Hans K. Fauske is President of Fauske & Associates, LLC, a Westinghouse Electric Company. Since leaving Argonne National Laboratory in 1980 where he served as the first Director of the Fast Reactor Safety Technology Management Center and was responsible for the planning and management of the DOE program, he has been involved in projects covering a wide range of safety issues. He served as a Senior Consultant to the Industry Degraded Core Rulemaking program (IDCOR) and as a Senior Technical Advisor to the Clinch River Breeder Project. He also provided overall technical direction for the AIChE Design Institute for Emergency Relief Systems (DIERS), which was funded by 28 chemical firms in the U.S.A. and abroad. Currently, he is performing a key role in resolving potential safety issues in connection with the waste storage tanks at the Hanford site and the development of inherently safe nuclear and chemical process reactor concepts. Dr. Fauske has published more than 200 scientific articles and holds numerous patents in the areas of nuclear and chemical process safety. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries and the International Journal of Multi-Phase Flow. He has taught at several universities in the U.S.A. and abroad and served as the sixth BASF Renowned Scientist Lecturer from 1989 to 1990. He is a fellow of both the American Nuclear Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In 1975, he became the first person in the field of reactor technology to receive the University of Chicago Medal for Distinguished Performance at Argonne National Laboratory. In 1982, he became the third recipient of the Tommy Thompson Award, the highest honor that the American Nuclear Society bestows in the field of reactor safety. In 1991, he received the ANS Thermal-Hydraulics Division Technical Achievement Award, in 1992 the prestigious AIChE Donald Q. Kern Award for his significant contributions in the area of nuclear and chemical process safety, and in 1996 the AIChE Robert E. Wilson Award in Nuclear Chemical Engineering for his leadership and contributions in developing methods to help assure safety in the nuclear power and chemical process industries.
Dr. Bristow served as the Chemical Engineer for ChitinWorks America, LLC, where he was responsible for the design and operation of the chitosan production plant. Dr. Bristow was also responsible for laboratory analysis of the chitosan to determine the effectiveness of the processing steps, wastewater treatment and safety. Dr. Bristow helped to develop low-cost solutions to certain challenges inherent in the production of chitosan from blue crab shells. In the laboratory, Dr. Bristow established protocols for the analysis of chitosan properties, process solution concentrations and wastewater characteristics. Prior to his tenure with ChitinWorks, Dr. Bristow held a post-doctoral position at the University of Maryland, where he researched methods for producing chitosan. Dr. Bristow received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky specializing in polymer engineering. Dr. Bristow's work has been published in journals and has been presented at regional and national conferences. He received his BS degree in Engineering at the University of Maryland. Dr. Bristow is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Larry Wright, President, has over 35 years of leadership experience in metals and manufacturing industries. A decorated Vietnam War Veteran, he received the Silver Star, five Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart while conducting over 70 air and ground missions as platoon leader. After returning from serving his country, Mr. Wright began his career as a foundry engineer in Dayton, Ohio. He rapidly advanced to the position of Foundry Superintendent, reporting to the President of the company. In 1982 he was given the opportunity to run and turn around a steel foundry in Michigan. This experience was the first in a long series of very successful operational and financial turnarounds in diverse industries. In 1997 he accepted challenges in the sales and marketing as a next step in business recoveries. He also possesses an extensive record as an innovator. He has conducted research and development of flexible coating materials using low molecular weight plastics. Mr. Wright was also involved in developing a new manufacturing process for Westinghouse called UCAP. This manufacturing innovation, which is still in use today, involved expanded gypsum in making acoustical panels for the furniture industry. Larry Wright is a graduate of the University of Dayton, with a degree in Industrial Engineering with minors in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. Larry paid for his college education by working part time jobs. Active in community affairs, he has been awarded the honor of JCI Senator, and outstanding Regional Director of the Ohio Junior Chamber of Commerce. Today he is an active member in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Turnaround Management Association, and SCORE. He has continued his education in Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing competencies.
Maurice is President, Chief Executive Officer, and principal investor in the corporation. He is responsible for business development and customer relations, oversight of operations, and human resources. Maurice has more than 18 years experience in the chemical industry, including large-scale manufacturing, technology development, environmental compliance, managerial, and business intelligence roles at Dow Chemical. His educational foundation includes a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University and a M.B.A., University of Houston, Clear Lake, TX. Dr. Bostick is the technical director for MCLinc. He received a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University (chemistry) and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Georgia (analytical chemistry). He has over 30 years of experience in technical areas that include instrumentation development, separation science, spectroscopy, bioanalytical chemistry, hazardous and radiological waste treatment and waste stabilization, thermal treatment technologies, and regulatory and compliance issues. In 1990, he received a Martin Marietta technical achievement award for "outstanding insight and initiative in individual and leadership contributions in the waste management program," and in 1991, staff members received an R&D100 award for development of a process to recycle electrode-less nickel plating baths. Dr. Bostick has authored or co-authored over 130 publications and formal technical reports, and has three U.S. patents and five government-owned patent applications. He is a recognized expert in uranium chemistry, in-situ stabilization, and nuclear waste treatment.

Charles (Chuck) Davidson has more than 35 years of energy industry experience. He assumed the role of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in April 2009, having first been President and CEO in October 2000. Chuck joined Noble Energy in 2000 after serving as chairman, president and CEO at Vastar Resources, Inc. Darryl Pollica is the Platform Leader of PowerTap , Nuvera's product line for material handling and automotive hydrogen refueling applications. He is also responsible for managing the Process Engineering Group. Darryl has a ten-year history with the company, starting as a consultant in Arthur D. Little's Hydrogen Generation Team, and later as a founding member of the spin-off corporation Epyx, which became Nuvera Fuel Cells in the spring of 2000. Darryl has led several PEMFC development programs in Nuvera, encompassing both distributed power generation (5-75kWeAC) and on-board fuel processing technologies. He has also acted as a Principal Investigator for a U.S. Department of Energy funded program on SMR hydrogen generation. He is cited on four patents ranging from catalytic reactor to fuel cell power plant designs. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mr. Griggs was a practicing chemical engineer in the organic and specialty chemicals industry. He received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1988. Mr. Griggs received his J.D. magna cum laude in 1994 from Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis, where he was an associate editor on the Indiana Law Review. Ed is an operations analyst with fifteen years experience designing games and simulations for what purpose for various government and commercial organizations. Ed's areas of expertise include the design of large-scale seminar games, maritime chemical and biological warfare , air defense what? , operational level military command and control, and humanitarian and disaster response. Edward A. McGee has an extensive international background in gas supply, transportation, and distribution, as well as in the energy, chemical, and process industries. He has coordinated LAI's steady-state and transient flow pipeline modeling efforts, and has assessed network performance and contingency events. Mr. McGee has developed and applied quantitative planning and management techniques, including computer-based simulation and optimization models. He has advised numerous gas utilities and petrochemical companies on energy planning, acquisitions, and operations. Prior to LAI, Mr. McGee was a Vice President/Director at Stone &Webster Management Consultants, Inc. and a Business Development Manager at Stone & Webster Engineering Corp. responsible for world-class chemical and refining complexes. Before that he was Director of Energy Resources for W. R. Grace and worked at AMOCO Oil. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and both his B.S and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. McGee is a licensed professional engineer in Indiana and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Institute of Management Sciences.
Mr. Ericksen received his M.S. degree and B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Mr. Ericksen is also a Registered Patent Attorney and associate partner at Thorpe North & Western. During his undergraduate and graduate education Mr. Ericksen studied a variety of engineering subjects including separations technologies, reactor design, advanced thermodynamics, transport phenomena, chemical kinetics, polymer systems, semiconductor fabrication, fluid mechanics, and process control. In addition, Mr. Ericksen worked as a math lab tutor specializing in engineering math and as an assistant in the Advanced Unit Operations Lab. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. As a graduate student he studied in the field of statistical thermodynamics with a focus in osmotic molecular dynamics. This research involved using UNIX-based computer simulations of chemical mixtures to obtain excess thermodynamic properties via a unique semi-permeable membrane and resulted in a Thesis entitled Activity Coefficients and Excess Properties of Non-polar Binary Mixtures as Predicted by Osmotic Molecular Dynamics. Prior to joining Thorpe North & Western, Mr. Ericksen spent time in Wyoming working on the production of baking soda from raw trona and improving solvent recovery. He also has worked as a volunteer for the Office of Guardian ad Litem in child neglect and custody cases. Mr. Ericksen is admitted to the Utah State Bar and registered to practice before both Utah state and federal courts.
S. Frank Culberson is President and CEO of Rimkus Consulting Group, a 400-person forensic consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Houston. Mr. Culberson became president and chief executive officer of Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc., in 1987. He was previously managing director and chief executive officer of Pace Consultants, Inc., where he had worked since 1966 in a succession of positions including president of Rocky Mountain division, vice president of engineering, and managing partner. He began his career with Shell Oil Company in 1960 as a process engineer and operations coordinator. Mr. Culberson is a 1960 graduate of North Carolina State University with a B.S. in chemical engineering and a 1966 graduate of the University of Houston with an M.B.A. He has extensive experience in the hydrocarbons processing and consuming industries, including economics and feasibility assessments; environmental and toxic/hazardous waste evaluations and solutions; process engineering and operations; computer systems development; venture analysis and commercialization; acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and financial analyses. He has more than 30 years of experience in energy and business consulting, including numerous assignments as principal in charge of major studies and evaluations. He has made numerous high-level presentations and provided expert reports, including expert witness testimony before courts and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Mr. Culberson is a registered professional engineer in Texas and Florida, and he is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Mr. Platt is Vice President of Cobisa Corporation. He joined the firm in April 1994 with over ten years' direct experience in all phases of the development, permitting, engineering, financing, fuel acquisition and marketing management of independent power plants. He has performed these functions on several projects under construction or in development by Cobisa. From 1986 to 1994, Mr. Platt was employed by Enserch Development Corporation ("EDC"), the project development division of ENSERCH Corporation during that time. ENSERCH was a $3 billion Dallas, Texas based company with over 75 years of experience in natural resource acquisition and development, natural gas pipeline operations and energy project development (ENSERCH is now a subsidiary of TXU, Inc.). He held a number of positions at EDC including Director of Proposals and Business Analysis, Project Development Manager and Venture Development Analyst. Prior to joining ioMosaic Corporation, Mr. Ozog was a consultant with Arthur D. Little, Inc. for 21 years, where he managed the process safety consulting business. He also worked for seven years at the DuPont Company as a process and startup engineer. Mr. Ozog is an expert in process safety and risk management, process hazard analysis (HAZOP, FMEA, FTA), and process safety auditing. He has helped numerous companies and governmental agencies identify process risks and implement cost effective mitigation measures. He teaches courses in each of these areas and is also an instructor for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers' Educational Services. Mr. Ozog has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and serves on various sub-committees for them.
Dr. Cooper received his BChE (1958) and MChE (1961) degrees from the City College of New York. After several years of industrial experience he obtained a Doctorate in Engineering Science (1967) from Columbia University , where he specialized in thermodynamics. In addition to his industrial activities, Dr. Cooper is an active member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, most recently having been responsible for developing and chairing the Panel Discussion for the all-day Alternate Energy Symposium. This was offered jointly by the New York Academy of Sciences and the New York sections of the AIChE and the American Chemical Society, in November 2006. He had also been Chair of the AIChE's Long Island Section and taught graduate chemical engineering courses at Columbia University and Polytechnic University . Currently, he is a member of the AIChE, the Societe de Chimie Industrielle (American Section) and the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Cooper has served his community as a publicly elected trustee and has been President of the Jericho , NY , Public Library for many years.
J. Michael (Mike) Jesionowski has in depth refinery planning, design and revamp experience based on a long-term career at the Sunoco Toledo, Ohio refinery, his refinery process/project work completed during a 3 year contract period in Lima, Ohio and subsequent assignments as a Becht Advisor. Mike is an expert in energy conservation, process engineering and strategic planning.
Jack A Pankoff, Sr, a KBC Executive Vice President, has over 30 years of experience in consulting and educating corporate executives, plant managers, and staff personnel in leading and managing process plant operations. He has worked with clients including ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Shell Oil, BP, Valero, HOVENSA, Celanese, Occidental, DuPont, Nova Chemicals, Petronas, Aramco, and many other refining, petrochemical, and chemical companies throughout the world. Mr Pankoff is also a former regional manager of the Olin Chemical Corporation. He holds an MBA, and he is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Training and Development, and the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Mr. Kleinfeld is the founder of Kleinfeld Technical Services, Inc., emphasizing IR thermography, finite element analysis and process engineering as tools to help clients improve their operations, profitability and quality. KTS builds on his unique ability to combine the benefits of these disciplines for the benefit of clients. Mr. Kleinfeld was previously employed in a senior technical position on the corporate technical staff of the Champion International Corporation, previously the St. Regis Paper Company. He is a licensed chemical engineer with over 28 years of varied experience in process analysis, steam and power systems, process simulation, process troubleshooting and improvement, finite element analysis, thermography, computer applications, pulp and paper technology, database application and design, and image analysis and use. He has a proven track record of innovation, creativity, analytical ability, consulting, and insight. James L. Hambrick is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of The Lubrizol Corporation. Mr. Hambrick joined Lubrizol as a co-operative education student in 1973 and was hired full time in 1978. His career has encompassed a variety of responsible positions in operations, marketing, technology and business development. During the 1990s, Mr. Hambrick led market development activities in the former Soviet Union and China. He was elected vice president of Asia Pacific in April 2000, president in January 2003, chief executive officer in April 2004 and chairman of the board in January 2005.
He received a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1978. One year of commissioning experience with Raytheon Badger Ethyl benzene / Styrene plants in Asia. Seven years (7) Ethylene experience: four years in Louisiana and three years in Malaysia with the Westlake / Titan Group. Three years (3) of distillation design experience as the Asia Pacific Technology Manager for Sulzer Chemtech, a specialty distillation company and General Manager for KLM Technology Group. Prior to joining Biomerix, Larry was Vice President of Manufacturing for Crest Foam Industries Incorporated where he was responsible for the development and production of innovative reticulated urethane materials and the processes to manufacture them. Larry is a senior member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Lee Tharps currently works in the Bureau of Safe Drinking Water at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. His main responsibilities include reviewing permits for additions and alterations to public water systems. His specific work is in water resources. Prior he worked with the Center for Advanced Fuel Technology in Pittsburgh where he compiled kinetic rate data and processed materials for use in experimentation. With extensive experience in the development industry and the oil and gas sector, Nabih has led the Intergulf team through continuous growth and innovative projects. He currently serves as a director for two publicly traded companies, Penn West Petroleum Ltd. and Result Energy Inc.
Olan W. (Wayne) Mitchell was most recently the Senior Vice President, Technology and Business Development for Fagen, Inc., where he was instrumental in the development, financing and construction of over 50 fuel ethanol plants with 3.5 billion gallons per year aggregate capacity. Mr. Mitchell, who is a registered professional engineer in thirteen states and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Georgopoulos is Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Community Medicine of UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and of the Graduate Faculty of Rutgers University. His CRESP research activities include mathematical modeling of exposure and dose for DOE site risk characterization. He directs the Computational Chemodynamics Laboratory of the Exposure Assessment Division of the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute. He is a member of the Air and Waste Management Association, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the I.E.E.E. Computer Society, the International Society of Exposure Analysis, the Society for Risk Analysis, and other organizations. He has received various awards including the Haagen-Smit Fellowship/Tyler Ecology Award, and a Society of Toxicology Best Presentation in Risk Assessment Award. He is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of the Air and Waste Management Association.
Paul E. Koch is an associate professor of engineering at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. He received the B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1972 from the University of Detroit and the Ph.D. in Plastics Engineering in 1996 from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. Dr. Koch received the Special Achievement Award from the Northwest Pennsylvania Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers in recognition of the establishment of a student section for the organization in 1988. He was named the Man of the Year for the Northwest Pennsylvania Chapter of Society of Plastics Engineers in December 1991. He was granted the first SPE Certification for Writing Certification Exam in 1998. Dr. Koch is a member of the Pyrotechnic Guild International, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Society of Plastics Engineers. Dr. Koch came to Penn State Behrend after working for Standard Oil Company's Research Center and the Energy Conversion Devices Department. He also worked at Associated Enterprises/3M and Avery International's Fasson Division. Dr. Koch presently serves as the director of the Plastics Service Network, a consulting company which he founded in addition to his teaching responsibilities.

Dr. Mohapatra has been the President of Dynalene Inc since May 2006. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President of Engineering at Dynalene for about 5 years. He has over 14 years of experience in designing and developing thermal fluids such as low temperature heat transfer fluids, secondary refrigerants for supermarkets, and cooling fluids for electronics and fuel cells as well as nanofluids. He received his B.Tech. (1990) and M.Tech. (1992) degrees in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Ph.D. (1997) in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, PA. Dr. Tauseef Salma is the Director for Commercial Development Group at Baker Petrolite, a subsidiary of Baker Hughes. Baker Petrolite is an industry leader in the specialty chemicals servicing the energy sector. Tauseef is responsible for accelerated development of new technologies for both upstream and downstream segments. She has over 11 years of oilfield experience. Tauseef did her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore and is winner of Qauid-e-Azam Gold Medal 1992. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University , Houston . She has authored and co-authored over 17 technical publications and holds 2 U.S. patents. Bill is well recognized authority on catalysts. He has worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Company, Air Products and Chemicals, and Oxy Catalyst, Inc., and has been an independent consultant for over 20 years. Since 1981 he has been an industry advisor for a chemical plant design course at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the inventor or co-inventor of 22 patents on technology licensed to a Fortune 100 company for the manufacture of catalytic converters for automobiles, gas turbines and other emission sources. The converters have been in commercial production since 1987. He has received several SBIR and DOE awards in his career, and has numerous publications.

Bennett O. Okoh is a Principal in the Houston office of LECG, LLC. He is a chemical engineer with over 25 years experience in the Petroleum and Chemical industries. He has consulted for private and national Oil & Gas companies in developing economies in the areas of production planning, strategic planning, natural gas plant feasibility studies, and gas utilization projects. Mr. Okoh has also worked for major Oil & Gas companies, and major chemical companies, with management and supervisory responsibilities. Mr. Okoh has participated in and led multi-discipline teams on regulatory compliance issues in the areas of process safety, and environmental regulations. He has performed a number of process risk analysis and process safety audits of petrochemical manufacturing facilities. Mr. Okoh earned a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Science (Summa cum Laude) degree in Chemical Engineering from Howard University, Washington, D.C. D. E. (Dave) Kepler is senior vice president of Shared Services, Environment, Health and Safety and chief information officer (CIO) of The Dow Chemical Company. In this capacity, Kepler has global responsibility for Customer Service, Information Systems, Purchasing, Six Sigma, Supply Chain, Work Process Improvement, and the Company's Environment, Health and Safety activities and has executive oversight for Dowa s activities in Canada. He is also a member of the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE). Kepler joined Dow in 1975 in the Western Division Computer and Process Systems group. After progressive Commercial and Information Systems roles throughout the United States, Canada and the Pacific, he was named director of Chemicals and Plastics Information Systems in 1993. In 1995, Kepler assumed additional responsibility as director of Global Information Systems Applications. He was appointed vice president and CIO in February 1998, and in 2000, assumed the role of corporate vice president of eBusiness. In 2002, Kepler undertook commercial responsibility for the Advanced Electronic Materials business and further expanded his role the following year, adding responsibility for Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. Kepler assumed his role as corporate vice president of Shared Services and chief information officer (CIO) in January 2004. He was appointed senior vice president in March 2006 and added additional responsibilities for Company's Environment, Health and Safety activities. Kepler serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Dr. Tsao is Chief Scientist. Prior to joining IBC, Dr. Tsao oversaw the acquisition, licensing, staffing and scientific and regulatory guidance on cell culture, purification and development strategies for a large-scale cell cure manufacturing facility through his ownership of Bioprocess Consulting, Inc. In addition, Tsao evaluated business opportunities in bio-processing supply-chain management and headed an educational forum on biotech process development. In these roles, Dr. Tsao developed scale-up and large scale manufacturing and fermentation processes; evaluated in-licensing opportunities; designed and start-up of biotech facilities, processes, planning and management. In 1986 1992, Dr. Tsao was a Senior Research Scientist for R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute and a consultant for the Michgan Biotechnology Institute. Dr. Tsao received his B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering (1982) from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan; M.S.E. in Chemical Engineering (1985) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Michigan: and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (1988) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Michigan. Henry Groppe founded Groppe, Long & Littell in 1955. He has 55 years of experience in the oil, natural gas and petrochemical industries, including positions with Arabian American Oil Company, Dow Chemical, Monsanto and Texaco. Dr. Collura joined the faculty of the University of New Haven in September of 1987 as Director of the new Chemical Engineering Program. He guided the program through its initial ABET accreditation in 1994, resulting in full accreditation. He has been department chair since September 1993. Prior to joining the UNH faculty, he taught at Lafayette College. Dr. Collura's industrial experience includes research in coal liquefaction and wastewater treatment as well as process development for chemicals manufacturing. His current interests include computer applications in chemical engineering, modeling and control of processes, fuel cells and biomedical applications. Working in environmental control since 1990, Oscar Ruiz Carmona was responsible for designing, installing, and commissioning several water and waste water plants through SARCO Consultores Profesionales S.A. de C.V. and presently serves as the general manager of STAGS, an enterprise for environmental control mainly involved with waste water treatment and oily residues management. In Mexico, he has participated in a tanneries pilot plant for Tanneries Asociacion Nacional de Curtidores (ANACU); waste water plants for oily waters for various clients in Puebla and Queretaro; various waste water plants for textile laundries in Puebla; and sewage treatment plants for clients in Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla, and Queretaro. Recently he has been developing some innovative designs for small waste water systems, both for domestic and industrial applications, using aerobic, biological filter, and physical chemical treatments. Early in his career, Carmona worked at the Instituto Mexicano de Petroleo (IMP).In 1967 he stared there process design, later moving to project engineering administration and environmental project design. He's also made important contributions in natural gas treatment, LP gas liquefaction, crude/gas separation, gas dehydration, crude and light hydrocarbon distillation and waste-water treatment. Various PEMEX plants apply this technology. On its 50th Foundation Anniversary, PEMEX honored Carmona with First Prize of the Petroleum Technological Development and he was give the Chevalier de L'Ordre du Merite by the French Republic. An process engineering and design expert, Carmona is registered in El Colegio Nacional de Ingenieros Quimicos y Quimicos (CONIQ) and has been a member of the Organizaciones Profesionales Nacionales board of directors. Currently, he is an active member of Instituto Mexicano de Ingenieros Quimicos (IMIQ), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), and Water Environment Federation (WEF). Carmona has graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Autonoma de Mexico (with a first) and a masters in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Mass Transfer from the University of London at the Imperial College. Roberto Rovere is a Chemical Engineer with a professional background in petrochemical and gasification plant design and process engineering. He also has experience in corporate and strategic planning and sales. Mr. Rovere served as a design engineer for the clean energy from coal gasification facility at Cool Water, California for the Texaco Development Corporation. He has also served as a member of the Snamprogetti S.p.A engineering staff. There, he was responsible for design and process engineering of fertilizer and hydrogen plants and turnkey plant developments for fertilizer and petrochemical facilities. He has extensive experience in process design, project scheduling, facility erection and startup, as well as commercial bid negotiations. Mr. Rovere has also served in senior management with Enichem Americas. As manager of New Products and Technology in the United States, he was responsible for strategic planning, sales, and negotiation of joint ventures for specialty chemicals, engineering plastics, rubber and detergent intermediates. Mr. Rovere received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy in 1975. He also has a Master's Degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, and is a Certified Professional Engineer in Europe and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Mr. W. Michael Birmingham, CCE is a Project Manager with The Duggan Rhodes Group. Mr. Birmingham specializes in construction claim services, including scheduling and damage analysis on construction projects of all sizes. His experience include his role as a Project Manager for a $15 million dollar contractor claim relating to the construction of a combined cycle power plant. Mr. Birmingham's experience also includes work for the owner in the analysis of a $10 million dollar claim relating to the construction of a continuous galvanizing steel mill. During these projects, Mr. Birmingham reviewed the contract and project schedules, prepared time impact schedule analyses and calculated the cost of labor inefficiencies. Mr. Birmingham's prior experience includes work as a Project Engineer with Bayer Corporation in Pittsburgh and Baytown, TX. Mr. Birmingham graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Birmingham is a Certified Cost Engineer, a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and a member of the Construction Financial Management Association.
William F. Banholzer is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of The Dow Chemical Company, located in Midland, Michigan. He is a member of Dow’s Executive Leadership Committee, Dow’s Management Committee, chairs the company’s Innovation Committee, and leads Dow’s research and development activities across the globe. Banholzer serves on Dow’s Venture Capital Board, Dow AgroSciences' Members Committee, the Dow Foundation, and the governing Council of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Dow Corning Corporation and serves on that Board’s Corporate Responsibility Committee.
Prior to Dow, Banholzer had a 22-year career with General Electric Company (GE), where he was vice president of Global Technology at GE Advanced Materials, responsible for worldwide technology and engineering.
He joined GE in 1983 as a staff chemical engineer in the company’s Corporate Research and Development Laboratory. In 1989, he led GE R&D Center's chemical vapor deposition material program and later was promoted to laboratory manager for Advanced Inorganic Materials. In 1992, Banholzer transferred to GE's Superabrasives business, where he held numerous management positions culminating in responsibility for the division's worldwide engineering and quality efforts. Banholzer was elected a company officer and moved to GE Lighting as vice president of Global Engineering in 1997. In 1999 he transferred to GE’s Advanced Materials business as the vice president of global technology, leading a worldwide team responsible for process and product engineering, new capacity technology and product quality initiatives. During his GE career, Banholzer was honored with GE’s Bronze, Silver, and Gold Patent Awards; GE Superabrasives’ Leadership Award; GE Plastics’ CEO Six Sigma Award; and election to the Whitney Gallery of Technical Achievers.
In 2002, Banholzer was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, one of the highest distinctions that can be accorded an engineer. He is one of only 105 active chemical engineers elected to the prestigious institution, which honors those who have made "important contributions to engineering theory and practice" or demonstrated "unusual accomplishment in the pioneering of new and developing fields of technology." In 2006 he was elected by the Academy membership to serve as one of 12 councillors comprising the governing body of the NAE.
Banholzer serves as a presidential nominee to the MIT Corporation Visiting Committee for the Departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He also sits on the advisory board for chemistry and chemical engineering at UC Berkeley, is a member of the American Chemical Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Banholzer earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Marquette University and master’s and doctorate degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, holds 16 U.S. patents and has over 80 publications, which have received more than 1000 citations, for his work in the field of engineering and chemistry.
