Susan R. Nowakowski joined the Company in 1990 and has been a director since September 2003. She serves as a member of the Company’s Executive Committee and has been the Company’s President since May 2003 and the Chief Executive Officer since May 2005. Ms. Nowakowski has been employed at AMN in a variety of leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, since 1990. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Nowakowski worked at BioVest Partners, a venture capital firm, and at Hybritech, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly & Co. which was later acquired by Beckman Coulter. Ms. Nowakowski is a highly respected business leader with experience in healthcare services, life sciences and venture capital, and serves on the board of directors of Beckman Coulter (NYSE: BEC), the University of California San Diego Sulpizio Family Cardiovascular Center, Biocom and San Diego State University College of Business Administration. She served on the board of Playtex Products, Inc. (NYSE:PYX) from 2001 until they were sold to Energizer Holdings (NYSE: ENR) in October 2007 and was chair of the audit committee.

Bruce Carothers joined the Company as Chief Technology Officer in November 2001, with responsibility for all information technology functions. Bruce previously worked for San Diego-based technology firms Alitum (CTO, 2000-2001), Motiva Software (CEO, 1995-1999) and 4GT (CTO and COO, 1989-1994). At these firms, he launched new products in use by thousands of customers today, negotiated strategic partnerships with firms such as Autodesk and Microsoft Great Plains, and led successful merger and acquisition efforts. Marcia Faller, RN, MSN, joined AMN Healthcare in 1989. Currently Marcia serves as Executive Vice President, Operations, and the Company's Chief Clinical Officer. In this role in which she has served since 2004, she is responsible for the clinical quality, competency and continuing education of all healthcare providers represented by the company. Between 1989 and 2004, as Sr. Vice President and Vice President, Ms. Faller has been responsible for human resources and information technology, as well as sales and service divisions. Prior to joining AMN, Ms. Faller was in management and staff positions in nurse recruitment operations for Sharp Memorial Hospital. Stephen Wehn joined the Company in 1993 and has been Senior Vice President of Corporate Development since December 2004. Hala G. Moddelmog, age 53, has served as a director of the Company since February 7, 2008.
