Responsible for a private client team, James manages professional advice and structure administration for AIB's clients. A law graduate, James also qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 and his professional career embraces a wealth of multi-jurisdictional knowledge.
CTO of PaceMetrics, David has in excess of 15 years experience in architecting financial software whilst working for companies such as CSK Software, Quay Financial Software, Videsti and AIB Group. David has a Masters in Expert Systems Engineering.
James joined AIB in August 2007 and his appointment has enabled him to bring all his expertise to the trust company, as well as his energy and commitment to growing the business. He has worked for a number of leading financial companies and one of the highlights of his impressive career followed his appointment as CEO of Jersey General in 1996, the holding company for financial services group Ashburton. Jersey General became part of Rand Merchant Bank of South Africa , which later merged to become the First Rand Group, and James was made CEO of the entire private wealth international management operation - First Rand International Asset Management, which became headquartered in Jersey . He was also appointed CEO of Ansbacher CI, owned by the group, with private banking, fiduciary, asset management and funds operations under his control. James spent nearly a decade with the company, moving from predominantly investment and trust work into multi-focused private banking, as well as being involved in large group acquisitions and disposals. He has extensive South African connections and experience with the growing Middle East market. He has also co-authored a private banking thesis on Asia Pacific business from a fiduciary standpoint. His dynamic leadership, coupled with over 30 years experience of working across the financial services spectrum, is helping to develop a solid and well-respected trust company into one of the best providers of quality niche fiduciary services in the offshore industry. As a director on the board of AIB Bank (CI) Limited, which owns the trust company AIBJerseytrust Limited, he is also involved in the general expansion of AIB's offshore business as a whole.
