Carl D. Harnick was appointed to our board of directors on February 7, 2005. Mr. Harnick has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Courtside Acquisition Corp since March 18, 2005. Mr. Harnick was a partner with Ernst & Young and its predecessor for thirty years, retiring from the firm in September 1997. Since leaving Ernst & Young, Mr. Harnick has provided financial consulting services to various organizations, including Alpine Capital, a private investment firm, at various times since October 1997. He was a director of Platinum Entertainment, Inc., a recorded music company, from April 1998 through June 2000, Classic Communications, Inc., a cable television company, from January 2000 through January 2003, and Sport Supply Group, Inc., a direct mail marketer of sporting goods, from April 2003 through August 2004. Mr. Harnick has been the Treasurer as well as a Trustee for Prep for Prep, a charitable organization, for more than five years.

Norman K. Styer joined the Company in March 2006 as Publisher and Editor-in Chief of Leesburg Today and Executive Editor of Loudoun Magazine and Loudoun Business. In his current position, he is responsible for all editorial aspects of the Company's Loudoun County, Virginia based publications which consist of the weekly Leesburg Today, the monthly Loudoun Business and the quarterly Loudoun Magazine. Combined and non duplicated circulation for the group is approximately 100,000 households. Mr. Styer joined Leesburg Today in 1989 as its first full-time reporter and in 1996 was named Managing Editor for multimedia operations, in charge of developing the newspaper's Web site and overseeing its cable television news programming. In 1997, he was named Editor of Leesburg Today and was elected to the newspaper's Board of Directors, serving terms as Chairman and Secretary. Prior to joining Leesburg Today / Amendment One, Mr. Styer served as Assistant Editor of The Gazette Newspapers in Falls Church, Virginia. Mr. Styer is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in print journalism. He has been active in the community and served on the Board of Directors of Amendment I, Inc. prior to its sale to the Company in March 2006.

Roy D. Biondi joined the the Company in June 2007, after having served as Group Publisher of Greater Kansas City Community Newspapers since 2004. In his current position, he is responsible for advertising, circulation and operations of the Company's Columbus area operations which consists of a 26 publication, clustered newspaper and magazine group with approximately 412,000 in circulation. Prior to moving to the Kansas City area, Mr. Biondi was Publisher of the Times Herald in Olean New York, as well as Sales and Marketing Manager for Bradford Publishing Company. Mr. Biondi began his career as District Circulation Manager for the Newark Advocate in Newark, Ohio. He later served as a Circulation Manager for the Ocean County Observer in Toms River, New Jersey, and as Circulation Sales and Promotion Manager for the Altoona Mirror in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Mr. Biondi later headed the circulation department at the Evening Sun in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and the Woonsocket Call in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, before taking a position as a consultant for Thomson Newspapers in Kansas City, Missouri. In that position, he worked with Thomson-owned newspapers with over 150,000 circulation in the Western and Southern regions of the U.S. Prior to becoming Publisher of the Times Herald in January 1999, he held the position of Publisher in Ada, Oklahoma from 1993 through 1999. Mr. Biondi graduated from Muskingum College in Ohio.

Bill Weaver joined the Company in January 2007 as Group Publisher of Star Community Newspapers. In this position, he is responsible for advertising, circulation and operations of the Company's Dallas area operations which consists of 2 dailies, 14 weekly and six niche publications with circulation of approximately 298,000. Mr. Weaver began his career in publishing in 1975, when he joined the start-up company, Pennysaver Publications of Pennsylvania Inc. During his tenure there, he was instrumental in growing the company from a 16,000 circulation single edition shopper publication to its current circulation of 780,000 and 83 weekly direct mail editions. From 1975 through 2006, Mr. Weaver held a number of positions with Pennysaver, including Mail Room Manager, Accounting Manager, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Classifieds and most recently, General Manager. During his more than 30 years with Pennysaver, Bill has had the opportunity to work with several parent companies including the French media giant, Havas SA, UK's Trinity Mirror plc, and most recently, the Tribune-Review Publishing Company. Mr. Weaver graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Physics and received his MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has been an active member of several newspaper trade associations.

Bob joined ACN in April 2008 as the Group Publisher of the Minnesota Sun Newspaper. In his current position, he is responsible for advertising, circulation and operations of the Company's Minnesota operations which consists of a 44 publication, clustered newspaper group with approximately 485,000 in circulation. Mr. Cole joins ACN from ECM Publishers, which publishes 26 weekly community newspapers and advertising publications along with companion community Web sites, where he served as a member of the senior management team and most recently as Marketing Director. During his 19-year tenure at ECM, Mr. Cole helped grow the company's revenues across their print and online publications as well as in its commercial printing operations. His day-to-day responsibilities focused on developing short and long term plans and initiatives for the company that included product development for online products, sales and training, and supporting the company's acquisition processes. He was also called upon to fill interim general management positions in various company locations. Outside of ECM, Mr. Cole has been highly involved in the publishing industry. He is currently serving as director and treasurer of Independent Free Papers of America, and was formerly president of the Minnesota Free Papers Association and past director of the Wyoming Newspaper Association. In addition to his notable professional credentials, Mr. Cole also brings a true sense of community service to ACN, having served as president of Forest Lake Rotary, chairman and director of the Forest Lake Youth Service Bureau and board member of Fairview Lakes Regional Healthcare, as well as maintaining active leadership roles at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake.
Corporate Major Account Sales Director, American Community Newspapers II, LLC. Nancy Lewis joined the Company in December 2007 as its Corporate Major Account Sales Director. In this position, Ms. Lewis will be responsible for national advertiser accounts across the company's four geographic markets. Prior to joining ACN, she was the major/national sales manager for the El Paso Times and the Texas New Mexico Partnership. Prior to her tenure at Media News Group, Nancy worked for Gannett, Freedom Communications, Thomson Newspapers, Cox Newspapers and the Pennysaver. Ms. Lewis joins ACN with 20 years of print-advertising experience, holding a variety of positions including major account sales and director of marketing.

Richard D. Hendrickson, C.P.A., joined the Company in May 1998 as Chief Financial Officer of Minnesota Sun Publications and assumed the additional positions of Corporate Controller for ACN in October 2003 and Vice President of Operations in January 2004. In his current positions, he is responsible for all business and accounting matters for the Company's Minnesota newspaper group. As Corporate Controller he is responsible for monthly financial reporting and consolidations of all ACN divisions. Mr. Hendrickson joined ACN from Aramark, where he served as Chief Financial Officer for the Minnesota book division for over four years. Mr. Hendrickson also worked for the predecessor company to Aramark book division, Meader Distributing, which specialized in book and nature music distribution. Mr. Hendrickson was instrumental in facilitating the acquisition of Meader, a privately held company, by Aramark. Prior to joining Aramark, Mr. Hendrickson served as Corporate Controller and Treasurer of Activar, Inc., a holding company with operating divisions which included distribution, manufacturing and diskette duplication. While at Activar, Mr. Hendrickson was responsible for all acquisitions, monthly financial reporting, bank relations and benefit plan administration. Prior to joining Activar, Mr. Hendrickson was employed in public accounting as a manager of a national accounting firm.

Mr. Goldstein is a Senior Managing Director of Alpine Capital LLC and its affiliate, Alpine Equity Partners (collectively, "Alpine"). Alpine invests as principal in a variety of businesses, especially in the media, entertainment and telecommunications industries. In addition, it also provides financial advisory and merger and acquisition consulting services. Mr. Goldstein is also a Director and member of the Executive Committee of American Community Newspapers, Inc., an AMEX listed company. Prior thereto, Mr. Goldstein was a member of the law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, which he joined in 1976. Mr. Goldstein was a Director of The Berkshire Bank from 1991 to 1999, serving on the Board's Executive Committee and Loan Committee. Mr. Goldstein is a member of the Executive Committee (and former Chair) of the Queens College Foundation, and Vice Chairman and a member of the Executive Committee of the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. Mr. Goldstein received a BA from Queens College and a JD from Harvard University.
Mr. Simmons joined Wachovia Capital Partners in 2000. His investing efforts are focused in the Media and Communications and Business and Technology Services industries. Mr. Simmons is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
