Joseph G. Gerardi became our Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in March 2004, served as our Vice President, Controller since 1996 and, from 1992 to 1996, was our Plant Controller. From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Gerardi was the Controller of Mallinckrodt Medical, Inc.'s anesthesiology plant. Before joining Mallinckrodt Medical, Mr. Gerardi was employed by Factron/Schlumberger for over five years as Manager of Consolidations and as a cost accountant. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany, a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Finance from the State University of New York College of Technology at Utica, and an Associates in Applied Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Cobleskill.

D. Joseph Gersuk became a member of the Ellis Hospital Board of Trustees in June 2004. Currently, he serves as chairman of the board. He also serves as chairman of the board's Executive and Joint Conference Committees, and as a member of the Audit, Finance, Governance and Executive Compensation Committees and the Investment Subcommittee. His career has spanned 25 years in the private sector, primarily in the field of finance. Currently, Mr. Gersuk is the chief financial officer for AngioDynamics, Inc., a leading provider of innovative medical devices used by interventional radiologists, surgeons, and other physicians for the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of cancer and peripheral vascular disease. AngioDynamics, which is based in Queensbury, NY, is a NASDAQ-listed public company with a total market capitalization of more than $400 million. Previously, Mr. Gersuk was chief executive officer of ReQuest Multimedia, a Malta, NY company that develops and sells digital media servers for the home entertainment market. He also served as chief financial officer of three technology companies: Stavely NDT Technologies, a quality assurance company headquartered in Bethel, CT; DataEase Sapphire International, a database software company in Trumball, CT; and MapInfo Corporation, a Troy, NY company that develops and distributes PC-based spatial visualization software and solutions. After graduating from The United States Naval Academy, Mr. Gersuk served as a naval officer for five years, during which time he earned a M.B.A. in finance from The American University and achieved the rank of lieutenant. Mr. Gersuk also is a community volunteer. He has provided leadership to various community organizations, including The Albany Academy for Girls in Albany, NY, where he currently serves as a trustee, treasurer and Finance Committee chair. Mr. Gersuk is a past director of American Bio Medical Corporation in Kinderhook, NY, and a former Treasurer of the Schuyler Meadows Club in Loudonville, NY.

Business Development Senior Vice President David McDonald has more than 27 years of equity research, investment management and banking experience, with particular expertise in strategically analyzing long-term growth prospects for medical technology companies. Before joining AngioDynamics, Mr. McDonald was most recently president of Cornerstone Healthcare Advisors, an advisory and consulting services practice he founded in April 2005. He spent seven years in investment banking before founding Cornerstone, working as managing director and head of medical technology investment banking with Cain Brothers & Company, and prior to that as managing director of RBC Capital Markets’ medical technology investment banking practice. During his tenure with RBC, Mr. McDonald worked as the lead on AngioDynamics’ initial public offering, which raised approximately $24.6 million in May 2004. He has a B.A. in economics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.

Dennis S. Meteny, age 55, joined our board of directors in March 2004. In 2006, Mr. Meteny was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Cygnus Manufacturing Company LLC, a privately held manufacturer of minimally and non-invasive medical device products, health and safety components, and high precision transportation, aerospace and industrial products. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Meteny was an Executive-in-Residence at the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, a strategic economic development initiative of the University of Pittsburgh Health System, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, the State of Pennsylvania and local foundations. From 2001 to 2003, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of TissueInformatics, Inc., a privately held company engaged in the medical imaging business. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Meteny was a business consultant to various technology companies. Prior to that, Mr. Meteny spent 15 years in several executive-level positions, including as President and Chief Executive Officer, from 1994 to 1999, of Respironics, Inc. a cardio-pulmonary medical device company. Mr. Meteny began his career in 1975 with Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Meteny holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Charles Orsatti joined the AngioDynamics Board in October 2008. Mr. Orsatti has served in leadership positions with several healthcare and medical technology companies and currently serves on the Board of Directors of two other companies in the healthcare industry. During his 20 years in senior level positions in both public and private companies, Mr. Orsatti has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Medical Products Corporation, Chief Operating Officer of Glasrock Home Health Care, President of Ohmeda Medical Engineering Division of British Oxygen Corporation, and Chief Executive Officer of Coloplast. In addition, Mr. Orsatti has served on the Board of Directors of dj Orthopedics, LLC and Vitagen, Inc. and currently serves on the Board of Directors of SRI Surgical, Inc. and Gyntec, Inc. He has also been Chairman and Managing Partner of J.P. Morgan Fairfield Partners, a private equity firm, and currently is Chairman and Managing Partner of Fairfield Partners, which is also a private equity firm. Mr. Orsatti earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University.

Mr. Casciaro joined GSI in February 1995 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in January 1996, and then to President and Chief Operating Officer in August 1997. In April 1998 Greg was named Chief Executive Officer, and continues as President. Prior to joining GSI, Mr. Casciaro held various positions at Devices for Vascular Intervention, Inc., a medical device manufacturer, including Vice President of Sales, from June 1991 to February 1995. Previously, Mr. Casciaro held various sales positions at North American Instrument Corporation, a medical device company, from March 1983 to May 1991. Mr. Casciaro received a B.S. degree in Business Administration at Marquette University.

Paul J. Shea has served as our Vice President, Sales, since 1997 and from 1991 to 1997 held positions as our National Sales Manager, Director of U.S. Sales and Director of World Wide Sales. Before joining us, from 1985 to 1991, Mr. Shea held various sales and marketing positions including Product Manager, Regional Manager and National Sales Manager at Microvasive, Inc., a division of Boston Scientific. From 1978 to 1984, Mr. Shea was employed by American Hospital Supply Corporation where he held several positions, including Sales Representative, Business Analyst, Product Manager and Market Manager. Mr. Shea holds a Masters of Business Administration from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross.
