Randall Insurance Agency was established in November 1929 when "Red" Randall came to Greenville. The Agency was formed to provide for the personal and commercial insurance needs of the citizens of Greenville and the surrounding area. In 1953 Chuck Schmermund, CPCU, joined the company as an agent/producer. Chuck provided invaluable service to the Agency for 40 years retiring as Vice President in 1993.

Hugh B. McGowan is president and CEO of McGowan Insurance Group, Inc., an Independent Insurance Agency founded in 1930. McGowan began his insurance career in May of 1969 and has been owner of the agency since 1977. An active member of both IIAI and his local association, the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Indianapolis, Mr. McGowan has been elected as a director for both boards. He has served on and chaired several committees. Hugh is a past president and Agent of the Year award recipient of the local association. He served as president of the Independent Agents' state association in 1998 when it celebrated its 100th year. Hugh is a recent recipient of the state association's Agent of the Year award and has received their Public Image award twice. Mr. McGowan has also been very active on both the national and local levels of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU). He recently was honored with the Central Indiana Chapter CPCU Achievement Award. Hugh has served the Indiana CPCU Chapter in numerous positions including president. His dedication to the insurance profession is demonstrated by his commitment to the CPCU Society on the national level as well. He has served on a number of national committees for this educational organization, as well as being named a national director and regional vice president. Hugh was recently asked to serve as the national president-elect of the Society. Mr. McGowan has also served on several company advisory councils and served as Chairman of Executive Search Committees for several organizations. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mr. McGowan has served as past president of the Indianapolis Alumni Association and was presented their "Award of the Year." Hugh was also recognized by Governor O'Bannon with the prestigious "Sagamore of the Wabash" designation. He currently serves on the board of directors of Cathedral High School. He is past president of the board of directors of the Catholic Youth Organization and was a recipient of their St. John Bosco Youth award. He is also past president of the Sierra Club of Indianapolis. Mr. McGowan is a member of both the Indiana and Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce, the Economic Club, the Indianapolis Athletic Club, and is an associate member of the 500 Festival where he has served on the Mayor's Breakfast Committee, Parade Committee and Membership Committee. Mr. McGowan considers his biggest accomplishment to be coaching his sons in basketball for more than ten years.

Al Santoro is a graduate of Seton Hall Law Center and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1981. He practiced law with the firm of Cole. Geaney, Yamner & Byrne of Paterson until entering the title insurance industry in late 1982 as Assistant State Counsel for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. Since then, Al has been employed as General Counsel of Trans-County Title Agency of New Brunswick and as State Counsel and NJ State Manager of Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation and Agency Manager for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. He is a Past President of the New Jersey Land Title Association and has served as an instructor for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the National Business Institute and the New Jersey Land Title Institute. He has recently received the designation of Certified Title Professional from the New Jersey Land Title Association denoting his experience and service to the title industry in New Jersey.

Kim joined The Rowley Agency in 1987 as an assistant in the Accounting & Administration department. She had previously worked in the accounting department for a non-profit organization in Concord . Kim was promoted to Accounting Manager in 2004 and is responsible for all aspects of the agency's accounting including Accounts Payable, Insurance and Brokerage accounts, cash receipts and purchasing. She is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of all agency facilities. Lynn joined The Rowley Agency in 1997 after spending 10 years with a large law firm in Concord. She is responsible for handling our switchboard operation and greeting all of the agency's visitors. In addition to her duties as Receptionist, Lynn handles all of the incoming mail and also assists in the Accounting Department.

In 1996, John also began working with the firm's health care section handling Certificate of Need litigation. This practice consists of presenting and opposing applications for Certificate of Need ("CON") before Alabama's State Health Planning and Development Agency, including trials of contested cases pursuant to the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act before administrative law judges of the agency, presenting and opposing cases before the Alabama Certificate of Need Review Board, and handling appeals of agency decisions in state circuit and appellate courts. Since 1996, John has been involved in numerous CON matters, and has tried over fifteen CON trials to conclusion, including cases involving open heart surgery services, cardiac catheterization services, ambulatory surgery services, hospital surgical services, free standing radiation therapy and cancer treatment centers, mobile lithotripsy services, magnetic resonance imaging, and general hospital expansion and construction projects.

Kathi Dunn serves as the Assistant Personal Lines Manager of our Agency. She has more than 20 years of Personal Lines insurance experience and is highly qualified to handle all areas of your personal insurance needs. Kathi was born in New Orleans and spent much of her time in Chicago before moving to Houston in 1978. She enjoys the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and bike riding, and loves to travel. Some of her travels take her to see her daughter and son-in-law and, hopefully someday in the future, a grandchild.
