ms. Manfredi was responsible for Shawmut’s securities processing, custody and safekeeping and stock transfer functions. Ms. Manfredi holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Bentley College and received her CPA distinction in 1975.

Mr. Van Auken has been a director since September 1995. Mr. Van Auken is currently a Managing Director of various entities affiliated with Mayfield Fund, a venture capital firm, which he joined in October 1986. Mr. Van Auken is a director of Montgomery Street Income Securities, Inc., an investment company. Mr. Van Auken holds a M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.E.E. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
