Michael Lee, was appointed to the Corporation's board of directors in August of 1997, and currently serves as our President, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Lee has over 15 years of business experience in the areas of high tech development, marketing and corporate finance. Mr. Lee holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. Schwarz is the chief scientist at AlphaRx and has extensive experience in the research and development of controlled release drug delivery systems. His areas of expertise cover controlled delivery of drugs, colloidal and microcorpusculate drug delivery systems, submicron emulsions (SME), transdermal delivery (topical and systemic).

Dr. Weisspapir has extensive and successful experience in interdisciplinary research and development in experimental pharmacology, immunopharmacology, toxicology, neuroscience, cancer research, radiobiology and radiotoxicology.

Jeremy Siegel, currently the Russell E. Palmer Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, has written and lectured extensively about the economy and financial markets.

A recognized authority in microbiology and infectious diseases, Dr. Low has published more than 170 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for several organizations including the Medical Research Council, Health and Welfare Canada, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of American Medical Association, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. He is also an Associate Editor of the Canadian Journal of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Low is Head of the Department of Microbiology at the Toronto Medical Laboratories and Mount Sinai Hospital, a diagnostic laboratory serving 10 hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area. He is a Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology and Department of Medicine. He is currently Head of the Division of Microbiology in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.

Michael S. Berlin, M.D., founder and director of the Glaucoma Institute-Beverly Hills, is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser surgery and in the research and treatment of glaucoma. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Berlin received his Bachelor of Sciences degree Cum Laude from the University of Michigan. During his residency training at the University of Michigan, he received a Master of Sciences degree in Ophthalmology. He completed specialty glaucoma fellowship training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, where he also served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Berlin is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He has researched and published numerous books and articles on glaucoma and laser surgery, and is regularly invited to lecture at professional conferences, both in the United States and internationally.
