Currently a consultant for FAO, based in Lima, Peru. Ricardo has a Master's degree in International Development and more than 10 years of working experience in the field of microfinance and rural finance. He has worked in CARE in Peru at their Microenterprise Development Program, he has also been Regional Director of Credits in a lead microfinance institution in Peru for six years. Ricardo is also a consultant for the Affinity Group on Development Finance of the Ford Foundation. He has extensive experience in microfinance, rural finance, participatory approaches, sustainable livelihoods, gender, and administration of microfinance institutions and staff.

Stephen Adams has been the Chairman of our Board of Directors since December 1988. Mr. Adams is also chairman and 90% owner of FreedomRoads which operates RV dealerships (56 dealerships as of December 31, 2007) throughout the United States. In addition, Mr. Adams is the chairman of the board of directors and the controlling shareholder of AOA. Mr. Adams is also the chairman and 95% owner of ABH, which operates through its subsidiary, a national bank.

Helene L. DesRuisseaux is the Chief Compliance Officer for the Cedars-Sinai Health System, the largest nonprofit hospital in the western United States. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai in 1998, she was the Chief Operating Officer at UCLA Medical Center. She has nearly 20 years of experience in health care management at major teaching hospitals including UCLA and Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center. She also serves on the Oversight Committee and lectures on corporate compliance for the UCLA School of Public Health MPH Program for Health Professionals.
