Ron Zwanziger has been a director since November 2006. Mr. Zwanziger has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc. since 2001. From 1992 to 2001, he served in the same capacity at Inverness Medical Technology, Inc., a consumer focused company he founded that developed proprietary technologies and manufacturing processes. From 1981 to 1991, Mr. Zwanziger was Chairman, CEO and Founder of Medisense, Inc. Mr. Zwanziger received his undergraduate degree from Imperial College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
David Arkowitz joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in April 2007. Mr. Arkowitz is responsible for the Company's finance, treasury, business development, human resources, information technology and corporate communications functions and has over 18 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry experience. Before joining AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Arkowitz served from 2003 to 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he helped lead the company's successful initial public offering and played an integral role in the establishment of essential infrastructure and business processes to support the company's growth and commercialization of its first product. From 1990 to 2003, Mr. Arkowitz worked at Merck & Co., Inc., where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President and Controller for Merck's U.S. Human Health Division, Controller for the Merck Research Laboratories and Vice President, Finance and Business Development for Merck's Canadian subsidiary. Mr. Arkowitz serves as a member of the board of directors of Aegerion Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Arkowitz received an MBA from Columbia University and a B.A. in Mathematics from Brandeis University.
Dr. Lee F. Allen joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in August 2007. Dr. Allen is responsible for the Company's clinical development, medical affairs and regulatory activities and will also lead the continued advancement of the Company's drug and imaging development strategies. Prior to joining AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Allen was at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he was Site Head for Wyeth's Cambridge R&D facility, Vice President of Clinical Research and Development, and the head of the Oncology therapeutic area. Before joining Wyeth, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer and BASF's Knoll Pharmaceutical Company. Prior to entering the pharmaceutical industry in 1997, he was a faculty member at Duke University Medical Center and at the University of Utah's Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Allen received his PhD and subsequently his MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His work has been published in several scientific journals including the Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature and Science.

Mr. Farmer joined the Company as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs in 2005. He has substantial expertise in the areas of corporate and securities law and has represented numerous public and private companies in a variety of industries, including high technology, healthcare, manufacturing, life sciences and private equity. He has extensive experience counseling companies on general corporate law matters, complex financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate governance, and technology protection and transfer. Mr. Farmer currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Farmer was an associate in the business practice group of Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, LLP in Boston from 1997 to 2005. Mr. Farmer received his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Boston University and his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School.

Dr. Brenner joined the company in September of 2006 as Senior Vice President. Dr. Brenner is responsible for all aspects of the ferumoxytol program, including preparation and support of the New Drug Application for ferumoxytol as an intravenous iron replacement therapeutic for the treatment of anemia in dialysis?dependent and non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease patients along with the planning and execution of subsequent indications for ferumoxytol. Additionally, Dr. Brenner leads the Program Management Department at AMAG Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining AMAG, Dr. Brenner worked as Senior Director of Business Development for the Renal and Transplantation Units at Genzyme Corporation. Dr. Brenner received a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Yale University; a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University and a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Dr. Brenner is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and cares for patients with chronic kidney disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Robert M. Brenner, MD joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in May 2008. Dr. Brenner is responsible for the Company's medical affairs and nephrology clinical development activities. Prior to joining AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Brenner was at Amgen for nine years where he served in a variety of nephrology leadership roles both in clinical development and medical affairs. During his career at Amgen, Dr. Brenner contributed to the approval of new products, led the design of clinical trials, and was a key liaison to the nephrology community, professional societies and regulatory agencies. Dr. Brenner received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his medical residency in internal medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and his fellowship in nephrology at Stanford University Medical Center.

Mr. Healey joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals in December 2006. Mr. Healey is responsible for developing and executing the launch and commercialization strategy for all of the company's products and product candidates.
Before joining AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Healey was Executive Director, CNS Marketing at Sepracor Inc. At Sepracor, Mr. Healey was responsible for the commercial launch of Lunesta®, one of the most successful pharmaceutical launches in U.S. history. The team led by Mr. Healey won numerous marketing awards, including “Marketing Team of the Year” by Medical Marketing and Media in January of 2006. Mr. Healey was also recognized as a “2006 Marketer of the Year&rd by Brandweek Magazine in October of 2006.
Mr. Healey received a B.S. from Boston College, and an MBA from Babson College.
Lisa Gordon joined BG Medicine in November 2006 as Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy. Prior to joining BG Medicine she served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy since 2004 at Advanced Magnetics, Inc. a biopharmaceutical company developing superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles used in pharmaceutical products for use in therapeutic iron compounds to treat anemia, as well as novel imaging agents to aid in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Ms. Gordon served in several additional positions at Advanced Magnetics over a six-year period including Director of Business Development and Investor Relations and Director of Corporate Strategy. In addition Ms. Gordon has held various business development, operations management and investor relations positions at Surface Logix, Inc.; Kalisto Biologicals; Feinstein Partners, Inc.; and Videoton Holding, RT in Hungary. She is a graduate of Haverford College and received a Master of Science in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Davey S. Scoon has served as a member of our board of directors since November 2003. Mr. Scoon serves as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tufts Health Plan, where he has been a director since 1981. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine and on the board of trustees with Allianz Mutual Funds. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Scoon was Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of Tom s of Maine, a company that manufactures natural care products. Dr. Bonventre is a Professor of Molecular Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, and Master of the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology Society at Harvard Medical School. Joe will bring crucial guidance to Actuality's application of 3D display technology to medical imaging for clinical and educational use. Dr. Bonventre is past President of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island chapter of the National Kidney Foundation, is Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee of the National Kidney Foundation, and is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation. He is a member of the NIH General Medicine B Study Section. He won a Young Investigator Award of the NIH and the Presidential Award of the Microbeam Society and has been elected to several prestigious societies including the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians. He is a Board member of both the National Space Biology Research Institute and the Center for Engineering in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bonventre is on a Board of Advisors of the Norwegian Institute for Science and Technology, is a founder and is on the Board of Directors of PatientKeeper, Inc. , is on the Scientific Advisory Boards of GelTex Pharmaceutical Company , Advanced Medicine Inc. , and SamTex Corp., and is a member of the Physician Advisory Board of Genzyme, Inc. Specializing in kidney disease research, Dr. Bonventre has established models of ischemic acute renal failure, toxic nephropathy, and glomerular injury. He has over 120 publications and 46 invited chapters and reviews, and is the author or editor of three books. Dr. Bonventre holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics (Cornell) and an M.D. and Ph.D. in Biophysics (Harvard). He completed Internal Medicine and Nephrology clinical training at the MGH and is Board Certified in both.

Mr. Skaletsky has been a director of Alkermes since June 2004. He is currently Chairman, CEO and President of Trine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Previously, Mr. Skaletsky was President and CEO of GelTex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. which was acquired by Genzyme in December 2000. Mr. Skaletsky held the position of Chairman and CEO of Enzytech, Inc., from 1988 to 1993, and he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Biogen, Inc., from 1981 to 1988. Mr. Skaletsky was among the founders of the Industrial Biotechnology Association, a predecessor to the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), and is a former chairman of BIO. Joseph V. Bonventre, M.D., Ph.D. has been a director since February 2008.
Dr. Bonventre has been the Director of the Renal Division of the Brigham and Women's Hospital since 2002, and has been the Robert H. Ebert Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Health Sciences and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the past ten years. He has also been elected to the American Society of Clinical Investigation, the Association of American Physicians and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, and is a member of the Council of the American Society of Nephrology.
Dr. Bonventre became the Chair of the Kidney Group of the Harvard Stem Cell Initiative in 2004 and the co-chair of the Stem Cell, Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering Center of the Brigham and Women's Hospital Research Institute in 2005 and co-chair of the Technology in Medicine initiative at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2007. Dr. Bonventre has also been a charter member of the Board of Directors of the National Space Biology Research Institute and the Board of Advisors of the Dean of the School of Engineering at Cornell University for the past ten and five years, respectively.
He also co-founded Patientkeeper Inc., a provider of integrated physician information systems, during the 1990s and Pacific Biosciences, Inc., a private biotechnology company, in 2002, and has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of a number of biotechnology companies.
Dr. Bonventre holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Cornell University and an M.D. and Ph.D. in Biophysics from Harvard University.
