Luke Hunt has worked as a journalist for 20 years, primarily with Agence France-Presse, and is a routine contributor to World Politics Review. In addition to covering the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, he has extensive experience in Asia and the Middle East. He served as AFP bureau chief in Phnom Penh and Kabul. Currently based in Hong Kong, Hunt's work has appeared in many international newspapers and on international networks including CNN, the BBC and ABC in his native Australia. He has an academic background in military studies and economics.

Journalism derailed Dan's career in paleontology during his sophomore year. He started as a cub photographer for the independent student newspaper, The Daily Californian, and soon worked his way up through the paper's ranks and served as photo editor for more than a year. During his tenure as photo editor, he spent upwards of 30 hours a week covering sports, features and breaking news. As a senior, Dan went on to become the paper's editor in chief and president, where his duties included maintaining a $2 million budget and managing a 200-person staff. Pagination, upgrading the photo department to digital cameras, and a successful contract negotiation with the company's union members is his legacy at the paper. Dan now lives in Arlington, Virginia and is working as a multimedia editor at Agence France-Presse in Washington, DC.
