A highly disciplined businessman with a single-minded dream to build a great company, President and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Hudson founded RL Hudson & Company in 1980 as a seal distributorship. Since then, the company has evolved to become a global supplier of custom-molded rubber and plastic solutions for some of the worlda s largest and most well-known manufacturers. While the companya s business model has evolved, Ricka s primary goals have remained constant: to offer the best in products and services to his customers, and create outstanding opportunities for his employees. Originally from Chamblee, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, Rick initially attended Vanderbilt University, and then transferred to Georgia Institute of Technology where he received his undergraduate degree in industrial management, with a minor in engineering. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1967, Rick began his career working with Parker Seal, a division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, in Culver City, California. It was there that he began to develop his passion for and knowledge of rubber and plastic technology, and the application of those materials. In 1973, Rick joined Disogrin Industries, a manufacturer of polyurethane molded products and hydraulic seals. He then launched RL Hudson & Company in 1980. Today, Rick is considered an authority on rubber and plastics, as well as the design and manufacturing of products and components that use these materials. He is frequently asked to speak to business and professional organizations, industry and technical groups, and engineering students on diverse topics including Asian supply chain management and polymer technology. In 2003, as President and Chief Executive Officer of RL Hudson & Company, Rick was honored by the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce as Tulsaa s Small Business Person of the Year. The following year, he also was honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration as Oklahomaa s Small Business Person of the Year. The company also has won numerous awards for quality and reliability from its customers. Rick is very active in professional and community organizations. He is Vice-Chairman of the Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority, a member of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and a member of the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation. He also serves on The University of Tulsaa s College of Business Administration Executive Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors for Triad Bank.

David gained an academic interest in mechanisms of aging and began exploring the possibility of pharmacological intervention into the aging process in 1998. Animal models indicated R-lipoic acid (RLA) may normalize several age-related markers to those of youthful animals. RLA was commercially unavailable at that time, so he began to work out industrially feasible routes to produce RLA and stable-bioavailable dosage forms on a large scale, which evolved into GeroNova Research, Inc. David has played a key role in the introduction and development of R-Lipoic Acid, K-RALA, Na-RALA, Rala-Gel and R-DHLA for the nutraceutical industry. David's latest research is the development of entirely "green" and asymmetric processes for the industrial scale synthesis of RLA and R-DHLA, and the contribution of stereochemistry and the metabolites to the overall mechanisms of action of RLA/R-DHLA. He is continuously testing and developing novel dosage forms, evaluating the plasma pharmacokinetics of RLA and various nutritional supplements and identifying new biomarkers for quantitation and intervention into the aging process. GeroNova has compiled an extensive data base of English and foreign language lipoic acid articles and is actively translating foreign articles into English in order to facilitate future researchers. David is actively involved in numerous international collaborations involving the elucidation of the mechanisms of action of RLA, new product development and clinical trials. David was an invited speaker at the Oxygen Club of California (OCC) & the Lipoic Acid workshop in Santa Barbara, CA (March 12-15, 2008) where he discussed the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of RLA in humans, the role of stereochemistry in the mechanisms of action of lipoic acid and unsolved problems in lipoic acid research. David has spoken at the American College for the Advancement of Medicine, American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and Smart Life Forum on the use of R-Lipoic Acid & R-Dihydrolipoic acid in nutrition and clinical practice. David is a member of The American Chemical Society, The California Academy of Sciences, The New York Academy of Sciences, and the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.

Dr. Donna Visioli joined DuPont as a polymer scientist in 1984 and spent more than 15 years delving into research projects involving packaging materials like water-soluble polymers, barrier resins and ethylene copolymers. After acquiring significant expertise in food chemistry, Visioli began to concentrate on food packaging applications and how innovative packages can offer safer, fresher, healthier, more varied choices in environmentally friendly containers that boost consumer convenience and flexibility. Visioli and her colleagues have taken great strides in packaging perishables like meat and produce so that they are "case ready," or shipped to stores already packaged for final sale. She and her team helped develop state-of-the-art packages that securely seal meat, but at the same time allow oxygen in to retain the tempting red color consumers expect. They helped design packages that hold marinated meat products without leaking, even though marinades often contain abrasive spices like peppercorns that would pierce many packaging films. She and her team also are evaluating several exciting applications for perishable foods that will set new standards for freshness and long shelf life. Visioli works with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, universities and food processors to help create safer, more effective food packaging. A prolific author of numerous scientific articles, Dr. Visioli holds more than 15 U.S. patents and 50 international patents. She actively participates in many industry associations, such as the National Food Processors Association, the American Chemical Society, the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industries, and the Institute of Food Technologists.

Dupont working on polymer characterization techniques with an R&D-100 Award winning Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA) to his credit. Prior to joining Baxter Healthcare, he conducted research on polyolefins, thermoplastic elastomers, and adhesives at the ARCO Chemical Company. In 1984, he was appointed technical director at Baxter's corporate Material and Membrane Technology Center, and in 24 years of service at Baxter, he and his teams resolved numerous important issues, and invented new materials, processes and devices. In the mid-80's, he discovered that many rigid plastics devices become brittle due to a phenomenon called physical aging, and found ways to prevent it. The spider diagram he used to graphically analyze product performance is now the standard practice for major companies. In 1992, he became the first person appointed to the position of Baxter Distinguished Scientist, and currently holds the position of Distinguished Scientist Emeritus.
