Gas is good! AmeriGas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APU), based in King of Prussia, PA, distributes propane and related equipment and supplies. It also services heating and fuel systems for vehicles using propane. It serves 1.3 million residential, commercial, industrial, motor fuels and agricultural users from more than 650 distribution centers in nearly 50 states. Its principal suppliers are Dynegy Inc., Enterprise Products Operating LP, and British Petroleum. The company has approximately 22,000 retail partners in its PPX cylinder exchange business, mainly home centers, convenience stores and supermarkets. For the twelve months ended September 30, 2005, retail propane volumes sold were 1.035 billion gallons. In fiscal 2005, the company acquired six companies, four of which were propane marketers that added more than 10 million gallons in annual volume and two were purchased to complement its PPX business, adding cylinder exchange outlets and expanding cylinder refurbishing operations. Founded in 1994, the company has revenue of $2 billion and employs over 6,000 people.

Marvin O. Schlanger was elected Director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company on June 29, 2005. Mr. Grady joined Heritage in June 2006 following the acquisition of Titan Propane Partners where he served as COO since January 2005. Prior to joining Titan, Mr. Grady was CEO of Juice Bowl Products, Inc., a business started by his family, which he sold in 2004. From 1995 until 2003, Mr. Grady worked in senior operating positions at AmeriGas Propane; including its Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President from 2000 to 2003, and Vice President of Sales and Operations from 1995-2000. Before joining AmeriGas, Mr. Grady was Vice President of Corporate Development for UGI, Inc. He also spent five years as Director of Business Development for Campbell's Soup Company. Mr. Grady earned a B.A. in Marketing at Stetson University and a J.D. from Stetson College of Law. He is a founding council member of the Propane Education and Research Council and served two terms ending in 2003.
