Dow Jones Description
Anystream was started by Geoff Allen, a true visionary who recognized the future of media distribution well before its time. Of course, history doesn't mean anything unless it enables you to stay ahead in the future. And that's just what's happened. Today, Anystream has over 700 media clients. We're the global leader, because we're the only ones who truly deliver a solution for the full media life cycle, a journey from coding, to managing multiple release windows, to ad campaign management and DRM. Our relationship with our clients is a fundamentally simple one: You create the content. We create the platform to turn that content into opportunity. Anystream. Turning video streams into revenue streams.

Fred Singer is an internet pioneer and part of a small class of successful executives who have played roles in shaping the first and second phases of the Internet revolution. He has had an uncanny ability to be at the vortex of the big innovation waves playing a broad set of roles ranging from CEO, executive, entrepreneur, advisor, board member and investor. Mr. Singer has not been afraid to go against prevailing wisdom. He jumped into online media and advertising as it was just emerging in the early 1990's, tapped into the hyper-growth of narrowband online services with America Online and decided to reinvest during the Internet crash by focusing on opportunities created by the early launch of broadband networks in Japan and China. Today he is invested in Internet video, behavioral advertising, content creation and social communities. Mr. Singer has worked with Softbank Corporation since 2003 as a Senior Advisor to Masayoshi Son, President and CEO of Softbank Corporation in Japan. His role has allowed him to work with many of the worldwide top leaders in the media and Internet industry including Yahoo, AOL, Comcast, DoubleClick and News Corp to name a few. He has also remained active in the U.S. and Asian technology markets as a Venture Partner at Softbank Capital Partners helping many of their portfolio companies scale their operations. Previously, Mr. Singer worked in a variety of leading operating roles as a Senior Vice President at America Online where his primary focus was on turnarounds and content companies. During his six year tenure at AOL, some of his roles included COO, AOL Studios/Interactive Services (Content), COO, ICQ (Instant Messaging) and SVP of emerging products. He started his career with the Washington Post Company in 1992 where he was a founder of the Washington Post Online Service (now WashingtonPost.com). He was also formerly a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company in Boston. Mr. Singer is currently serving or has served on the boards of DoubleClick, Motley Fool Company, iReit, Claria, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (International Committee), Queens School of Business, and Upper Canada College. He has also been active with Sunderam Tagore Art Gallery in New York City and Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. where he has funded pioneering work on Autism Spectrum Disorders. He has an MBA from Harvard and a LLB, MA Philosophy, BA Philosophy with Distinction and B. Commerce with Honours from Queen's University in Canada. return to top
