Larry Wright, President, has over 35 years of leadership experience in metals and manufacturing industries. A decorated Vietnam War Veteran, he received the Silver Star, five Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart while conducting over 70 air and ground missions as platoon leader. After returning from serving his country, Mr. Wright began his career as a foundry engineer in Dayton, Ohio. He rapidly advanced to the position of Foundry Superintendent, reporting to the President of the company. In 1982 he was given the opportunity to run and turn around a steel foundry in Michigan. This experience was the first in a long series of very successful operational and financial turnarounds in diverse industries. In 1997 he accepted challenges in the sales and marketing as a next step in business recoveries. He also possesses an extensive record as an innovator. He has conducted research and development of flexible coating materials using low molecular weight plastics. Mr. Wright was also involved in developing a new manufacturing process for Westinghouse called UCAP. This manufacturing innovation, which is still in use today, involved expanded gypsum in making acoustical panels for the furniture industry. Larry Wright is a graduate of the University of Dayton, with a degree in Industrial Engineering with minors in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. Larry paid for his college education by working part time jobs. Active in community affairs, he has been awarded the honor of JCI Senator, and outstanding Regional Director of the Ohio Junior Chamber of Commerce. Today he is an active member in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Turnaround Management Association, and SCORE. He has continued his education in Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing competencies.
