Alacritech Inc.

Larry Boucher, currently the founder and chief executive officer of Alacritech, invented the SCSI interface -- the industry standard for connecting storage and other peripherals to PCs and servers. Larry is a server adapter, storage and networking luminary with technical and business accomplishments that include establishing and building three successful start-up companies. In 1997, he founded next-generation networking technology start-up Alacritech, Inc. to solve the server bottleneck issue. His engineering team developed session layer interface card (SLIC ) technology, the first scalable and fully compatible technology to offload TCP/IP protocol processing from the host CPU. In 1987, Larry founded Auspex Systems, Inc., an enterprise server manufacturer, where he pioneered a networked file system design that dramatically improved the performance of Unix- and NT-based enterprise servers. In 1981, he founded Adaptec, Inc., a global leader in innovative storage solutions, where he served as its first CEO for six years. Larry received his master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and his master's degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University.

Bill Moore is an independent management consultant. He served as president of Biomation, the company that pioneered the logic analyzer. Prior to Biomation, he served as president of Outlook Technology, Inc., a company engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of digital test instrumentation. He was also a director of Dionex, Inc. and American XTAL Technology, Inc.

Esther Lee joined the company in 1997 as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Alacritech, Ms. Lee was chief financial officer at Auspex Systems, Inc. Previously, she was vice president of finance and corporate controller at Domain Technology. Both companies successfully transitioned from private to public companies during Ms. Lee's tenure.

Russell Lait joined the company as vice president of operations in 1999. Mr. Lait was most recently vice president of operations at Auspex Systems, Inc. During his 11 years with the company, he held a variety of positions in engineering and manufacturing.

Ferrell Sanders is a partner at Alloy Ventures (previously Asset Management Co.), a venture capital firm, based in Palo Alto, CA.. Prior to joining Alloy, he helped form several new start-ups. He was the founding president of Komag, Drivetec and Transimage. From 1974-1980, he was vice president of marketing and sales at Shugart Associates.
