Leonard Bell, M.D. is the principal founder of Alexion, and has been a director of Alexion since February 1992 and the Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, Secretary and Treasurer from January 1992. In April 2002, the title of President was transferred to David Keiser. From 1991 to 1992, Dr. Bell was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology and co-Director of the program in Vascular Biology at the Yale University School of Medicine. Russell P. Rother, Ph.D. currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer at Alexion. "David Hallal is Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Americas for Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Ruedi E. Waeger, Ph.D. has been a director of Alexion since March 2005. Dr. Waeger has spent the past 30 years in the pharmaceutical and therapeutic protein industry.
