Olin Robison is President Emeritus of Middlebury College and President Emeritus of the Salzburg Seminar. In 1991 Dr. Robison assumed the presidency of the Salzburg Seminar, an international educational organization based at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, Austria. During his 14 year leadership higher education became a key area of the Seminar's work. The College's endowment grew from $32 million in 1975 to $217 million in 1989, faculty salaries improved dramatically, and the faculty/student ratio improved from 1:15 to 1:12. Dr. Robison is a graduate of Baylor University and Oxford University. He began his career in Washington, serving in the leadership of the Peace Corps and in the State Department.
