Those six banks included the lead bank Birmingham-based National Bank of Commerce, Citizens Bank of Talladega, First National Bank of Ashland, Bank of Dadeville, Alabama Exchange Bank in Tuskegee, and Gulf Bank in Gulf Shores. In 1996, First Bank of Baldwin County was acquired and ANB entered 1997 with solid fundamentals and momentum for growth. John J. McMahon, Jr. is Chairman and a co-founder of Ligon Industries, LLC. He has been involved in direct equity investing for more than 30 years. Mr. McMahon worked for McWane, Inc., a closely held manufacturing holding company with over 20 plants and over one billion in sales, for 25 years.
