Mr. Treadwell is responsible for AmREIT's financial reporting function as well as for assisting in the setting and execution of AmREIT's strategic financial initiatives. He oversees the company's filings with the Securities & Exchange Commission, its periodic internal reporting to management and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Mr. Treadwell has more than 17 years of accounting, financial, and SEC reporting experience. Prior to joining AmREIT in 2004, he served as a senior manager with Arthur Andersen LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. He has provided extensive audit services, regularly dealt with both debt and equity offerings for publicly traded and privately owned clients in various industries and has strong experience with SEC reporting and registration statements and offerings. Mr. Treadwell regularly mentored and coached firm personnel and was named as a Connectivity Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers' Houston office.

Mr. Braun joined AmREIT in 1999, and has led the firm’s growth from $100 million in assets to approaching $1 billion in real estate assets. Tenel Tayar serves as our senior vice president of real estate acquisitions. His responsibilities include overseeing all acquisitions for existing retail properties. While at AmREIT, Mr. Tayar has sourced, negotiated and closed over $500 million in real estate transactions. Mr. Tayar has 14 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining AmREIT, he served as the director of finance at The Woodlands Operating Company where he directed commercial property dispositions, construction financing and permanent financing of over $225 million in real estate transactions and participated in over $500 million. Mr. Tayar received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Tayar is a Texas licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, and Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals.

Mr. Scoville leads the leasing and property management team for AmREIT’s property and advisory portfolio. In that capacity, he supervises a team of leasing and property management professionals who are dedicated to enhancing the value of AmREIT properties on a daily basis.
Prior to joining AmREIT, Mr. Scoville was vice president of leasing for the Southwest Region of New Plan Excel Realty Trust, one of the nation’s largest retail REITs. In that capacity, he was responsible for all leasing activities for a portfolio of over 100 shopping centers in seven states. Mr. Scoville began his commercial real estate career in 1980 as a project leasing agent for a Texas-based shopping center development firm. Since then, he has been active in the industry in various roles including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and property management in addition to leasing.

David M. Thailing. Mr. Thailing serves as the managing vice president of securities. Mr. Thailing is responsible for raising non-traded private

Gina M. Riepel serves as the vice president of securities and is responsible for key account relationships for AmREIT's investment programs. Mrs. Riepel has over fifteen years of experience in sales and marketing in the financial investment industry. Prior to joining AmREIT she served as a National Account Manager for AIM Investments Inc. As a national account manager she was responsible for prospecting, developing and maintaining relationships at the senior management level of regional broker dealers, financial institutions and third party marketing firms. Mrs. Riepel received her Bachelors of Business Administration from University of St. Thomas and holds her Series 6, 63 and 65 securities license. She has also received the Charter Mutual Funds Counselor certification.

Mr. Lax leads the team responsible for technical due diligence and construction management activities for the Company's real estate endeavors with offices in Dallas and in Houston.
Mr. Lax has gained nationwide experience in retail commercial development and construction. Jeff Noblin serves as a sales manager for AmREIT's western region. John Anderson. Mr. Anderson serves as our managing vice president of real estate asset management. He is responsible for overseeing AmREIT s property sales and asset management activities and for developing and executing the disposition strategy for each property. In addition, he analyzes property performance, market conditions, and future economic benefits for all properties under management to determine optimal disposition strategies. Mr. Anderson has over seven years of experience in real estate investment, development, management, and acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining us in 2004, he handled all dispositions for Fairfield Residential, a large multi-family developer based in Dallas, Texas. In addition, Mr. Anderson gained real estate investment experience as an associate with The Archon Group, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs, where he was involved in the acquisition, management and disposition of multi-family assets. Mr. Anderson received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management from Baylor University and subsequently earned his Masters of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin. He holds a Texas real estate salesman license and is an associate member of the Dallas Real Estate Council and the McCombs School of Business Center for Real Estate Finance. Mr. Lindsey is responsible for AmREIT's real estate development activities including those related to redevelopment of existing assets and development of new projects.
Mr. Lindsey brings almost 30 years of multifaceted experience in real estate including the development, finance, leasing and management disciplines and spanning the retail, multifamily, land development and mixed use product types. During the course of his career, he has been involved in projects totaling more than $600 million.
Prior to joining AmREIT, he was the Vice President of Development & Finance for Sueba USA Corporation, a full service real estate development firm based in Houston that concentrated in multifamily and land development. Mr. Lindsey began his career as a CPA with Peat Marwick, Mitchell (predecessor to KPMG) with an emphasis in tax structuring of real estate development projects. After Peat Marwick, Mitchell, he joined a real estate client of the firm and embarked upon his career in real estate development.

Stephen Hefner serves as our vice president of real estate, focusing on our activities in the North Texas area. He is responsible for growing the region and the handling of all projects in the region by providing his extensive background in acquisitions, asset management, development and dispositions. With over 17 years of real estate experience, Mr. Hefner has been directly responsible for well-over $1 billion in acquisitions and has overseen approximately $500 million in asset management projects. Prior to his role at AmREIT, he was the vice president and head of acquisitions/dispositions for Cencor Realty Services and The Weitzman Group in Dallas, Texas. While there, he was involved in approximately $100 million in retail acquisitions and $150 million of retail dispositions. In addition, Mr. Hefner served as vice president of Olympus Real Estate Corporation, a Hicks Muse company, where he focused on the acquisition and asset management of all types of income-producing and self-liquidating real estate properties. Mr. Hefner received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in corporate finance from the University of North Texas. He is active in The Real Estate Council in Dallas and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Chris Nichols serves as a manager of construction to our real estate team. He manages development, construction, and renovation projects associated with acquired AmREIT properties. G. Steven Dawson, age 50, has served as our director since January 11, 2005 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Dawson was previously a member of the compensation committee and nominating and corporate governance committee for Sunset Financial Resources, Inc. and was also the chairman of the special committee in connection with our merger with AFT. Mr. Dawson is currently director and chief financial officer of Desert Capital REIT, Inc. (public but non-listed), a Las Vegas-based commercial mortgage REIT, and managing director of Sandstone Equity Investors, LLC, the outside advisor of Desert Capital REIT, Inc. He also serves on the board of directors of AmREIT, Inc. (AMEX: AMY), a Houston-based owner and developer of retail properties (chairman of the audit committee; member of the compensation committee and nominating and governance committee), Medical Properties Trust (NYSE: MPW), a Birmingham, Alabama-based REIT specializing in the ownership of acute care facilities and related medical properties (chairman of the audit committee) and American Campus Communities (NYSE: ACC), an Austin-based equity REIT focused on student housing (chairman of the audit committee; member of the compensation committee). H. L. Hank Rush, Jr. Mr. Rush, age 57, has been a trust manager of AmREIT since 2006 and currently serves as our Lead Independent Trust Manager. In 2008, Mr. Rush was appointed to serve as the President and CEO of The Star of Hope Mission, Houston s 102 year old mission to Houston s homeless. This role answers a life-long desire to serve in full-time ministry while utilizing the business skills developed in his professional life. Mr. Rush formerly served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, President and CEO of various subsidiaries, and a member of the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of PropertyInfo Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. from 2005 to 2008. This corporation provides real estate information and online software tools for the title, realtor, lender, builder/developer and government sectors of the real estate industry. He has over 20 years of senior executive and start-up management experience in IT development and outsourcing, residential and commercial construction and energy. Prior to joining PropertyInfo Corporation, Mr. Rush served as chairman and co-founder of EC Power, Inc. for ten years, an internet transaction services company. In addition, he founded and served for eight years as President and Chief Executive Officer of a high-end residential construction company in Houston and served as a senior executive with BMC Software, Inc., where he managed the initial phase of BMC s new headquarters land acquisition and construction. Texas Eastern Corp., now a part of Duke Energy, was his professional home for almost 17 years prior to his move to BMC. Stephanie King serves as Asset Manager for the real estate team. She also handles all dispositions for existing assets owned by AmREIT and its subsidiary funds. Mrs. King has over eight years of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining AmREIT, she was an Investment Analyst with NorthMarq Capital. She was responsible for underwriting commercial loans and managing each deal through closing. Mrs. King began her career with Arthur Andersen where she was involved in real estate valuation and consulting. Mrs. King earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University and subsequently earned her Masters in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. She is a member of CREW, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders and the Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals.

Trey Vick serves as Project Manager for our General Contracting Division. He manages development, construction, and renovation projects associated with acquired AmREIT properties and third party construction opportunities. Mr. Vick has experience both in project management and real estate. Prior to joining AmREIT, he started a custom homebuilding company based in the greater Houston Area. He has business development, project estimating, and account development experience. Mr. Vick received a Bachelor's Degree in Resource and Environmental Science from Texas State University. He is a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Anne Newtown serves as our General Counsel. She is responsible for overseeing and managing the legal affairs of the company to ensure the availability of competent, timely, and cost efficient legal services. In addition, she is responsible for working with outside counsel to communicate and monitor policies to ensure compliance with law within the company. Ms. Newtown has over nineteen years of experience in the practice of law with a primary focus on real estate. Prior to joining AmREIT, she was with Vinson & Elkins, LLP, a Houston-based international law firm, where she represented clients in all aspects of real estate law. Ms. Newtown received an Associate of Arts degree in liberal arts from Stephens College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Colorado (Phi Beta Kappa), and subsequently earned her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Houston Real Estate Lawyers Council, and is a founding member of the Houston chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women. She has served as Chair of the Planning Committee for the South Texas College of Law Real Estate Law Seminar in 2005 and 2006, and is currently serving as Chair of the 2007 Planning Committee. She is a member of the Alumnae Assoociation Board for Stephens College.

Neal Wade is a leasing associate for the AmREIT real estate team. His responsibilities include the leasing of new developments and redevelopment projects in Houston and surrounding areas. This includes conducting market research, preparing prospect lists and generating a void analysis. Prior to joining AmREIT, Mr. Wade worked with HSC Realty and Amegy Bank where he gained experience in market analysis, property management and underwriting. While at Amegy Bank, Neal was also an analyst in the real estate, energy and commercial banking sectors. Mr. Wade received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the George Bush School at Texas A&M University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute.
