The Anomatic process was the first automated belt conveyor system built for high speed, high volume anodizing of small aluminum parts. Anomatic Corporation was founded in Chicago, Illinois by William C. Rusch in 1965. The basis of Anomatic Corporation was "The Anomatic System", which featured a continuous titanium belt, patented in 1967. By 1970, expanding markets for the Anomatic system required increased capacity to be built. The growth of the company continued and in 1990 Anomatic Corporation moved to a new, state-of-the-art facility in Newark, Ohio, 30 miles east of Columbus.
