Ken MacKenzie was appointed as Managing Director and CEO of Amcor in 2005. He has spent sixteen years with Amcor, with extensive experience across all of Amcor’s major packaging business segments in the Americas, Australia, Asia and Europe. Since taking on the role of CEO, Ken has implemented a company turnaround program named The Way Forward. This is an aggressive get-fit program for the company with an objective for all Amcor businesses to have strong positions in their markets. Those businesses in weak positions are being fixed, sold or closed. The program is also driving accelerated growth initiatives in attractive market segments from both a product and geographic perspective. Two years into ‘The Way Forward’ program, the turnaround is happening, with Amcor’s businesses better positioned, the company has a strong balance sheet, strong growth opportunities and a clear focus on improvement.
