Founded in 1937 and headquartered in Plainview, NY, Aeroflex Incorporated designs, manufactures, and markets a range of microelectronic, and test and measurement products. The company makes integrated circuits, microelectronic modules, testing equipment, measurement equipment, and other components and devices. Its products are used in communications systems, aircraft, and satellites. It sells to the US government, Lockheed Martin, Agere Systems, and Teradyne, among others. The company has annual revenue of about $463 million and employs about 2,600 workers. In 2005, the company acquired JcAIR Test Systems ('JcAIR') for cash of $35 million. JcAIR provides customized avionics test solutions in all areas of manual and automatic test equipment for manufacturing, repair and ground support operation. It also acquired UbiNetics Limited, an SPG test and measurement business, for cash of $84 million.
