The ALK-Abello Group was established over 75 years ago with the mission of building a leadership position in the development, production and distribution of high quality Allergenic Extracts. In 1993, ALK merged with the Abello companies to form ALK-Abello, the world's largest allergen extract company. Currently, ALK-Abello is present in more than 20 countries worldwide. This strong global network provides synergies in research, product development and marketing that continues to lead to better products for the allergic patient. For the past two decades, ALK-Abello has dedicated its basic scientific work to the characterization of allergenic molecules and their epitopes. The result of this work has given rise to a line of SQ (Standardized Quality) products that features well-characterized and standardized allergenic extracts for allergy diagnosis and treatment. These extracts undergo extensive testing methods to assure the presence of essential allergens, quantification of major allergens and measurement of total biological activity. ALK-Abello is committed to the effective diagnosis and cure of allergic diseases. Each year, approximately 20% of revenues are invested in research and development within the areas of allergy, immunology and allergen technology.
