American Cancer Society

Russell Hoverman, M.D., Ph.D., specializes in hematology and medical oncology and is board certified in internal medicine and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hoverman serves as the vice president of managed care for Texas Oncology and is the medical director of managed care and disease management for US Oncology. He oversees the Texas Oncology Quality and Peer Review programs and participates in collaborative initiatives with managed care payers. Dr. Hoverman also serves as a member of the US Oncology Pathways Task Force and Practice Quality and Efficiency Committees, and has been an important part of the nationwide safety program. He has a long-standing interest in improving communication between patients and physicians, especially for those patients with terminal illnesses at the end of their lives and is a strong supporter of hospice programs. Dr. Hoverman received his Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., and his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Albany Hospital in Albany, N.Y., from 1971-1972, his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor Affiliated hospitals in Houston, Texas, from 1974-76, and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Duke University and Baylor Affiliated Hospitals in Houston, Texas, finishing in 1977. He served as chief resident in medicine during his residency at Baylor. Dr. Hoverman received his doctorate in philosophy from The University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Dr. Hoverman is the president of the American Cancer Society, Central Texas Division; a member of the Steering Committee for the American Society of Clinical Oncology's Quality Oncology Practice Initiative; chairman of the Ethics Committee for Hospice Austin; and serves as the Texas Oncology representative to the Cancer Quality Alliance. He also serves as a State of Texas ethics consultant for advance directives in state facilities and for the committee to plan for an influenza pandemic. He is a former member of the Seton Hospitals Ethics Council, a former member of the Hospice Austin Board of Directors, and was a founding member of the St. David's Hospital Ethics Committee in Austin, Texas.

Rabbi Frederick Reeves was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, although he spent most of his formative years growing up in Richmond, Virginia. Rabbi Reeves attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia where he majored in French Literature and spent a semester in Beijing. After college, Rabbi Reeves worked in law and in consulting before he worked at the University of Michigan Hillel as a program associate. Rabbi Reeves attended the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem and then Cincinnati beginning in 1999. He obtained his Masters in Hebrew Letters in 2002 and Rabbinic Ordination in 2005. Rabbi Reeves served Temple Ohev Israel in Newark, Ohio, as a student rabbi from 2000-2002. He then served Rockdale Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio, as rabbinic intern from 2003-2005. Rabbi Reeves joined the rabbinic staff of The Temple in July of 2005 as Assistant Rabbi and was promoted to Associate Rabbi of The Temple in January of 2008. Rabbi Reeves lives with his wife, Laura, who is chief talent officer with the American Cancer Society. They have four children: Violet (born 2000), Asher (born 2002), Levi (born 2004), and Hazel (born July 2008). Rabbi Reeves is a member of the Atlanta Rabbinic Association, the Southern Jewish Historical Society, and the Society for Biblical Literature. He has spoken and written extensively on the place of religion in the conversation about the environment and was honored by Georgia Interfaith Power and Light in 2008.

Russell Hinz, a Milwaukee-based senior vice president for the American Cancer Society, said the governor has not been a "champion" of tobacco control, but his record "has been improving throughout his tenure" and the group is "hopeful and encouraged that he will take a strong cancer-fighting posture" at HHS.

Richard C. Wender, MD, is Alumni Professor and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wender received his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Wender is on the Board of the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable, and is the First Vice President of the American Cancer Society. He has received the Cancer Prevention Laurel Award for National Leadership from the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation and the St. George Medal and National Divisional Award from the American Cancer Society. Dr. Wender's research interests include increasing screening for colon cancer in primary care, cardiovascular health, and community-outreach health outcomes. He has published articles and abstracts in several journals, including Archives of Family Medicine, Annals of Family Medicine, and Cancer.

Sarah Shafir is Connecticut Vice President for Health Initiatives of the American Cancer Society, New England Division. Prior to coming to the American Cancer Society, Sarah was employed by the Maine Department of Human Services and Bureau of Health. Sarah received her Masters in Public Health from Tulane University. She is the Treasurer of the Connecticut Cancer Partnership and co-chairs its Prevention Committee.

Tonda Thompson is a regional vice president for the American Cancer Society, responsible for managing a 12-county region, 15-person staff, and more than 2,000 volunteers while serving as its health education committee president. She created four new programs in central Illinois: Relay for Life, which with 12 relays taking place raised more than $1.7 million in 2001; Look Good Feel Better, a program designed to help cancer patients feel good through the treatment process; Tell-A-Friend, a mentoring program designed to increase the number of women getting mammograms; and Special Friends, a collaborative program between students at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, St. Jude, and the American Cancer Society. During her time at Proctor Hospital, she developed and implemented the Good Health Club, a comprehensive community health education program. Tonda is a member of Eta Sigma Gamma's Health Science Honor Society; received the National Society of Fund Raising Executive's 1999 Outstanding Philanthropic Organization Award; was the United Way chair for Proctor Hospital from 1990 to 1992, and participates in numerous fundraisers for the American Cancer Society.

Coaching since 1994, Michelle's skating credentials include; US Figure Skating (USFSA) International Dance, USFSA Gold Medals in Dance, Free Dance, Moves in the Field, and Junior Figure and Freestyle tests. She is a former National competitor and holds Professional Skaters Association (PSA) Senior ratings in Freestyle and Dance. Michelle has coached competitors at the National and International level. She teaches all levels of Choreography, Dance, Freestyle, Moves and Stroking at the Club. She is the founder of The Edge Against Cancer a campaign which raises funding and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Michelle and her husband Bill reside in Philadelphia. Outside the Club she enjoys running, tennis, writing and traveling.

Carol Becker, M.S.W., a psychotherapist and a Yoga practitioner for 33 years, is the director of Patient and Family Services for the American Cancer Society in Brooklyn. She works with patients and families with life-threatening illness, runs workshops and support groups, and trains professionals on issues related to life-threatening illness, grief and loss, and bereavement.

CHUCK GILLESPIE is a former Meteorologist for NewsCenter on ABC-6, and Fox-28. A native of Evansville, Indiana, he received his A. S. in Meteorology at Mississippi State University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the Ohio State University. An active stage performer he recently played the lead role as MacHeath in The Opera Columbus production "Three Penny Opera". Theatre goers aslo recently saw him in the CATCO premiere of "You're My Boy" as Dwight Eisenhower. A Member of the American Meteorological Society, Screen Actors Guild, and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Chuck is actively involved in charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He now works with the American Cancer Society as director of corporate relations.

Diane Phillips has been the Director of Government Relations for the American Cancer Society, Pennsylvania Division in Hershey, since March 2000. In this capacity she works with volunteers, staff, coalitions and public officials to promote local, state and federal policies that address cancer prevention, early detection, research and treatment. Most recently, she coordinated Society efforts that resulted in the passage of Pennsylvania?s Clean Indoor Air Act of 2008. In addition, Diane is the Division?s liaison to the American Cancer Society?s international program. Since 2005, she has facilitated the Pennsylvania Division in hosting international fellows from Brazil, Panama and the Dominican Republic. In March 2008 she traveled to the Dominican Republic on a site visit with the Dominican Cancer League. The Society and the Dominican Cancer league are working cooperatively on providing breast and cervical cancer screening services to low-income women in the Dominican capitol, Santo Domingo. The Pennsylvania Division is also working with a similar program in Panama. Prior to joining the staff of the Society, Diane worked for 10 years in legislative advocacy and community programs with the American Heart Association, Pennsylvania Delaware Affiliate. She has also served as the Executive Director for the Association for Retarded Citizens (the arc) in York County and has a statewide community specialist for the arc?s Pennsylvania office. While working for the arc in York she was responsible for local fundraising, program development, communications and advocacy.

Cecillia "Ce Ce" Morris resides in Albany Georgia. She received her education in Miami Florida and Grand Rapids Michigan. She is currently employed at the American Cancer Society as a Senior Community Manager as well as a part-time radio Air Personality at WQVE 105.5. Ms. Morris is a member of the National Association of Colored Women's Club, Inc., the local Baronette Club, and serves a an Advisor to the Albany State University Healthcare Management Club. Additionally she serves on the Southwest Georgia Cancer Coalition Board, the Prevention and Research Community Advisory Committee with Emory University, the Tobacco Use Prevention Coalition, the Southwest Georgia Partners Against Cancer Coalition, the Southwest Georgia Regional Partners Network, the Southwest Rural Health Collaborative and the Georgia Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her four children, Talia, Amen, Tauresa, and Gilbert.

Kathy A. Sewell is the "Quality of Life Manager" for the American Cancer Society in Idaho. In the 30 years prior to her current work, Kathy had been the Executive Director of five different corporations, including a regional nonprofit organization, and the CEO of her own consulting firm, Paradigm Consulting, now known as re-Vision Associates. During her tenure with these organizations Kathy utilized her innovative and experiential philosophy to enhance business and program development. She specializes in Strategic Planning, Team Learning and Facilitation. Kathy has worked extensively with not-for-profits to enhance their growth potential and business attributes. She has been associated with the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Center for Adolescent Development, Idaho Women's Network and the American Cancer Society, among others. Kathy also utilizes her facilitation skills to do team learning with profit corporations, organizations and government agencies.

Alina Moeller grew up in San Diego, California, where she studied studio art, focusing on sculpture and installation. She also studied teacher's education, and plans to pursue teaching credentials here in Denver. In the summers, Alina volunteers as a camp counselor with the American Cancer Society, working with children of all ages, facilitating team building, and invaluable, lasting relationships between the campers. For the past two years, she worked in a Special Day Class/Learning Center in a north county San Diego elementary school. She is currently getting to know Denver, and here at Flourish, has found a perfect combination of her two passions of working with children and art.

Amy has been actively involved with Playhouse South since 1998. Not only has she performed in several shows with PHS, but she directed Sound of Music and served on the PHS Board as both Publicity Director and President. Amy has also directed and stage managed at Beavercreek Community Theater. When not volunteering at a theater, or taking care of her beautiful daughter, she is a paralegal at a law firm in Dayton, OH. Amy is also actively involved with American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

Originally from India, Dr. Anand Kuruvilla moved to the United States in 1982. After completing his undergraduate medical training in India, he attended Derbyshire Royal Infirmary and the Royal Berkshire Hospital in England for specialized post-graduate training in Radiation Oncology. Upon arrival in the United States, he spent another four years studying Radiation Oncology as a resident at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and served as Chief Resident there in his final year. After obtaining Radiation Oncology Board Certification in 1986, he practiced as a physician partner at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, California, until his move to Florida in 1991 to join the Florida Radiation Oncology Group. In 1999, Dr Kuruvilla also achieved Board Certification in Palliative and Hospice Medicine. In 2000, he was awarded Fellowship in the American College of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Kuruvilla has a special interest in genitourinary cancers. He helped pioneer the use of radioactive seed implants for treatments of prostate cancer in North Florida. He established the Ultrasound guided seed implant program at Putnam Community Medical Ctr., Palatka, Jacksonville's Baptist Medical Ctr., Memorial Medical Ctr., Orange Park Medical Ctr., St Augustine's Flagler Hospital and most recently at Lake City Medical Ctr., Lake City. Today competent FROG physicians with local urologists have made seed implants the most sought after therapeutic option for Prostate Cancer in North Florida. Dr. Kuruvilla is currently the Director of the Cancer Center of Putnam. He has served as Chief of Staff of Putnam Community Medical Center, and is a member of the Palatka Rotary Club, the Putnam & Duval County Medical Societies, Florida Medical Association, American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American College of Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American College of Radiology and the American College of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Kuruvilla also actively cares for his patients in Haven Hospice in Putnam County and the Lake City, Live Oak area. Being dual-boarded in both Radiation Oncology and Hospice and Palliative medicine helps him take exceptional compassionate care of his patients requiring palliation. Anand is an active volunteer and board member with the local American Cancer Society , having chaired the Community Outreach program for screening and early cancer detection, and has also held positions in the Florida Division of the American Cancer Society.

Angela has kept some impressive company over the last several years; rock stars, software giants, cable networks and a host of non-profits. Abobe Software, author Chuck Palahniuk, the World Wildlife Fund and indie rockers Modest Mouse rank among her most memorable projects. Angela's designs cover considerable creative ground. But beyond the Fortune 500 the work has always come first. And in that idea she has found a home in Fox Parlor. Originally from Seattle, WA, Angela was drawn to the varied cultures, wealth of artistic influences and, of course, the delicious food of San Francisco. Before joining Fox Parlor she worked as an art director, in-house designer and freelancer for several companies on the West Coast. When she's not exploring the city, collecting anatomical novelties, or causing mischief, she can be found carving linoleum for her second love, printmaking, in the hope her fine arts degree was not in vain. One of Angela's latest prints is featured in BEASTS! A Pictorial Schedule of Traditional Hidden Creatures, published by Fantagraphics.

Angela Megasko has been a Pennsylvania based marketing professional for the past twenty-seven years. She formed the company, Market Viewpoint, to provide consulting services to organizations experiencing rapid growth and change. The primary focus of this consulting company is a professional mystery shopping service that performs evaluations for individual retailers and service organizations. Prior to the formation of Market Viewpoint, Angela served as the Director of Marketing for a large continuing care retirement community. She was also in the marketing department of a Chester County, Pennsylvania hospital, and has a number of years of experience in the computer field. In addition, she has developed programs and consulted on customer service, marketing, sales, personnel training, communications, and organizational development issues. She is involved in many professional business associations based both locally and nationally. Angela earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Temple University with a concentration in Marketing and Management. She received her Master of Management degree from Penn State University. Angela serves as a volunteer of the American Cancer Society, and is also involved with that organization on a regional level. She is also active with the Women's Business Mentoring Council, The National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry.

Ann has worked in the advertising business as a sales representative and manager for the past ten years, and is excited to join the Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation staff. A graduate of Brandywine College with a business degree, Ann understands the importance of long-term client and community relationships. Developing advertising and sales plans that provide profit improvement goals for clients has always been a top priority. Ann is an active community volunteer. She serves as a loaned executive for the United Way, and received the 2004 Volunteer of the Year award. She also serves on the board for Selinsgrove Projects Inc., and is a committee member for the Junior Achievement Young Women's symposium, the American Cancer Society's Valley Soiree, and the Evangelical Bra-Ca Chapter and Gala. Ann is an active member of Sharon Lutheran Church, and a past church council member. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time golfing and traveling with her husband Dean and their two children.

Ann started work at CCCS in September 1993. Prior to coming on board, Ann worked in both part-time and full-time positions in various business offices in Butte while raising her two children. She has had extensive on-the-job training and experience as an administrative assistant. Ann is involved with the American Cancer Society, particularly the annual Relay For Life fundraiser. She is also heavily involved with CCCS' participation in the annual Uptown Christmas Stroll. Ann was born and raised in Butte, Montana.

Barbara Needham has worked in the administrative field since 2003 when she received her certificate in Microsoft Office. In addition to the basic Microsoft Office platforms, she also is well versed in basic accounting. Currently employed at Vermont Plywood, LLC among her varied responsibilities Barbara works in the main office creating and maintaining spreadsheet databases and she comes to HRSentry with experience in word processing, internet research and database maintenance skills. She is an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

Since receiving her nursing degree in 1994, Brenda has focused her career in the field of Oncology Nursing. She is certified in Chemotherapy Administration by the Oncology Nursing Society. Brenda is specially trained as a genetic risk assessment counselor and provides assessments of personal risk for developing cancer and helps to formulate an individualized plan to reduce risk, help prevent the onset and promote early detection of cancer. Brenda is also responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing staff as well as assisting the physicians. She is our Safety Coordinator and has additional training in OSHA compliance. Brenda is an active committee member for the American Cancer Society, has participated in the Relay for Life for several years and is a local and national member of the Oncology Nursing Society.

Brenda T. Billardello Vice President/Marketing Director Brenda Billardello joined Provident Community Bank on December 6, 2004 as Vice President and Marketing Director. Ms. Billardello currently serves on the ALCO committee, CRA committee, Strategic Planning Committee and chairs the Bank's training committee. Ms. Billardello has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership York County. She has also attended the Institute for Organizational Management at the University of Georgia. Her civic and professional activities include being active in her community with the York County United Way, Musclar Dystrophy Fundraisers, Partners in Tourism and the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce. She presently serves as a board of director of the Shepherd's Center of Rock Hill and is a board of director for Crimestoppers of York County. She is a member of the South Carolina Bankers Association Marketing Committee. Also, she is a member of the American Society for Training and Development.

Brenda Sabin has worked in the human resources arena for over 15 years. From 1991 through 2003 she worked as the Payroll & Benefits Manager at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. During her tenure at GMCR, employment numbers grew from less than 100 employees to over 570 employees, requiring creative design and delivery changes in the benefits packages. She also developed and presented awareness and informational programs to educate employees on those benefits. After leaving Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in 2003, Brenda started a training and consulting business for small to medium sized companies that were facing HR challenges in the compliance area with the ever changing laws and regulations. Brenda has also taught Benefit Management Classes through VT Technical College for human resource administrators and is a workshop leader for National Seminars and Padgett Thompson, teaching the complexities of payroll administration and management. She conducts benefit fairs and enrollment meetings for Total Benefit Communications as well. She is a Dale Carnegie graduate as well as a Graduate Assistant Leader for those courses. She earned her Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) through the WorldatWork organization in 1999. Previous to that she graduated from Woodbury College in 1986 with a Paralegal Certificate in law research. She is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and participates in the Winter Relay for Life Event.

Brooks W. Booker III, DDS, MS received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1968. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1977 and after two years as a general Dentist, completed his Periodontal Residency in 1981 at Wilford Hall Medical Center in Texas. In 1982 he received his Masters degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. Dr. Booker served as the Assistant Command Dental Surgeon and the Periodontal Department Head at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He joined the Cody Dental Group as a Periodontist in 1995. He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgical Dentistry at University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Dr. Booker is interested in aesthetic periodontal plastic surgery implants and tobacco cessation. He is a trainer and facilitator in tobacco cessation for the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society. In 1988 he completed extensive implant training at the Branemark Dental Implant Course. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Rodriguez is an expert on cancer and has been a Senior Epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society national headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia since 1994. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at Emory University in the Center for Women's and Children's Health. From 1992 to 1993, Dr. Rodriguez was a research associate for the China Project at Cornell University. From 1991 to 1992, she consulted for the MotherCare Project and the Pan American Health Organization in Guatemala. From 1981 to 1990, she was an epidemiologist at the Barcelona City Health Department in her native Spain and was the director of a breast cancer-screening program. She has received a National Research Service Award from the U. S. National Cancer Institute and a Health Research Fund Award from Spain. She received her medical degree from the Barcelona University Medical School and master of public health degree from John Hopkins University. Rodriguez has published 20 peer-reviewed articles, some of which are in top journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet.

Mrs. Lockett was appointed to the board in September of 1998 prior to being elected in 1999. She is a Paris High School graduate and graduate of Draughon's Business College. She is married to John Lockett and they have two sons. Mrs. Lockett is employed at Paris Living, CDC as sales outreach coordinator. She volunteers for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and currently serves on the Regional Council Advisory Board for American Cancer Society, as Reach To Recovery Volunteer for American Cancer Society, President of United Methodist Women and Sunday school teacher at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Charity came to Barnes Insurance & Financial Services with more than 10 years of customer service experience. Charity?s diverse background in banking, the medical industry and sales has enabled her the ability to identify and address customer needs from a well rounded prospective. She is detail oriented with a distinct interest in providing a service level to clients which exceeds their expectations. Charity and her husband are native to the Pensacola area. An aspiring writer, she enjoys devoting time to developing her literary voice. Charity is also an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society.

Cindy Lindsley is an Assistant Vice President of Operations at First Minnetonka City Bank, and has been with the bank for more than five years. To her role, Cindy brings 25 years of banking experience, ranging from bookkeeping to branch management. At First Minnetonka, Cindy oversees the implementation and installation of new banking systems and products, in addition to the maintenance of existing bank systems. She also oversees the bank's bookkeeping and data processing departments to ensure customers receive and have access to accurate and current account information. A long-time resident of St. Louis Park, Cindy is an avid volunteer and fundraiser for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Foundation. Cindy holds a degree in bank operations from the Minnesota Bankers Association, and has attended continuing education courses through the American Institute of Banking and other industry seminars.

Colleen has been a resident of Oshkosh for over twenty years. She is married and has one son. She is a member of Sacred Heart Church and is an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Colleen enjoys spending time with family and friends when she is not working.

Shareef, 31, joins the organization with several years experience in business development, strategic planning and events logistics for a diverse set of Rochester-based organizations including the American Cancer Society, Steven Charles Capital, and Executive Venture Partners. Shareef will work to further strengthen the River Rats' and Conquest's merchandising programs and increase retail placement and sell through.

Dr. Deborah Atkin is a board-certified dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology. She completed her dermatology specialty training at the University of Arizona, Tucson, following an internship in internal medicine at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in San Diego. Her medical school training was at UCLA where she graduated with honors in surgery and received the UCLA School of Medicine award for Outstanding Community Service for her role in organizing the first student run medical clinic for the homeless. Dr. Atkin received her undergraduate education at California State University, Northridge and UC Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. Dr. Atkin served as a surgical volunteer in South Africa for the African Medical Mission and is an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the American Liver Foundation for which she received the 2004 Combined Health Agencies San Diego Volunteer of the Year Award. She has authored a chapter in a cutaneous surgery textbook as well as numerous scientific articles including topics on hair loss, blistering diseases, laser treatment of hyperpigmentation and photodynamic therapy. In addition, Dr. Atkin regularly lectures on the latest trends in laser and light therapies and teaches fellow physicians and residents in training. Duncan MacVicar is a long-time community volunteer, for the Methodist Church, American Cancer Society, El Camino Hospital, Craigslist Foundation, and Career Action Center . He enjoys recruiting for his alma mater at local high schools. CSA has given him a passion for assisting the homeless. Duncan's resume includes Army officer, consulting, and management at Hewlett-Packard, Spectra-Physics, and a start-up company. Eden Stotsky BS, BSN(c), is a nine and a half year survivor of Stage 3 rectal cancer. She works at the Johns Hopkins Colon Cancer Center where she focuses on educating patients, the community, as well as healthcare professionals about colorectal cancer. As a patient navigator and educator for newly diagnosed colorectal cancer patients, her goal is to make each patient's journey with cancer less stressful by providing a wide range of support for them. In the community, she focuses on the importance of screening, prevention, and early detection of colorectal cancer. She also spreads the message that colorectal cancer can affect people under the age of 50. She has a special interest in children and young adults with cancer, living with and beyond cancer, the mental and physical effects of a cancer diagnosis, as well as death and dying. For the work that she does with cancer patients, Eden was awarded the American Cancer Society's Lane Adams Quality of Life Award. In her volunteer life, she sits on the Board of Directors of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society. She is a member of the Colon Cancer Alliance and will always remember the support she received from them, specifically Amy Kelly, when she was diagnosed with rectal cancer. Eden is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and plans to graduate in 2009.

Efren joins the Advancement Project with over 17 years experience serving his community through national, statewide and local non-profit organizations. His professional experience runs a broad range of social service issues including, homelessness, displaced political refugees, domestic violence, education, public health and child development. He has worked most recently as a Program Officer in the Planning and Development Department at First 5 LA, a Los Angeles County based funder of various countywide initiatives designed to improve the health, education and safety of children prenatal through five and their families. At First 5 LA Efren led the GIS activities informing strategic planning and initiative development. Efren's previous work experience includes, The Statewide California Coalition for Battered Women, The American Cancer Society, and The Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law. Committed to social change, Efren volunteers with the National Organization for Women and is a co-founder and Director for the Council for Family Court Reform.

Ms. Baker is a graduate of Glassboro College, with a BA in business with an accounting concentration. Her over 10 years of accounting experience includes employment as a staff auditor with one of the international Big 6 accounting firms. Her responsibilities with Lawson, Rescinio, Schibell & Associates include tax analysis, tax return preparation, tax planning, audits, computer operations, payroll tax returns, and financial statement preparation. Ms. Baker is an active volunteer in the American Cancer Society and St. Catherine s in Spring Lake, NJ as well as being a committee person at the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce. Erlinda Patterson is the Health Education Assistant of the Kaiser Permanente Prostate Cancer Program and a Bilingual Diversity Trainer at Kaiser Permanente. In her position she is responsible for coordinating and facilitating prostate cancer meetings for Kaiser members and the community while also preparing educational materials for newly diagnosed patients and their families. Additionally, she trains providers and staff on the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service in Health Care on behalf of the Education Department. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Erlinda worked as an ER and Burn Room Tech at the San Bernardino County Hospital in San Bernardino, California. In addition to her work experience she volunteers with a number of local organizations. She is a Legislative Ambassador for the American Cancer Society, a member of the California Prostate Cancer Coalition, and she is the past Vice President of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Toastmaster 4064, just to name a few. Erlinda has received multiple awards from several local and national political offices for her work in Advocacy of Cancer Education Awareness Program and community service. She is an effective leader and brings great skills to the WAPC group.

George Rowan, Ph.D., of East Lansing, MI, is a member of the AARP Board of Directors, Class of 2012. During the 2006-2008 biennium, he serves on the Board Membership Committee and the AARP Foundation Board. He also is a member of the National Policy Council Nominating Committee. Dr. Rowan currently is a professor at Michigan State University and holds an extension appointment. He previously was director of the David Walker Research Institute at MSU and assistant dean for external relations. Dr. Rowan also was a principal in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, public school system. Prior to his election to the Board, Dr. Rowan served as AARP Michigan State President. His other volunteer service includes chair of the Ingham County Board of Health and membership in the Lions Club of America. Dr. Rowan brings to the Board experience from his involvement with and representation on numerous health and educational committees and organizations, including service on a Public Health Advisory Committee and the Michigan African American Health Institute. Dr. Rowan also serves on the Ingham Regional Medical Center Prostate Cancer Awareness Committee and does volunteer programming for the American Cancer Society. Among his honors, Dr. Rowan has received an Exemplary Service in Academia Award from the American Society for Public Administration, a Service Award from the Western Michigan Regional Health Committee, an Outstanding Mentor Award from Michigan State University, and the Black Educator of the Year in Michigan and Ohio from the Peace Corps.

Gerald R. Fink, Ph.D. is a founder of Microbia and a founding member and former director of Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, and is the American Cancer Society Professor of Genetics at Whitehead Institute/MIT. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine. Dr. Fink is an international leader in the molecular genetics and cell biology of brewers' yeast and the fungal pathogen, Candida. He is a non-resident fellow of the Salk Institute, is on the scientific advisory boards of the Biozentrum in Basel and Dyadic Inc., and is also a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Gina Caro-Adams is Vice President of Operations and Development for the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute. As TRPI's top administrator, she is responsible for overseeing the various departments of the Institute including personnel and contractual management, development, finance, communications and research/project management. Prior to her post at the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, Ms. Caro-Adams worked with the American Diabetes Association, California Affiliate. Howard Gossage has been an active member of the Chicago community, both in personal and professional endeavors, for nearly 40 years. Mr. Gossage has been living in the downtown area for the last 5 years and has been involved in all possible aspects of the community's growth including incoming building projects and subsequent issues that are neighborhood related. Mr. Gossage remains an active member in Chicago's business community and enjoys peaceful city living. Mr. Gossage owns Automotive Rebuilders Supply, a company dedicated to providing product for the ever-growing secondary market in the heavy duty truck parts industry. Mr. Gossage also retains a large percentage in Intercon Solutions, one of the nation's largest electronics recyclers and one of Chicago's top five web development and Internet marketing firms. Mr. Gossage has a personal interest in the Connors Park Neighborhood Coalition as he owns multiple properties in the Gold Coast as well as multiple real estate investments throughout the US and Canada. As the City of Chicago grows, so do plans for Mr. Gossage and the communities he is a part of. Mr. Gossage maintains an active role in many charitable organizations such as the Y-Me Breast Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, Chicago Fashion Foundation and many other Chicago based organizations. Mr. Gossage resides in the Gold Coast with his wife of 41 years, Ellen Gossage. The Gossage's two daughters also reside in Chicago, teaching at Public and Private schools.

Dr. Pierce serves as CSO for Oncose and is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and The Complex Carbohydrate Research Center at the University of Georgia. He joined the university as Associate Professor in 1991. Prior to joining UGA, Dr. Pierce was Associate Professor for six years in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and Staff Investigator at the Pananicolau Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami School of Medicine. While at UGA, Dr. Pierce has received grants from the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Health totaling over $16 million. He is the recipient of the prestigious 5-year Faculty Research Award from the American Cancer Society. He has been Visiting Scholar in the Cell Signaling Program of the Tokyo Metropolitan Research Institute, and has or continues to serve as grant reviewer for various organizations such as the California Cancer Research Program, the Pathobiochemistry Study Section of the NIH, Ad Hoc Reviewer for the American Cancer Society, Program Project Reviewer for the NCI and NIH, and the U.S. Army Breast Cancer Program. He personally lists eight patents where he served as principal inventor or investigator. Dr. Pierce has served as Major Invited Speaker, Section Organizer, Plenary Lecturer or Workshop Organizer at over 40 different national and international conferences, symposia and workshops since 1984. He has also written over 50 papers or publications in the biochemistry and molecular biology field. Dr. Pierce received his B.S. in Chemistry/Biology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1973 (Cum Laude with Honors), his Ph.D. with Dr. S. Roth in the Department of Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1980. From 1979-1982 Dr. Pierce also served as NIH Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Clinton Ballou in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.

Jackie Callies is the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations. She is responsible for the overall management of all fund raising and alumni activities on behalf of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston 's Medical School . Prior to joining the Health Science Center , Jackie was Director of Development at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston for eight years and an employee of UTMB for over twelve years. Her commitment and loyalty extend beyond her professional career, but to her community as well. She has served on the Board for the HRA Village, Inc., and as Vice President of Development for the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Jerri Wood is the staff person for the American Cancer Society that supports newly diagnosed breast cancer patients thru the Reach to Recovery program in Snohomish and King counties. Mrs. Wood has been with the American Cancer Society for the past 9 years. She also manages the Cancer Resource Center at Everett Providence Regional Cancer Partnership. In addition, Jerri is a team captain for the Relay For Life of Northern Snohomish County in honor of her mother a cancer survivor. Jerri lives with her family in Marysville, Washington.

Jerry Schaffner earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University and has more than 20 years experience in the banking industry. He joined PlainsCapital Bank in 1988. He is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Texas Tech University Chancellors Council, the Texas Tech University Red Raider Club and Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Prior to moving to Dallas, Schaffner held board positions and memberships with the United Way of Lubbock, the Lubbock Zoning Board of Adjustments, the Huff & Puff Society, First United Methodist Church, Lubbock Executive Association, the Lubbock Lakeridge Country Club and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate of Leadership Lubbock.

Mr. Giegerich comes to Stellar Energy Services from Xcel Energy, where he worked as a Project Manager and Product Developer. Julie (Juhyun) Cho has been involved with yKAN since 2004. She first heard about yKAN when she came across an article about yKAN's active community service involvement in the Korean newspaper, and has been an active member ever since. She would like to carry on the yKAN mission and continue to expand the scope of yKAN's Community Service efforts within the Korean-American (KA) community. Julie personally enjoys being a part of yKAN because she loves being around her fellow generation of KA. Throughout a corporate career that spanned more than 25 years, Ken managed significant changes in business strategy, work process, environment and culture in a variety of organizational settings. His has directed operations, financial and personnel management for organizations as large as 600 employees and designed, organized and implemented internal consulting and human resource management support for a four-state, 21,000 employee company. He also facilitated and participated in numerous strategic planning and change management projects at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and Payless ShoeSource during his management career. Since forming The Mayer Group in 1994, Ken has assisted a variety of service, retail, manufacturing, non-profit, distribution, and health care organizations. Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Payless ShoeSource, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, YMCA of Greater Kansas City, Gregg & Associates, Universal Manufacturing, Geoff Howe Marketing Communications, Froelich Pycior Companies, The Corridor Group, American Business Women's Association, Long Term Care Physicians, PetNet, FaciliTeam, and Pony Express Delivery Services are some of the clients Ken has served. Ken has facilitated numerous strategic planning and leadership alignment sessions, designed and facilitated full scale organization change initiatives, worked with operations management to redesign work processes and related jobs, established and facilitated collaborative work teams, designed and implemented successful turnover reduction programs, developed and facilitated new group problem-solving/decision making processes, investigated sexual harassment complaints, redesigned performance appraisal systems, facilitated joint union-management initiatives and developed and delivered customer services training among many other services. In addition to holding an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Master's Degrees in Business Management and Human Resource Development, Ken maintains memberships in the American Management Association, American Compensation Association, Society of Human Resource Management, and American Society for Training and Development. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute, a national certification organization. He taught Labor Relations Law and Compensation Management at William Jewel College for four years. He served on the Executive Committee of the Labor Management Council of Greater Kansas City for two years. Ken also serves as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.

Kevin P. McDonough serves as Northern Division Vice President. He also is the Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Dickstein Associates Agency, LLC, a large multi-line Trusted Choice Insurance Agency based in New Jersey. He is a Board Member for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New Jersey, representing Region 6, serves on The Trusted Choice Committee, and is past Chairman and President of the Monmouth County Independent Insurance Agents. Mr. McDonough holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) Designations. He is a volunteer for the Sunshine Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Kevin Rueckert recently joined Lake Region Bank as Vice President/Commercial Lending in the Willmar office. In his new role, he will be responsible for generating new business relationships as well as working with existing business clients of the bank. Rueckert has a decade of banking experience in a number of areas, including retail banking, business banking and other areas. He most recently served as a commercial banking executive at a Willmar commercial bank. Rueckert earned a bachelors degree in finance and business from Minnesota State University, Mankato, as well as holds an SMFP designation/insurance license. Service to community is a big part of Rueckert's background. He continues to be an active volunteer in a number of local organizations, including the United Way, YMCA, Willmar Fest, Ducks Unlimited, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, and Junior Achievement. Rueckert and his family are 16-year residents of Willmar.

Currently, Kirsten is the Director of Corporate Media Relations Globally for Cognizant. In this capacity, she is responsible for the entire range of corporate media relations activities, including public relations, corporate social responsibility and maintaining relationships with all key influencers. Kirsten has more than 15 years of marketing communications, project management and public relations experience. She has worked in the high tech segment as a senior marketing and corporate communications professional for several startups and large publicly traded multi-national corporations in both the product and services space. In her personal life, Kirsten is a passionate volunteer for the American Cancer Society and lives in Ipswich, MA with her Husband and two daughters.

Kristen is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society and serves on the Relay For Life planning committee in both Coles and Cumberland counties. She is also an active member of the First Christian Church in Neoga , IL .

After completing the RWJ Clinical Scholars program and her first faculty position at UNC-Chapel Hill, Laura returned to the midwest as one of the founding members of the CRU. Her research interests are broad and include prospective, effectiveness studies, as well as interventions to modify health behaviors. She enjoys the challenges and opportunities t o implement interventions in clinical and community settings. Currently she is leading an effectiveness RCT of a new model of housing and case management for the homeless with chronic medical illnesses (Chicago Housing - Healthy Partnership) - a new program implemented by a consortium of 14 hospitals, respite and housing agencies throughout Chicago. Currently she is a co-investigator for a study of asthma disparities (CHIRAH), as well as studies of work-related asthma, adult immunizations among immigrants from Latin America and the effectiveness of spanish medical interpreters in the cost and health outcomes of spanish speaking patients at Stroger hospital. She continues her international health work through the international training and collaborative research network - INCLEN, serves as an Executive Committee Member of CanUSACLEN and serves as the Chair of the World Studies of Abuse in the Family Environment (WorldSAFE). She is a medical ambassador for the American Cancer Society for the Smoke-Free Chicago campaign. During 2005 she is walking the 3 day 60 mile breast cancer walk to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. When she isn't walking for 'good causes', she enjoys hiking in mountains and canyonlands.

Leah works closely with both retail and auction consignors, overseeing appraisals and related services, and orchestrates the myriad of activities that occur on the day of an auction. She has amassed a decade of experience in the field of rare wines, predominantly in the auction sector. She is a licensed auctioneer in the state of Illinois and has conducted charity auctions for the American Cancer Society and BRAVO! Greater Des Moines, and has volunteered for numerous charity auctions as well. She was the first employee hired at Davis & Company, shortly after completion of her degree at Northwestern University. As part of the small team in the early days of Davis & Company, Leah played a diverse and important role. She became a member of the Sotheby's Wine Department when that firm acquired Davis & Company in 1998, and soon rose to the position of Senior Manager. She was deeply involved with all aspects of consignment activity, including appraisals as well as financial and contractual details. Leah is also an avid athlete, and has raced in both the Chicago and Boston Marathons.

Lee Clark, Controller, has been with Parker Pest Control for over 9 years, and has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for over 7 years, Co-chairing it's signature fund raiser, Relay For Life in 2001.

Lisa has fifteen years of experience in sales and contract negotiations. Lisa is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon with a BA in International Relations and Economics. She currently lives in Lincoln Square with her husband, Mark, and three children. She is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and has assisted in raising millions of dollars in the fight against cancer. She is also actively involved in the Lincoln Square community and volunteer music instructor at Queen of Angels School.

Lisa F. Baron obtained her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia and completed the Radiology residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following her residency program she completed an additional year Fellowship specialization in Women's Imaging, concentrating on mammography and ultrasound imaging. At the completion of her fellowship she was the leading interpretating physician and served as the Medical Director of the Hollings Mammography Center at the Medical University of South Carolina for over nine years. She was instrumental in the development of the screening and diagnostic mammography program and establishing the stereotactic and ultrasound biopsy program. She is a board certified in radiology and is a board examiner for the American College of Radiology. She is involved in promoting breast cancer awareness on both local and national levels.

Liz Bonis is a registered dietitian, a certified personal trainer, and a diabetes educator with a Master of Science Degree in Public Communication & Radio-Television News. Liz received a Bachelor's Degree from the College of Applied Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and her Masters Degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. She first began working with LOCAL 12 in January 2002. Liz has been a health & medical reporter for nearly 10 years in both radio and television. She is the former host of the Mix 94.1 "Liz & Carson" morning show in Cincinnati, and the syndicated weekend health and fitness radio show on 55WKRC --"Lighten Up with Liz." Liz publishes a monthly health and wellness newsletter, has a personal fitness video called "The Lazy Way to Lighten Up (for women)", and writes weekly on-health articles at Lightenupwithliz.com. She currently hosts seminars nationwide on fighting fat, getting fit, stress management, diabetes breakthroughs, weight loss, women's health and nutrition. Liz is active in Cincinnati with the American Heart Association, the Greater Cincinnati YMCA, the Northern Kentucky Chapter of the American Dietetic Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Cancer Society and Crossroads Community Church in Oakley.

Loree K. Oberle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1975, and her Master of Science degree in Oral Biology in 1977 at the University of California, San Francisco. She is an active volunteer in the American Dental Hygienists' Association, having been an officer on the state and national levels, as well as locally. She has also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society since 1978. Loree has been an employee at Scripps Clinic since 1978, practicing in the Department of Oral Medicine until its conversion to Scripps Center for Dental Care in 1988. Loree specializes in the oral care and management of patients with medical conditions including diabetes, heart problems, prostheses, blood disorders, autoimmune disease, patients undergoing radiation and chemotherapy, and those with anxiety or "dental phobias". Her hobbies and interests include water and snow skiing, reading and riding her life cycle.

Lori has been a member since 1997 when her oldest son joined our religious school. Since then, two of her sons have become Bar Mitzvah and her youngest boy will complete his studies this year. Lori has a Bachelors from the University of Illinois, a Masters from the University of Colorado and is a Commercial Property Manager. Lori is also an active volunteer with The American Cancer Society and The Willmar Center For Bereaved Children.

Lynne Pillsbury has served in numerous leadership positions as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society for 23 years. A few of those positions include: President (2) and Past Event Chair (2) for the Long Beach Cancer League; President of the local unit board and chair of the Los Angeles Regional Council of the American Cancer Society, and member of the California Division Board of the American Cancer Society for 11 years. Having chaired several division committees, Lynne was chosen to receive the California Division Lifetime Achievement Award as Volunteer of the Year in the year 2000. Lynne has served on Phoenix Board of Directors from 2000 to present. She has been a member of the Museum s Board of Trustees since 2001, chairing the Officers and Trustees Group for 2 years and currently serving as Secretary of the Board of Trustees. This is second term serving as Chair of Art Auction: Art Auction X and Art Auction XI. Lynne also serves as Chair of the Todd Cancer Institute Board of Directors at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. She and husband Gainer a third generation Long Beach native have lived in Long Beach since 1964 with husband. They have two daughters, Tricia and Gayle, and five grandchildren.

Dr. Lussier was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Educated in New York, Houston and Los Angeles, he chose to settle in Southern California with his wife and son and build his medical practice in the Santa Clarita Valley. Dr. Lussier is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in Plastic Surgery and by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery, with an extensive education in aesthetic, hand and general reconstructive surgeries. He prides himself on staying current with the latest technology and procedures. He resides on the medical staff of a number of hospitals and is an active member of the American Cancer Society, for the Santa Clarita Valley unit. Dr. Lussier is a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Marcee Northey grew up just over the Illinois-Indiana border in Munster, IN. She was raised to love the Cubs and dislike the White Sox and Notre Dame. After obtaining a BA from Purdue University (Go Boilers!), she began a career in nonprofit fundraising. After working in development for the United Way, the American Cancer Society and Sinai Health System, Marcee joined the ENF in October, 2006. Her interest in working for the ENF stemmed from a personal history with the Elks and an interest in continuing to make a difference through nonprofit work. She has lived in Chicago for 9 years and is married to a wonderful guy who's a great cook. In her free time, Marcee likes to read and spend time with family and friends.

Marshall C. Taylor is an attorney having engaged in the practice of law since 1965, and is presently associated with the Lehmann Law Group, LLC, as "Of Counsel". Attorney Taylor has served as general counsel for First Hartford Realty, counsel for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company, President of Your Shelter, Inc., and over the years, has participated in numerous small business entrepreneurial concerns. He is currently an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Shoreline Circle of Hope, and serves on the Town of Manchester Ethics Commission .

Mrs. Bliss has had a varied career. She's held paid positions in teaching, newspaper reporting, public relations, office administration, and historical research, and leadership/service roles in many causes, including the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, the Council of Catholic Women, the Illinois State Crime Commission, and Literacy Volunteers. Her longest association, however, has been with the pro-life community; for more than twenty-five years she's been actively involved in combating the assault on the unborn, the disabled, and the elderly, chiefly through Illinois Citizens for Life, the educational and advocacy organization she headed and still serves, principally as founder and director of its Project Love. The project is a program to help pregnant women and new mothers weather financial problems.

Mary Schooler, has a great history of volunteerism in the Amarillo community. She is active in promoting women's health issues by being a past honorary chairman of the Panhandle Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, being the co-founder of Women in Touch (for breast cancer survivors), and being a member of the Amarillo Breast Health Coalition. Mary chaired the advisory board of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice/Olivia's Angels and she has served on the boards of Meals on Wheels and the St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation. She is a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is a member of the Junior League Advisory Council. She is long-standing chairman of the annual Amarillo Community Prayer Breakfast. Mary was on the founding board of the High Plains Food Bank as well as serving on the boards of Catholic Family Service, the Downtown Women's Center, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She was named a Woman of Distinction (1986) by the Amarillo Soroptimists, the Outstanding Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Amarillo, and the Globe News Woman of the Year in 1995. She was honored as the Downtown Women's Center 2008 Donor of the Year. She is an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Mary has been a volunteer with the American Cancer Society since 1996, volunteering with the Reach to Recovery visitation program for breast cancer patients, as well as being a Regional Trainer for the Reach to Recovery program. She also has served on the Board of Directors and Breast Health Awareness committee. As well as being a volunteer, Mary also supports the American Cancer Society fundraisers such as the Cattle Baron's Ball and Relay for Life.

MaryAnn became our Commissioner Director in January 2004, and has a keen interest in our district. Prior to her election as Commissioner, MaryAnn served as director of the Chamber of Commerce for 6 years. MaryAnn and her husband Tom have two sons, Brad and Matt. MaryAnn also volunteers for The American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society.

Matt joined D-A-S in 1996 and has held several key positions including Project Manager, Account Executive and Business Development Director while contributing to the growth of D-A-S's client base and brand image. Matt works closely with the sales team to define D-A-S' marketing efforts by evaluating and redefining company strategies and initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and build long term repeat business relationships. Matt also serves as D-A-S' public relations advocate to promote a clear and consistent message about the company to the media and various government agencies. Matt has a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Kent State University, Masters Degree in Strategic Business Management from Baldwin Wallace College and has been an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial & Office Properties), serving as the Chair for the organizations Charitable Golf Outing that benefits The American Cancer Society and Cleveland State University.
