Robert L. Chaput, was the previous founder and CEO of American Technology Group, Inc. (ATG). He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in developing and implementing strategies and plans to apply information technology to address competitive advantage and business opportunities. Prior to founding ATG, an information technology services company dedicated to helping health-care clients with data protection, disaster recovery and business continuity, Mr. Chaput served as vice president in Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. with general management responsibility for building an information technology consulting and services practice in the health care sector. In this capacity, he served as CIO for a number of health-care clients. In addition, from 1993 through 1997, he served as vice president Johnson and Johnson Networking and Computing Services and CIO. He was a member of Johnson & Johnson's Corporate Office of Information Management (COIM) and ran a $120 million services company serving 200 Johnson & Johnson operating companies around the world. As CEO of ATG, Mr. Chaput has written, consulted and spoken extensively on HIPAA Security Rule compliance, information security, disaster recovery and data protection. Prior to his experience at Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Chaput was vice president of technology operations at General Electric Information Services, a global leader in network-based services and electronic commerce. In an earlier assignment in GE, he led a 250-person applications development organization that facilitated GE's major reengineering efforts during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Mr. Chaput also was a member of a small executive team that led GE's entry into the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery business. Mr. Chaput holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Mathematics from Clark University and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, respectively. He also completed two Advanced Engineering Certificate programs at the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering and holds numerous technical certifications. Mr. Chaput began his career in education and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the ITT Technical Institute and Belmont University.
