Klaus Kleinfeld is president and chief executive officer of Alcoa. He joined the company in 2007 as president and chief operating officer and seven months later assumed CEO responsibilities. He has served on Alcoa's board of directors since 2003. Alcoa is a world leader in the production and management of a very sustainable product: aluminum. Nearly 75% of the aluminum ever produced since 1888 is still in use today. The company has been a technology leader since its beginning, providing more than 90% of the aluminum alloys used in aircraft and space flight; helping making automobiles lighter, without compromising safety or performance; manufacturing sheet that created the ultimate recyclable container, the aluminum beverage can; and providing building and construction industry materials that help further the green building movement. In addition, to serving customers in these markets, Alcoa also markets wheels, fastening systems, precision and investment castings, and building systems. The company has 97,000 employees in 34 countries. Before coming to Alcoa, Mr. Kleinfeld had a 20-year career with Siemens, the global electronics and industrial conglomerate, based in the U.S. and Germany, where he served as chief executive officer of Siemens AG starting in 2005. During his tenure, Mr. Kleinfeld presided over a dramatic transformation of the company, reshaping the company's portfolio around three high growth areas, resulting in increase of revenues and market capitalization nearly doubled. Prior to his service on the Managing Board of Siemens AG, Mr. Kleinfeld was President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Corporation, its U.S. arm and the company's largest region. In addition to serving on Alcoa's board, he is a member of the board of Bayer AG. On the personal front, Mr. Kleinfeld was born in Bremen, Germany and educated at the University of Goettingen and University of Wuerzburg, both in Germany. He holds a Ph.D in strategic management and master's degree in business administration. In his leisure time, he enjoys skiing, tennis, the arts and is a marathon runner. Mr. Kleinfeld resides in New York with his wife and children.

Charles D. (Chuck) McLane Jr. was elected Chief Financial Officer for Alcoa effective January 2007. He has been vice president and corporate controller for the company since 2002. As CFO, Chuck will have accountability for Alcoa's Finance organization, which includes Treasury, Controllership, Pension, Investor Relations, Tax, Audit and Financial Planning & Analysis. He also is responsible for the Global Business Service group, which provides IT, purchasing and Business Support Services globally. Chuck joined Alcoa in May 2000 as director of investor relations, following the company's acquisition of Reynolds Metals Company. Two years later, he was appointed vice president of Alcoa Business Support Services and Corporate Controller. He also had accountability for Alcoa's North American transactional service functions, including procurement, financial shared services, environment, health and safety services, human resources and corporate aircraft operations. With the combination of the Europe and North America support services organization, the North American regional function was eliminated in 2003. Chuck assumed the Pittsburgh location management role in addition to Controllership responsibilities in 2005. Prior to joining Alcoa, Chuck worked for Reynolds Metals for 27 years serving in a series of financial assignments, including division controller. In 1990, he was named director of finance and administration for Reynolds' Global Can business unit, then in 1995 he became assistant controller and in 1999 assistant treasurer. Born in Richmond, Virginia, on July 15, 1953, Chuck earned both a bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1978 and 1984, respectively. He attended an Executive Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business in 1988 and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. Chuck is a member of the Committee on Corporate Reporting of the Financial Executives Institute and is engaged in several charitable organizations. He and his wife, Betty, have two daughters.

William F. (Bill) Christopher is responsible for Alcoa's global efforts in the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, and building and construction areas. He was named group president for Alcoa's aerospace and commercial transportation groups in 2002 and assumed additional responsibility for automotive a year later. In July 2006, Bill added Alcoa's building and construction business to his portfolio and renamed the Group business Engineered Products and Solutions to reflect the breadth of his organization. Today, Engineered Products and Solutions is composed of Alcoa Industrial Components and Forged Products, Alcoa Fastening Systems, Alcoa Wheel Products, AFL Automotive, Auto & Truck Structures, and the Alcoa Building and Construction Systems businesses. Bill also led the corporate customer and marketing initiatives for growth until early 2006. Bill is a member of Alcoa's Executive Council, the senior leadership group that provides strategic direction for the company, and he is the director of Alcoa's Global Aerospace Market Sector. Bill joined Alcoa in 1975 in the Finance organization in Pittsburgh following graduation from Penn State University with an accounting degree. He held a series of financial management positions in Massena (N.Y.), Davenport (Iowa) and in Tennessee until he was named sheet mill manager at Davenport in 1988. Three years later he became vice president, Commercial Products Sales and Marketing also based in Davenport. In 1996, Bill was named president of Alcoa Forged Products based in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2001 he assumed responsibility for the global deployment of the Alcoa Business System, and the company's customer and quality initiatives. A year later, Bill took on additional responsibility for Alcoa's global aerospace and commercial transportation markets, subsequently adding automotive, and building and construction systems to his accountabilities. Bill was elected a vice president of Alcoa in 1999 and an executive vice president in 2001. Bill obtained an M.B.A. degree in 1980 from Clarkson University. He serves on the board of directors of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and serves on Mayor Jackson's Task Force for Economic Development.

Dan Smith became Alcoa Howmet's Vice President - Finance in 2002 after a similar role at Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products. His previous experience includes 22 years with Alcoa in various financial positions, including the Director of European Shared Services during the successful startup phase. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Jake Siewert joined Alcoa in October 2001 as vice president, global communications and public strategy responsible for overseeing and integrating the company's approach to the media, governments, local communities, and other stakeholders. In his new assignment, Jake is accountable for Alcoa's global environment, health and safety efforts in addition to continuing leadership of the company's communications and public strategy responsibilities. Prior to joining Alcoa, Jake served as the White House press secretary from 2000-2001, where he was principal spokesperson for U.S. President Bill Clinton's Administration on foreign and domestic policy. Earlier, he was special assistant to the President for Economic Affairs for the National Economic Council at the White House. Jake began his communications career in 1991 in Washington, D.C., as communications director for the Democratic Governors' Association. He is a 1986 graduate of Yale University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in the Humanities. He also attended the law school of the University of California at Berkeley. He was born February 1, 1964 in New York City.

James B. Johnson currently serves as Alcoa Howmet's Vice President - Manufacturing. Mr. Johnson has held numerous positions since joining Alcoa Howmet's Dover facility in 1978, including Quality Assurance Manager, Operations Manager, Business Center Manager, General Manager, and Vice President - Support Operations. Following Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees, Mr. Johnson has continued his professional education through the completion of the University of Tennessee Executive Development Program. He is currently a member of the YMCA Board of Directors and the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.

James Tedesco is Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Partner of Sencorp, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience with thermoforming, heat sealing and packaging equipment. Jim is responsible for sales and marketing of thermoforming equipment, laboratory sealers, shuttle tray sealers and automated packaging systems for the medical industry as well as the retail industry. Past experience includes VP of Sales of Crystal Thermoplastics (now Alcoa), designing and producing of thermoformed parts to the medical industry. He is currently a member of SPE, PMMI, Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) and Director on the board of the Association of Visual Packaging Manufacturers. Jim was awarded a B.S. in Marketing from Suffolk University.

John Corrigan began his career with Howmet in 1967 and is currently the Vice President for Technology, Engineering, and Research. He has held various metallurgy and engineering positions in the company, and has served as general manager at Howmet's Hampton operations. He has served the company as vice president since 1984. Mr. Corrigan completed his educational training at Manchester College of Science and Technology in England. He holds several patents for investment castings and is a member of the Institute of Materials, ASM, and the American Welding Society.

Michael A. Pepper began his career with Howmet in 1987 and is currently Vice President and General Manager - Howmet Products and Services. Prior to this appointment he served as General Manager of the company's Whitehall Casting operation, Laval Casting operation, and Exeter Casting operation. Mr. Pepper previously held a series of engineering, manufacturing, and management positions at the Wichita Falls Casting operation. Mr. Pepper is a graduate of Midwestern State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He has successfully completed the University of Tennessee's Executive Development Program and has been recognized with Midwestern State University's Distinguished Alumni Award.

Jean A. Bailey is director of communications for the Alcoa Power and Propulsion business, where she leads and develops integrated internal and external communications programs that support corporate, business unit and operational strategies. She joined Alcoa in October 2005 and her responsibilities include employee communications, community relations, advertising, public relations, and branding throughout the organization's 27 worldwide locations and communities. She will also provide oversight and guidance to marketing communications. Prior to joining Alcoa, Bailey served as vice president, global communications, at Diebold, Inc., North Canton, Ohio, responsible for corporate internal and external programs. Previously, she was director of corporate employee communications at TRW Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio; and manager of international public relations and internal communications, Continental-General Tire in Akron, Ohio. A native of Akron, Bailey is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators. She earned a bachelor's degree in technical education from The University of Akron.

J. Wayne Reynolds became a board member in 1975 while working for the Reynolds Metal Company at the Jones Mill Plant. He currently works as the Plant Controller for Alcoa in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

Dinesh Seksaria P.E. is a Senior Technical Consultant in Alcoa's Automotive Business Unit. He has more than 35 years experience in development of automotive products and has more than 20 patents in the field published several papers in SAE and in industry publications. His current activities include developing automotive body and suspension related products using aluminum sheet and other product forms.

Mr. Rateau is the Vice President of Business Development and Energy Management & Services of Alcoa Primary Metals, Energy Division and has been at Alcoa Primary Metals since 1996. Before that, Mr. Rateau held a number of managerial positions with National Steel Corporation from 1981 to 1996. He brings expertise in business acquisitions and divestitures, capital budgets and project management, and applied research of complex technology and processes. Mr. Rateau holds an M.B.A. from Michigan State University and received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University.

Miriam Lyons-Stanborough started with Alcoa over 2 years ago as a Chemical Engineer. Since then, she has been promoted to Calcination Area Supervisor at Pinjarra Refinery, and has also been rewarded with a number of awards from Government and Industry organisations.

Mr. Bertels has held various technical, project management and management positions in the maritime industry before founding the SEIS Group in 1999 with Brian Mullins. Todd has lead projects and worked with such companies as Maersk, APL, US SeaLaunch, Alcoa, Pepsi Bottling Group and Coca Cola Bottling. He has modified, relocated, maintained and repaired container handling equipment and ship board power and control systems. Mr. Bertels is a United States Coast Guard licensed marine engineer and holds a bachelor of science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point New York. Todd is also a reserve officer in the US Navy.

From 1979 to 1994, he was President of Alcoa Alumínio S.A in Brazil, Alcoa's Brazilian subsidiary. Other directorships: Citigroup Inc. and International Business Machines Corp.

Carlos Ghosn is the president and chief executive officer of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., a global automotive company with 180,000 employees and $83 billion in revenue. Mr. Ghosn joined the company as its chief operating officer in June 1999, became its president in June 2000 and was named chief executive officer in June 2001. In May 2005, Mr. Ghosn was named president and chief executive officer of Renault S.A. in addition to his current responsibilities at Nissan. As head of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, Mr. Ghosn is responsible for two separate companies with combined annual global sales of 6.1 million vehicles. Prior to joining Nissan, Mr. Ghosn served as executive vice president of the Renault Group, a position he had held since December 1996. In addition to supervising Renault activities in the Mercosur, he was responsible for advanced research, car engineering and development, car manufacturing, powertrain operations and purchasing. Before he joined Renault, Mr. Ghosn had worked with Michelin for 18 years. As chairman and chief executive officer of Michelin North America, Mr. Ghosn presided over the restructuring of the company after its acquisition of the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company in 1990. Previously, Mr. Ghosn had worked as the chief operating officer of Michelin's South American activities based in Brazil; as head of research and development for industrial tires in Ladoux, France; and as plant manager in Le Puy, France. Mr. Ghosn currently serves on the board of directors of Alcoa. Mr. Ghosn was born in Brazil on March 9, 1954. He graduated with engineering degrees from École Polytechnique in 1974 and from École des Mines de Paris in 1978. He and his wife, Rita, have four children.

Mr. O’Neal served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. until October 2007. He became Chief Executive of Merrill Lynch in 2002 and was elected Chairman of the Board in 2003. Mr. O’Neal was employed with Merrill Lynch for 21 years, serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from July 2001 to December 2002; President of U.S. Private Client from February 2000 July 2001; Chief Financial Officer from 1998 to 2000; and Executive Vice President and Co-head of Global Markets and Investment Banking from 1997 to 1998. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. O’Neal was employed at General Motors Corporation where he held a number of financial positions of increasing responsibility.

Mr. Thomas was President and Chief Executive Officer of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, a nonprofit community development corporation, from 1967 to 1977. Prior to that he served as Deputy Policy Commissioner for the New York City Police Department and was named Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Jim Owens is chairman and chief executive officer of Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Ill. After joining the company in 1972 as a corporate economist, he has held numerous management positions. Owens was named chief economist of Caterpillar Overseas S.A. in Geneva, Switzerland in 1975. From 1980 until 1987 he held managerial positions in Peoria in the Accounting and Product Source Planning Departments. In 1987, Owens became managing director of P.T. Natra Raya, Caterpillar's joint venture in Indonesia. He held that position until 1990 when he was elected a corporate vice president and named president of Solar Turbines Incorporated, a Caterpillar subsidiary in San Diego. In 1993 he came to Peoria as vice president and chief financial officer with administrative responsibility for the Corporate Services Division.

Judith M. Gueron is a Scholar in Residence and President Emerita at MDRC, a nonprofit, nonpartisan social policy research organization. Dr. Gueron joined MDRC (formerly called the Manpower Demonstration Research Corporation) as research director at its founding in 1974 and served as its president from 1986 through August 2004. Under her leadership, MDRC became one of America's most prominent policy research organizations, with a mission to design and evaluate education, employment, and social welfare programs aimed at improving the well-being of low-income Americans and to enhance the effectiveness of policy and practice. At MDRC, Dr. Gueron directed many of the largest federal and state evaluations ever undertaken of interventions for low-income adults, youth, and families and was a pioneer in developing research methods that have made it possible to base social programs on rigorous evidence of effectiveness. As president, she also guided the organization's expansion into such areas as supports for the working poor, education reforms, child development, and community-based initiatives. A widely published, nationally recognized expert on employment and training, poverty, and family assistance, Dr. Gueron is the author of From Welfare to Work. She is past president of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, has served on several National Academy of Sciences committees and federal advisory panels, and has frequently testified before Congress. In 1988, Dr. Gueron was awarded the American Evaluation Association's Myrdal Prize for Evaluation Practice in recognition of high-quality studies of employment issues. That same year, she became a member of the Board of Directors of Alcoa and is currently also on the Board of Directors of the National Bureau of Economic Research. In 2004-05, Dr. Gueron was a Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation. In 2005, she received the inaugural Richard E. Neustadt award from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Dr. Gueron received her B.A. Summa Cum Laude from Radcliffe College in 1963 and her Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1971. She and her husband, Henri, live in New York City. They have two daughters.

Recent business experience: Ms. Fuller retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of the World Wildlife Fund U.S. (WWF), one of the world's largest nature conservation organizations, in July 2005, after having served in those positions since 1989. Ms. Fuller continues her affiliation with WWF as a member of the Advisory Council of WWF. Ms. Fuller was a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, a nonpartisan institute established by Congress for advanced study of national and world affairs, for a year beginning in October 2005. Ms. Fuller had various responsibilities within WWF and The Conservation Foundation from 1982 to 1989, including executive vice president, general counsel and director of WWF's public policy and wildlife trade monitoring programs. Ms. Fuller held several positions in the U.S. Department of Justice, culminating as Chief, Wildlife and Marine Resources Section, in 1981 and 1982.

Joseph C. Muscari is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI). The Board of Directors elected him to this position in 2007. Before joining MTI, Mr. Muscari was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Alcoa Inc. from 2005 to 2007; Group President—Rigid Packaging, Foil & Asia from 2004 to 2005; Executive Vice President and Group President, Asia & Latin America from 2001 to 2004; and Vice President Environment, Health, Safety, Audit and Compliance from 1997 to 2001 of Alcoa Inc. He was also a Director of Aluminum Corporation of China Limited since June 2002. Mr. Muscari has served as Director of Minerals Technologies Inc. since January 2005.
