Barry Greene is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Barry joined Alnylam in September 2003, bringing over 15 years of experience in healthcare industries and consulting. Prior to Alnylam, he was General Manager of Oncology at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he led the company's global strategy and execution for its oncology business including strategic business direction and execution, culminating in the successful approval and launch of VELCADE (bortezomib) in mid 2003. Prior to joining Millennium in February 2001, Mr. Greene served as Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer for Mediconsult.com. Prior to Mediconsult.com, Mr. Greene's past experiences include Vice president of Marketing and Customer Services for AstraZeneca formerly AstraMerck; Vice President Strategic Integration with responsibility for the AstraZeneca North American post merger integration; and Partner, Andersen Consulting responsible for the pharmaceutical/biotechnology marketing and sales practice. Mr. Greene received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Pittsburgh and serves as a Senior Scholar at Duke University, Fuqua School of Business.
Before joining Alnylam, Dr. "Jack" Schmidt was Vice President and U.S. member of the Sanofi-aventis Global Discovery Leadership Team where he was also responsible for initiatives in biotherapeutics, external innovation, and discovery initiatives in China. At legacy Aventis, he was Vice President and Head of the Respiratory and Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Group where he worked closely with Aventis colleagues and collaboration partners at Millennium and Coley to advance more than 15 NCEs into pre-clinical development. Dr. Schmidt had previously risen to the rank of Senior Director of Immunology and Rheumatology at Merck Research Laboratories where his group conducted fundamental work on Interleukin 1 beta, especially its cognate processing enzyme, caspase 1. Dr. Schmidt received his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia before completing his M.D., internship, and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Immunology and the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda. He is author or co-author of more than sixty scientific papers, book chapters, or meeting proceedings.

Dr. Vaishnaw comes to Alnylam from Biogen, Inc. (now Biogen Idec Inc.), where he was most recently Senior Director, Translational Medicine. In his seven years at Biogen he was involved in many aspects of clinical research and business development, and led the effort for the approval of alefacept (Amevive ) for psoriasis. Dr. Vaishnaw received his M.D. from the University of Wales College of Medicine, U.K., with Distinctions in Pathology and Medicine, and his Ph.D. from the University of London, U.K., in Molecular Immunology. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, U.K., and received an Executive M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In addition, Dr. Vaishnaw has published papers in leading scientific journals and authored a number of textbook chapters relating to autoimmune disease.

Dr. Kotelianski joined Alnylam in April 2003 as Vice President, Research and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Distinguished Alnylam Fellow in August 2008. Dr. Kotelianski was formerly Distinguished Investigator, Director of Biological Research at Biogen, Inc. (now BiogenIdec Inc.), where he worked since 1994. At Biogen, he played a leadership role in the development of the company's pre-clinical pipeline. In his prior experience, he served as Director of Research, Institut National de la Sante et de la Reserche Medicale (INSERM) in Paris, France. Dr. Kotelianski received his Doctor of Science degree from the National Cardiology Research Center, Academy of Medical Science in Moscow, and then went on to serve as the institute's Professor of Cell Biology. He was senior scientist at the Institute of Protein Research, National Academy of Science in Poustchino (Moscow Region). Dr. Kotelianski received his Ph.D. in molecular biology from National Academy of Sciences in Moscow and his M.D. from Uzhgorod University Medical School; he is also an author on over 150 publications.
David Konys joined Alnylam in April 2003. He was formerly Vice President of Corporate Development at Ingenium Pharmaceuticals AG, and prior to that, had over 15 years of experience at Biogen, Inc., where he was the 1995 recipient of the Chairman's Award. During his career, Mr. Konys has been responsible for a wide array of activities related to the building and expansion of growing biotech companies, including intellectual property management, facilities expansion, marketing, and licensing.
Dr. Sah joined Alnylam in April of 2005 as Senior Director, Research, after having served as Associate Director, Research, at BiogenIdec, Inc., where she led neurobiology research since 1999. At Alnylam, she established and helped build the CNS and Oncology efforts, including ALN-VSP, and leads the Huntington’s program in collaboration with Medtronic, as well as the JCV Program in collaboration with BiogenIdec, Inc.. While at BiogenIdec, Dr. Sah led research efforts in neuroscience and strategic planning for the neurobiology focus area, and was project leader of several research programs, including pain and spinal cord injury. From 1993 to 1999, Dr. Sah was a Scientist and then Associate Director of Neurobiology at Signal Pharmaceuticals in San Diego where she was project leader for neuroscience collaborations with Roche and Nippon Kayaku. She completed her post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School and received her Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Harvard University.
Mr. Rhodes brings broad business and financial expertise to Alnylam. During his 16 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, he has played central roles in numerous partnering and investment transactions. He has also worked on commercial projects including the launch of the blockbuster oncology drug Taxotere(R) and the design and restructuring of Wyeth's sales force. He joins Alnylam from Fidelity Biosciences, the biotech venture capital arm of Fidelity Investments, where he was a partner and a founder of the group. While there, he had an active role in building a number of private biopharmaceutical companies, including Microbia, FoldRx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Mersana Therapeutics, Inc., and Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.A. from Yale University.

Dr. Manoharan was the former Executive Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading biotechnology company focused on nucleic acid-based therapeutics where he had a 12-year tenure. With a distinguished career as a world-leading nucleic acid and bioconjugate chemist, Dr. Manoharan is the author of over 100 publications and over 100 abstracts, as well as the inventor on 57 issued U.S. patents. Prior to Isis Pharmaceuticals, he earned his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and conducted post-doctoral work at Yale University and the University of Maryland.
Patrick Allen is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Rockwell Collins. Additionally, he is a corporate officer of Rockwell Collins. Allen leads Rockwell Collins' finance activities and is responsible for all financial and business systems, including treasury, audit, tax and central support to the business units and functional teams.
Previously Allen held the position of vice president and controller of the company's Commercial Systems business. Allen joined Rockwell Collins in 2001 as vice president of Finance and treasurer. Prior to joining Rockwell Collins he served in various roles at Rockwell International, including vice president and treasurer, vice president of Financial Planning and assistant controller. He also worked six years as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and is a certified public accountant.
Allen is a member of the Board of Directors for Waypoint Services, a local Cedar Rapids charity. He is a member of Financial Executives International and the MAPI CFO Council.

Dr. Pollard brings broad scientific and business expertise to Alnylam. Prior to joining, he was employed by Maxygen, Inc. for eight years where he held positions of increasing responsibility across both scientific and business development initiatives, culminating in his most recent role as Chief Scientific Officer. Before Maxygen, Dr. Pollard worked at Biogen Idec for 10 years, during which time he held positions in both the R&D and business development organizations. Dr. Pollard earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from the University of Reading in the U.K., and completed his post-doctoral work in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Harvard University.
Ms. High joined Alnylam in February 2006 as Senior Director, Business Planning and Program Management. Ms. High joined Alnylam from Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where she most recently was Director of Corporate Strategy and prior to that, Director of Business Operations. From 1996 to 2001, Ms. High held a leadership role as management consultant with Accenture in their Strategy Pharmaceutical Practice. Ms. High has more than 15 years of operations, strategic and financial management experience, locally and internationally. She holds a degree in Economics and Business from Universita' Bocconi, Milan, Italy, and a Masters in Business Administration from MIT.

Tony de Fougerolles joined Alnylam in 2003 as Director of Research, and in January 2006 was promoted to Senior Director. Prior to joining Alnylam, Dr. de Fougerolles served as a Principal Scientist at Biogen, where he worked since 1998. At Biogen, he worked on several immunology/inflammation-based programs and led research teams working on developing therapeutics against alpha1beta1 collagen receptor (VLA-1), novel B7 costimulatory molecules, and monocyte-derived chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP1). Dr. de Fougerolles earned his Ph.D. in Immunology from Harvard University, and was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, England.
Jo-Dee has over 20 years of experience in the design and implementation of integrated compensation strategies including the assessment and development of executive total compensation plans, sales and management incentive plans, equity-based pay programs and market/competency based salary systems. Jo-Dee is highly experienced in developing competency models used in performance management, selection, workforce planning and compensation programs. She also has extensive experience in the development and communication of employee benefit programs and implementation of HRM Systems. Jo-Dee is a specialist in the biopharmaceutical industry having worked with companies across the full range of sizes and product stages such as Genzyme, Biogen Idec, Antigenics, Hypnion, and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. She also has in-depth experience in the financial services, retail and high technology industries, and in working with companies to implement acquisitions and mergers. Jo-Dee has been actively involved with steering committees for key national and regional surveys. She has made numerous professional presentations, particularly on the design of incentives and broad-based stock plans. Jo-Dee was a recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the WorldatWork in 1997. She has degrees from Mount Holyoke College and Harvard University.
Vicki L. Sato, Ph.D., Lead Outside Director and Chair of Infinity's Compensation Committee, is currently a professor at Harvard University. From 1992 - 2005, Dr. Sato held various positions with Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a publicly traded pharmaceutical company, most recently serving as President from 2000 - 2005. Prior to joining Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from 1984 - 1992, Dr. Sato held various positions with Biogen, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company, most recently serving as Vice President of Research and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board. Since 1993, Dr. Sato has served on the Board of Tutors, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Harvard University, and also served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Harvard University from 1975 - 1983. Dr. Sato is a business advisor to Atlas Ventures, a venture capital firm, and other enterprises in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Sato serves as an overseer of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and is a trustee of Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theatre. Dr. Sato serves as a director of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc., publicly traded biopharmaceutical companies, Perkin-Elmer, Inc., a diversified company with businesses in the life and analytical sciences and optoelectronics, and Avila Therapeutics, a private biotechnology company. Dr. Sato received an A.B. in Biology from Radcliffe College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University.
