Dr. Shurney has an extensive health care management and consulting background. Prior to joining Healthways, Dr. Shurney served has a key strategist in Health Policy in the department of Global Government Affairs for the biotechnology company Amgen Inc., located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Dr. Pope has more than 25 years experience in health care, including 16 years operating a private cardiology practice in Tampa, Florida. He has repeatedly been named among the Best Doctors in America and currently oversees all medical quality initiatives for Healthways.

Ms. Chaput has significant business and finance experience that spans several industries, including healthcare, information services, manufacturing and venture capital consulting. She oversees the financial structure of Healthways as chief financial officer.

As a pioneer in disease management, Robert Stone co-founded Healthways in 1981 as American Healthcorp and has served on the company’s executive team for the past 27 years. A charter board member and former president of DMAA: The Care Continuum Alliance, he is a prolific author, speaker and commentator on issues facing the industry and health care in general. In addition to his tenure with Healthways, Stone has held leadership positions at Kings County Hospital Center, Rancocas Valley Hospital in New Jersey and New York Medical College before serving as the Director of the Determination of Need program in Massachusetts. Stone earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford and an MBA in Health Care Administration from George Washington University.

Robert L. Chaput, was the previous founder and CEO of American Technology Group, Inc. (ATG). He brings with him more than 30 years of experience in developing and implementing strategies and plans to apply information technology to address competitive advantage and business opportunities. Prior to founding ATG, an information technology services company dedicated to helping health-care clients with data protection, disaster recovery and business continuity, Mr. Chaput served as vice president in Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. with general management responsibility for building an information technology consulting and services practice in the health care sector. In this capacity, he served as CIO for a number of health-care clients. In addition, from 1993 through 1997, he served as vice president Johnson and Johnson Networking and Computing Services and CIO. He was a member of Johnson & Johnson's Corporate Office of Information Management (COIM) and ran a $120 million services company serving 200 Johnson & Johnson operating companies around the world. As CEO of ATG, Mr. Chaput has written, consulted and spoken extensively on HIPAA Security Rule compliance, information security, disaster recovery and data protection. Prior to his experience at Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Chaput was vice president of technology operations at General Electric Information Services, a global leader in network-based services and electronic commerce. In an earlier assignment in GE, he led a 250-person applications development organization that facilitated GE's major reengineering efforts during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Mr. Chaput also was a member of a small executive team that led GE's entry into the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery business. Mr. Chaput holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in Mathematics from Clark University and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, respectively. He also completed two Advanced Engineering Certificate programs at the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering and holds numerous technical certifications. Mr. Chaput began his career in education and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the ITT Technical Institute and Belmont University.

Mr. Taylor has 25 years experience overseeing operations for leading companies in healthcare, financial services and other industries, both in the U.S. and abroad.

Ms. Hunter is responsible for general operations, including contract performance, account management and clinical operations. She also oversees operations of Healthways' hospital-based diabetes programs. She has nearly 40 years experience in healthcare.

Mr. Kelliher is responsible for the overall strategy, direction and operations of Healthways International. He is directly involved in developing and expanding care and disease management services to new international markets. Prior to his role, he was co-founder and president of StatusOne Health Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Healthways. He has also held senior leadership positions in the health care industry. He served as the executive director of the Health Centers Division at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts; vice president of quality management at Harvard Community Health Plan; director of management systems engineering at the University of California, San Diego; and senior management consultant at Medicus Systems Corporation. Mr. Kelliher earned his Bachelors of Science from Providence College and his M.B.A. from Roosevelt University.
