Susan Tomasky is president, AEP Transmission, with responsibility for Transmission operations and new transmission business ventures. Prior to her current position, she was executive vice president-Shared Services, responsible for human resources, information technology and telecommunications, procurement and supply chain services, corporate services and enterprise security. Tomasky joined AEP in 1998 as senior vice president and general counsel and served as executive vice president and general counsel since 2000. She took responsibility as chief financial officer in 2001. Prior to joining AEP, Tomasky was a partner with the Washington, D.C., office of Hogan & Hartson, where she was a member of the firm's energy group. From 1993-97, she served as general counsel of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), where she was a primary legal and policy advisor to the commission. Tomasky has testified before Congress, other federal agencies and state utility commissions on a wide range of federal regulatory issues. She serves on the board of the Keystone Institute and is a frequent speaker on industry restructuring issues. In 2001 and 2002, she was named one of the world's "50 key women in energy worldwide" by energy consultancy Rader Energy in association with Commodities Now magazine and corporate sponsors. She also was selected as one of the "50 key women in energy in the Americas" for 2002. A native of Morgantown, W.Va., Tomasky holds a juris doctor degree with honors from George Washington University National Law Center in Washington, D.C., where she was a member of the Law Review. She also is an honors graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She lives in Columbus with her husband, Ronald Ungvarsky, and their daughter, Victoria. Tomasky participates in numerous civic and community activities. She is a member of the board of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, board of directors of the United Way, the executive committees of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Columbus School for Girls, and the board of trustees of Mount Carmel Health Systems.
Dr. Draper is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Electric Power Company, Inc. (NYSE-AEP), one of the largest power utilities in the U.S. He joined AEP in 1992, following his thirteen year tenure with Gulf State Utilities Co. in Beaumont, Texas, where he served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Richard L. Sandor is chairman, CEO and founder of the Chicago Climate Exchange, the world's first and North America's only voluntary, legally binding integrated greenhouse gas emissions reduction, registry and trading system. He is executive chairman of Climate Exchange plc, an AIM-listed company, which owns the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) and the European Climate Exchange (ECX). Dr. Sandor is also a research professor at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Member of the International Advisory Council of Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. While on sabbatical from the University of California, Berkeley in the early 1970s he served as Vice President and chief economist of the Chicago Board of Trade. It was at that time that he earned the reputation as the principal architect of the interest-rate futures market. Richard L. Sandor was honored by the City of Chicago and the Chicago Board of Trade for his contribution to the creation of financial futures and his universal recognition as the "father of financial futures". In October 2007, Dr. Sandor was honored as one of TIME Magazine's "Heroes of the Environment" for his work as the "Father of Carbon of Trading."

Donald M. Carlton, PhD, has been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since 1994. From February 1996 until December 1998, Dr. Carlton served as the president and CEO of Radian International LLC, and from 1969 until January 1996, Dr. Carlton served as president and chairman of the Board of Radian Corporation, both of which are environmental engineering firms. Ms. Koeppel has been executive vice president and chief financial officer of American Electric Power (AEP), one of the largest power generators and distributors in the United States, since 2006. She joined AEP in 2000 as vice president, new ventures, AEP corporate development and was promoted to senior vice president, corporate development and strategy in 2002. Later that year, she was promoted to executive vice president, energy services. She became executive vice president, commercial operations in 2003 and served as executive vice president of AEP Utilities-East from 2004 until she was appointed chief financial officer in 2006. Prior to joining AEP, Koeppel was regional vice president, Asia Pacific, Sydney, Australia for Consolidated Natural Gas from 1996 to 2000. Ms. Koeppel has served as a director on the boards of energy or technology companies in the United Kingdom, Brazil, China and Australia. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Rolls Royce Solid-Oxide Fuel Cell Division and is a director of Energy Insurance Mutual. Ms. Koeppel is an active advocate of the Women's Fund of Central Ohio, a member of the The Ohio State University Dean's Advisory Council and a member of the Opera Columbus Board and the Board of the Center of Science and Industry.
Joe Hamrock is president and chief operating officer, AEP Ohio, serving approximately 1.44 million customers in Ohio and the northern West Virginia panhandle. He has authority for distribution operations and a wide range of customer and regulatory relationships.
Previously, from 2003 to 2007, he was senior vice president and chief information officer in AEP's Shared Services organization, responsible for development and support of AEP's software applications and operation of AEP's information technology infrastructure. Waldo was previously president and CEO of the West Virginia Roundtable, a private, non-profit, non-partisan association whose members include the chief executive officers of West Virginia's leading business, education and economic development organizations.
Prior to joining the Roundtable, Waldo was AEP’s state president in West Virginia. In that capacity, he was responsible for AEP's external affairs and public policy activities in West Virginia, including liaison with customers, regulators, legislators and members of the public. With AEP for 25 years, Waldo held various accounting, financial forecasting and operational positions, including vice president of Appalachian Power and president and COO of Wheeling Power Co., an AEP public utility subsidiary.
Waldo has served on the board of directors of Advantage Valley, the Business and Industrial Development Corporation of Kanawha Valley, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the West Virginia Manufacturers Association and the West Virginia Roundtable. He also served as a trustee of the University of Charleston and as a member of the visiting committee of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. Tim Mosher was named president and chief operating officer of Kentucky Power in June 2004. As president he oversees distribution operations serving 175,000 AEP customers in Eastern Kentucky as well the operating unit's safety, customer services, marketing, communications, community affairs, governmental affairs and regulatory functions. Prior to his current position, Mosher served as president of AEP-Kentucky, where he oversaw AEP's public policy and environmental advocacy activities in the Commonwealth. Since joining AEP in 1970, Mosher has held managerial positions in operations, governmental affairs, marketing and customer services. Charles Patton is president and chief operating officer for AEP Texas, serving approximately 901,000 customers. He has authority for distribution operations and a wide range of customer, legislative, and regulatory relationships. In his previous position, Patton was state president - Texas. His strategic focus was on community relations and public policy matters in the state, particularly as they AEP's business in the increasingly competitive electricity industry. He was responsible for building and maintaining external relationships with regulators, legislators, consumers and other stakeholders who have an impact on AEP for public policy matters in the state. Prior to this, Patton was vice president of governmental affairs. In this capacity, he directed state legislative activity for AEP in Texas. He joined Central and South West Inc. in 1995 to become director of state government affairs for the CSW system. Prior to joining CSW, Patton spent nearly 11 years in the energy and telecommunications business with Houston Industries/Houston Lighting & Power. While there, he worked in regulatory affairs and assisted in the litigation and management of regulatory proceedings. He was a policy specialist in government affairs and a lobbyist in Texas and Washington, D.C. During this time, Patton also served as a company liaison with the United States Energy Association and traveled internationally to discuss government affairs and public relations with Eastern European utilities. Patton has been active in state energy policy matters. He was appointed by former Texas Gov. George Bush to serve on the Texas Energy Coordination Council and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Gov. Rick Perry appointed Patton to the Texas Energy Planning Council, which was established to advise the governor on a balanced plan for providing the energy needed to fuel the state's future economic growth. Patton received a bachelor's degree (cum laude) from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and a master's degree from the LBJ School of Public Policy at the University of Texas in Austin. He completed, with honors, special undergraduate programs relating to urban planning and government at Boston University, Harvard and American University.
Dennis E. Welch is executive vice president - Environment, Safety & Health and Facilities for American Electric Power. He leads all of AEP's environmental, safety and health activities, including compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, as well as federal and state public policy initiatives and advocacy. In addition, he has responsibility for forestry, real estate transactions, travel and food services, mail print centers, facility management and other business services.
Under his leadership, the company's commitment to sustainability advanced significantly, nationally and internationally, and was clearly defined in AEP's first Corporate Responsibility Report in 2007. He is based in Columbus, Ohio. As a senior officer of the company, he serves on the company's Executive Council.
American Electric Power is one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, delivering electricity to more than 5.1 million customers in 11 states. AEP is the nation's largest generator of electricity, owning nearly 38,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the U.S. AEP also owns the nation's largest electricity transmission system, a nearly 39,000-mile network that includes more 765-kilovolt extra-high voltage transmission lines than all other U.S. transmission systems combined. The company owns and operates approximately 210,000 miles of overhead and underground distribution lines. AEP controls more than 8,300 rail cars, 2,300 barges and 53 towboats and operates a coal-handling terminal with 20 million tons of capacity.
Welch was previously president and chief operating officer of Yankee Gas & Yankee Energy System, an operating subsidiary of Northeast Utilities (NU) in Berlin, CT. He was named president and chief operating officer of Yankee Gas, Connecticut's largest natural gas distribution company, and Yankee Energy System in 2001. During his tenure at Yankee Energy, Welch chaired the Northeast Gas Association for two years, helping the industry trade association navigate through difficult times and a merger with the New York Gas Association. A 20-year veteran of NU, Welch served as vice president of Environmental, Safety & Ethics at NU for four years immediately prior to his position at Yankee Gas & Yankee Energy.
A native of New Albany, Ind., Welch earned a bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety management from Indiana State University at Terre Haute and a master's degree in business and human resource management from the Hartford Graduate Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also completed the Executive Environmental Leadership Program at Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
Currently, Welch serves as AEP's voting representative to the national Center for Energy and Economic Development (CEED) Board of Directors and is AEP's primary representative to its Executive Committee. He also serves on the AEP Foundation Board of Directors and he represents AEP at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
Welch is chairman of the Finance and Operating Committee of Americans for Balanced Energy Choices (ABEC). He is also a member of the Center for Resilience Advisory Board at The Ohio State University and the Ohio Environmental Health Science Advisory Committee. And, he is a board member of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission.
In addition to being past chairman of the Northeast Gas Association (NGA), he also chaired the NGA's Gas Supply Task Force. He also was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Gas Association (AGA), AGA's Leadership Council, and the AGA's Security, Integrity and Reliability Committee. He is immediate past chairman of the Research and Advisory Committee for the Electric Power Research Institute. He served on the University of Connecticut's Advisory Board for the School of Engineering and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Advisory Board Nuclear & Environmental Engineering. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy and a former member of the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company Decommissioning Advisory Board, and the National Safety Council Public Utilities Executive Committee.
Welch lives in New Albany, Ohio, with his wife Elizabeth Monahan. He has a daughter, Danielle, who lives in Maryland

Lisa Barton is vice president of transmission strategy and business development for American Electric Power. She is responsible for developing and executing transmission strategy and business plans as well as business planning and analysis, reliability compliance, business development and oversight of AEP's interface with its corporate partners. Barton joined AEP from Northeast Utilities in Berlin, Conn., where she was manager of transmission regulations and compliance. Barton has 20 years of experience in the energy field. She earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1987 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., and a juris doctorate in 1993 from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
Scott Moore, 46, is Vice President of Transmission Operations at American Electric Power. He is a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Roman Catholic church in Dublin, Ohio where he serves as a lector. He volunteers many Saturdays with the Dublin Habitat for Humanity Partnership, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Habitat for Humanity Greater Columbus. He is also an Eagle Scout and serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 117 Dublin. Scott's wife, Anne, works for the Ohio Department of Health and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Audiology. Their children are Alex and Patrick who study at OSU and Dublin High School respectively. Scott is a native of Idaho, but he grew up in Lubbock, TX. Some of his other interests include building, jogging, backpacking and outdoor adventure. Scott is thrilled to continue his Global Village work, having already been to Ghana in 2005 and Mexico in 2006.
