These allow mass market adoption of digital cameras, multimedia cellular phones, USB flash drives and others. The products are used in digital cameras, personal digital assistants, portable digital music players, digital video recorders and smart phones. In January 2006 the company completed its acquisition of Matrix Semiconductor, Inc., a privately held company based in Santa Clara, California for approximately $250 million.
