Dr. Lansford is the Chief Technology Officer of Alereon. He has more than 25 years of experience in communications system analysis and design, as well as digital signal processing. In addition to developing advanced technologies and architectures for future UWB systems, he is heavily involved in a number of standards, trade groups and regulatory activities. Dr. Lansford was co-chair of the recently disbanded IEEE 802.15.3a High Rate WPAN Task Group, and was formerly the chair of the IEEE 802.19 Wireless Coexistence Technical Advisory Group. He was also a significant contributor to both the IEEE 802.15.2 and 802.11g regulatory groups. In his role at Alereon, Dr. Lansford is involved in business development activities with strategic partners and key customers. Prior to Alereon, Dr. Lansford was CTO of Mobilian Corporation, where he promoted Mobilian's multi-standard radio technology featuring advanced interference management techniques. Prior to Mobilian, Dr. Lansford was a wireless systems architect with Intel Corporation, and was the co-chairman of the technical committee for the HomeRF Industry Working Group, a wireless technology industry consortium of over 100 companies. In addition to his experience with Alereon and two previous startups, Dr. Lansford has served on the teaching and/or research faculty of Georgia Tech, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Lansford earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1988, his M.S. in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1982, and his B.S. in electrical engineering with highest honors from Auburn University in 1980.

Dr. Shoemaker is the vice president of engineering and operations for Alereon, overseeing the company's engineering efforts as well as manufacturing operations. He has more than a decade of industry expertise designing RF, analog, and ASIC solutions, as well as developing software and system designs.

Jim Meyer is the vice president of sales and business development for Alereon. He is responsible for identifying, building and managing strategic alliances to advance Alereon's business development efforts in emerging markets. Prior to joining Alereon, Meyer served as vice president of business development for Time Domain Corporation, where he was responsible for the company's pursuit of key opportunities in the entertainment-networking market. He also played a vital role in identifying wireless networking opportunities and establishing partnerships in the small office/home office environment. Before joining Time Domain Corporation, Meyer spent six years launching PC product lines for GCH Systems, Trigem Corporation and Hyndai Electronics America. He also served as vice president of marketing and business development for BroadLogic Network Technologies/Adaptec Inc., where he initiated the company's participation in the satellite-networking marketplace. Meyer holds an MBA from San Francisco State University and a B.S. in business administration from San Jose State University.

Kumar Ganapathy is an Executive in Residence at Artiman Ventures. Previously, he was the Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of VxTel, developer of VoIP DSP processors and subsystems, which was acquired by Intel in 2001. At Intel, he was a Director of Architecture and Engineering in Ultrawideband Networking Operation (UWB) and Edge Access Division (VoIP, 3G BTS) as well as in the CTO office of the Intel Communication Group. Before co-founding VxTel, he was Principal Engineer and Fellow of Conexant and Rockwell Semiconductor leading the development of 56-kbit modems and GSM phones.
