Rathindra DasGupta DasGupta was the chief scientist at SPX Corporation, CONTECH Division for many years. He received a Ph.D in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1978. Previously, he has held positions as a technical director at Amcast Industrial Corporation, and various professorships at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, the University of Wisconsin - Madison and China Steel Corporation, Kaoshiung, Taiwan. He has also received multiple awards and honors including the American Society of Metals Visiting Lecturer in 2000; Herman Doehler Award in 2000; Raymond D. Peters endowed professor in Materials Science from 1987 - 1990 and Inland Steel Ryerson Outstanding Undergraduate Teacher in 1985. Within the past year, DasGupta has accepted a position with the National Science Foundation, which has allowed him to further concentrate on the research of enhancing the die casting process.

Mr. Shuey, age 63, joined Amcast Industrial Corporation, a producer of aluminum wheels for the automotive industry and copper fittings for the construction industry, in 1991 as Executive Vice President. He was elected President and Chief Operating Officer in 1993, a director in 1994, Chief Executive Officer in 1995, and Chairman in 1997. Mr. Shuey served as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer through February, 2001. Mr. Shuey has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A. degree, both from the University of Michigan.
