Tom A. Alberg, age 69, has been a director of the Company since June 1996. Mr. Alberg has been a managing director of Madrona Venture Group, LLC, a venture capital firm, since September 1999, and a principal in Madrona Investment Group, LLC, a private investment firm, since January 1996. Mr. Alberg is also a director of several private companies. Committee Membership -- Mr. Alberg is the Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Piacentini has served as Senior Vice President, International Retail, since January 2007. From November 2001 until December 2006 , Mr. Piacentini served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Retail and Marketing and, from February 2000 until November 2001, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, International. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Piacentini was vice president and general manager of Apple Computer Europe, where he headed operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Piacentini joined Apple Computer in 1987. He held several financial management positions both in Apple Italy and at a European level through 1993. Piacentini served as sales director for Apple Italy in 1994 and was promoted to the post of general manager for Apple Italy in May 1995. Piacentini holds a degree in economics from Bocconi University of Milan. An Italian national, he has traveled and worked across Europe, Asia and North America.

Mr. Blackburn has served as Senior Vice President, Business Development, since April 2006. From June 2004 to April 2006, he was Vice President, Business Development, from July 2003 to June 2004, he was Vice President, European Customer Service and from November 2002 to July 2003, he was Vice President, Operations Integration. Prior to joining Amazon.com in 1998, Mr. Blackburn was Assistant Vice President at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. He holds a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He and his wife live in Seattle, and enjoy skiing and other outdoor sports.

Michelle Wilson joined Amazon.com in March 1999 as Associate General Counsel for finance and mergers and acquisitions. In July 1999, Michelle was promoted to become Amazon.com’s Vice President and General Counsel, overseeing all legal and policy affairs. Michelle also serves as the Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Michelle worked at Perkins Coie LLP for eleven years. She became a partner in 1994, with a focus on representing internet companies in the areas of securities, corporate, and mergers and acquisitions. She holds a BA in Finance from the University of Washington, and a J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys playing with her young son and spending time with her husband.

Mr. Gunningham has served as Senior Vice President, Seller Services, since joining Amazon.com in March 2007. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Mr. Gunningham was President of First Data Utilities from August 2006 to February 2007, following First Data’s acquisition of Peace Software, Inc., where he was Chief Executive Officer from February 2004 to August 2006 and President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2002 to March 2003. From March 2003 to February 2004, he served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales, at Apple, Inc. Prior to April 2002, Mr. Gunningham held various positions at Oracle Corporation, including Senior Vice President, North American Industrial Sector and Latin America.

Mr. Kessel has served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Digital Media, since April 2006. From April 2004 to April 2006, he was Vice President, Digital and, from July 2002 to April 2004, he was Vice President, U.S. Books, Music, Video and DVD. Prior to joining Amazon.com in 1999, Mr. Kessel was a consultant to internet companies. Kessel received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Shelley Reynolds has served as Vice President, Worldwide Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer since April 2007. From February 2006 to April 2007, she was Vice President, Finance and Controller. Prior to joining Amazon.com, Ms. Reynolds was a partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP since 1998.

Patricia Q. Stonesifer, age 52, has been a director of the Company since February 1997. Ms. Stonesifer has served as Chair of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution since January 2009. Since September 2008, she has served as senior advisor to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where she was Chief Executive Officer from January 2006 to September 2008 and President and Co-chair from June 1997 to January 2006.

Thomas O. Ryder, 63, retired as Chairman of the Board of The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. in January 2007, a position he had held since January 1, 2006. Mr. Ryder was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer from April 1998 through December 31, 2005. Mr. Ryder was President, American Express Travel Related Services International, a division of American Express Company, which provides travel, financial and network services, from October 1995 to April 1998. In addition, he is a director of Amazon.com, Inc. Mr. Ryder has been a Director of the Company, and was a Trustee of the Trust since April 2001.

William B. Gordon, age 59, has been a director of the Company since April 2003. Mr. Gordon has been a partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, a venture capital firm, since June 2008. Mr. Gordon is a co-founder of Electronic Arts, Inc. and served as its Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer from March 1998 to May 2008.

Alain Monie President and Chief Operating Officer Alain Monié serves as president and chief operating officer of Ingram Micro Inc. Based in the company’s headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif., Monié is responsible for the overall operating performance of the company with particular emphasis on driving corporate policies, strategies and profitable growth initiatives. Monié was named president and chief operating officer of Ingram Micro Inc. in 2007. He joined Ingram Micro Inc. in February 2003 as executive vice president, bringing more than 28 years of international corporate experience to the company’s executive team. He became president of the company’s Asia-Pacific region in early 2004. In the three years under Monié’s leadership the region doubled in size after the acquisition of Tech Pacific, transforming from a break-even business in early 2004 to one of the company’s more profitable regions today. As a corporate executive for renowned international companies, Monié has played a leading role in building successful organizations throughout the world. He spent more than two years as president of the Latin American Division of Honeywell International, responsible for all countries from Mexico to Chile and the Caribbean. He joined Honeywell through the corporation’s merger with Allied Signal Inc., where he built a 17-year career on three continents, progressing from a regional sales manager to head of Asia-Pacific operations. Prior to joining Honeywell, Monié spent 12 years in Asia, leading Allied Signal’s expansion into China and enhancing its presence in India. He held general management positions with Sogitec Inc., a French aerospace simulation corporation, and was a controller for Renault, a French automotive firm. He began his career in Mexico City as a civil construction engineer. Monié was educated in France, earning an MBA from the Institut Supérieur des Affaires in Jouy en Josas. He received high honors in his Automation engineering studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Metiers. He is fluent in three languages.
