As chief executive officer of Aon Benfield, Andrew M. Appel is responsible for building and executing our strategic growth priorities and continuing to define and strengthen our leadership position in the market. A member of Aon’s executive committee, Appel serves as executive sponsor for several global and regional clients, working closely with Aon business leaders around the globe to ensure our priority initiatives have client and stakeholder impact. Appel joined Aon in 2005 as chief executive officer of Aon Consulting, Aon’s human capital and management consulting operation. In this role, he successfully aligned the team’s global consulting operations and expertise with the single goal of helping clients shape the workforce of the future through benefits, talent and rewards strategies and solutions. Under Appel's leadership, Aon Consulting grew revenues by 7.7 percent and improved margins by 5.9 percent to industry-leading levels, while being named the most client-focused organization in the industry two years in a row. He continues to serve as chairman of Aon Consulting. Prior to joining Aon, Appel spent 15 years at McKinsey, most recently as a senior partner in McKinsey’s Financial Services and Technology Practices, manager of the firm’s Chicago, Atlanta and Canadian Business Technology Offices and member of the firm’s Global Technology Operating and Practice Committees. In these roles, Appel served senior executives with the world’s leading insurance, investment banking and financial services companies, focusing on product- and distribution-related strategies, trading and capital markets strategies, operations, technology, post-merger and performance improvement. Born in Los Angeles, Appel holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, where he was the Henry Ford II scholar. Prior to business school, he was Chief Operating Officer of a regional brokerage firm. Appel graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Baljit “Bal” Dail is CEO of Aon Consulting’s international businesses and global practices. He is also Chief Operating Officer for Aon Benfield. Aon Consulting Worldwide, and leads its Global Strategy Team and Global Program Management Office. Aon Consulting Worldwide provides benefits, talent and rewards strategies and solutions to clients in more than 100 countries. Dail joined Aon in 2005 from McKinsey and Company, where he was a partner working across a wide variety of industries, including finance, retail, insurance, telecom and high– tech. Prior to McKinsey, he was vice president, strategic planning, at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and before that served in leadership roles at JP Morgan, Marks & Spencer and Ford Motor Company. Dail received his Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, U.K.

Bernard Fung Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Aon Asia Pacific Bernie Fung serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Asia Pacific, a position to which he was appointed in 1997. He is responsible for Aon’s Asia Pacific operations and also serves as a member of the firm’s executive committee. From 1994 to 1997, Fung served as chief executive officer of Inchcape Insurance Brokers in Asia, which joined Aon in 1997. Previously he was in charge of Aon’s Canadian retail brokering operations, and also served as global managing director of Aon’s risk management operations. Fung has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canadain 1996. He attained his Associate in Risk Management degree through the Insurance Institute of America, and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Case is President and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Corporation, the leading global risk, reinsurance and human capital services firm. He is also a member of the company's Board of Directors. Under Case's leadership, Aon has strengthened its position as a global organization offering integrated business solutions for clients. Leading the efforts of more than 37,000 colleagues in over 120 countries, Case continues to execute a three-part strategy focused on delivering distinctive value for clients, attracting the best talent and achieving operational excellence. Since joining Aon in April 2005, he has met with an average of 100 clients per month and more than 30,000 colleagues in many of Aon's 500-plus locations around the world. Before joining Aon, Case served on the Governing Shareholder Council and headed the Global Insurance and Financial Services Practice at McKinsey & Company, a leading international management consultant. Prior to McKinsey, he worked for the investment banking firm of Piper, Jaffray and Hopwood as well as the Federal Reserve Bank. Case holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude from Kansas State University. He serves on the boards of the International Insurance Society, Inc., Children's Memorial Hospital, the Financial Services Roundtable, the Economic Club of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and St. John's University School of Risk Management, where he was named the 2008 Insurance Executive of the Year.

Peter Harmer serves as chief executive officer of Aon UK, a position to which he was appointed in January 2007 after running Aon's Australian operations since 2000. Peter joined the Aon Group 20 years ago and has spent that time building businesses, innovating products and services and developing high-performing teams. He has held various roles in Australiaincluding managing director of John C. Lloyd Reinsurance Brokers in 1992, driving the merger of John C. Lloyd and Alexander Howden in 1996, being appointed chairman of Aon Re in 1998, and serving on the board of Aon Re International over the same period. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 28 years, having started as a claims officer in 1979. His career has spanned underwriting, reinsurance broking and retail insurance broking. In recognition of Aon’s drive towards electronic trading in London, Peter was appointed chairman of the Market Reform Group in 2008 Peter is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Programme.

Stephen P. McGill ACII Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Aon Risk Services Steve is chairman and chief executive officer of Aon Risk Services, the largest risk management and insurance brokerage firm in the world+. Steve is also a member of Aon Corporation’s Group Executive Committee. Since joining Aon in 2005, Steve has been focused on client and broking leadership bringing talent and resources together to deliver high impact risk solutions to clients. He has represented many of the worlds largest corporations in helping them manage and mitigate risk. Steve has excellent long standing relationships with many of the senior leaders in the worldwide insurance and reinsurance industry. Steve’s career began in insurance broking in 1977 at Bland Payne International (a predecessor company of Marsh). In 1989, he joined Lloyd Thompson where he developed their international non-marine business, and in 1996 joined the Lloyd Thompson Group board. In 2001, Steve was appointed deputy chief executive officer of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLTG) Plc, formed by a merger between Lloyd Thompson and Jardine Insurance Brokers, and in 2002 was appointed chief executive officer of JLTG Plc. He joined Aon in May 2005 as chief executive officer of Aon Global based initially in London. Steve was additionally appointed chief executive officer of Aon Risk Services Americas in January 2006 and transferred to Aon’s Corporate HQ in Chicago. Steve was then appointed to his current role as chairman and chief executive officer of Aon Risk Services in February 2008. Steve is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is also a past president of the Insurance Institute of London and a director of the International Insurance Society Inc.

Greg Besio serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. He joined Aon in April 2007 as Senior Vice President, Global Strategy, and became Chief Administrative Officer in March 2008. He is responsible for corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, governance and human resources. Before joining Aon, Besio worked for Motorola and held a series of positions with increasing responsibility from 2003 to 2007, including Corporate Vice President, Mobile Devices Software where he led a 4,500 person global development group that created a new software platform for cellular telephones. Prior to that, he led corporate strategy. Besio is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and earned a doctoral degree in the same discipline from Princeton University. He also holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago with concentrations in finance and marketing.

Philip B. Clement is the global chief marketing and communications officer for Aon Corporation. He has responsibility for all Aon’s marketing, which includes branding; market analysis, external and public; and demand creation. He is also responsible for driving many of Aon’s programs in the area of sales, sales systems and innovation. Aon Corporation is a $10 billion dollar company with 500 offices in 120 countries. Previously, Clement was a managing partner of The Clement Group, a management consulting firm that he founded in Chicago. In that role, Clement served a wide variety of clients from the Fortune 50 to venture-backed start-ups as an expert in revenue-oriented growth strategies, particularly in marketing, sales processes, go-to-market channels and new product launches. Clement is an advocate of “value marketing” and has an impressive track record in leading rapid-growth initiatives at professional services firms – ranging from a number of “Inc. Fast 50” companies to the largest global consulting companies. Prior to starting the Clement Group, he served as the senior vice president of global market development for Inforte Corporation. Clement has served as an instructor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy. He also served as an adjunct professor at the Kelstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University. Clement received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business and a Master of Public Policy Analysis from the University of Chicago, Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Analysis with a concentration in statistics. His undergraduate studies were at the University of Southern California, where he received a multidisciplinary certificate in journalism, documentary filmmaking and anthropology. He is a past president of Chicago’s Business Marketing Association; board member of the Better Government Association, the nation’s oldest government watch-dog organization; a board member of St. Chrysostom’s Day School of Chicago; a board member of the Goodman Theatre in Chicago; and a member of the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Public Policy.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Christa Davies serves as Executive Vice President, Global Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. She joined Aon in November 2007 as Executive Vice President, Global Finance, and became Chief Financial Officer in March 2008. Before joining Aon, Davies worked for Microsoft and held a series of positions with increasing responsibility from 2002 to 2007, including her last role as Chief Financial Officer of the Platform and Services Division, the largest and most profitable division within the company. Davies is a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Queensland in Australia, and as a Fulbright Scholar, she earned a masters degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School

As an executive vice president and head of Strategy at Aon Corporation, Ted T. Devine is responsible for ensuring that strategy developed by Aon's Policy Committee is managed to evolve with the needs of clients. Devine is also a member of the committee.

Beth Tomkiw is an editor, writer and marketing communications professional with more than 17 years experience. In addition to being recognized as one of the leading authorities on custom publishing, she is a toured speaker on the topic and oversees Publications Management, the industry's leading content source, and the Magnum Opus Awards, the only awards program dedicated to custom publications. As McMurry's editorial director, she provides leadership and creative vision to the company's growing stable of custom publications. A seasoned author, Beth has written health, fitness and outdoor adventure articles for magazines such as Self, Men's Fitness, Maxim, and Playboy. She's covered parenting topics for Family Fun; relationship and sexuality issues for MH-18, TeenStyle, Bikini, and Men's Fitness; and technology and consumer electronics for a wide variety of on- and offline publications. A pioneering Web writer, Beth wrote a weekly lifestyle column for teenagers on CompuServe WOW! and was a contributing editor and relationship-advice columnist for iVolt.com, an entertainment Web site for men. In addition to her magazine and Web work, Beth has authored three non-fiction books, including "A Year In The Life of My Daughter" (Andrew McMeel, 2000). Beth was an associate editor at Playboy magazine for 13 years. She's also worked in marketing communications and as an Internet consultant, assisting companies in developing sophisticated electronic marketplaces and collaborative workspaces. Her client roster includes both global businesses, such as Dell Computer Corporation and Aon Corporation, as well as start-up companies in financial services, agriculture, electronics and consumer products. Her expertise in custom publishing runs the gamut from newsletters and annual reports to internal and external customer magazines.

Caleb Bonds ACAS, MAAA is an Assistant Vice President and Actuary at Virginia Surety Company, Inc., a wholly own subsidiary of Aon Corporation, in Glenview, IL. He joined Aon Corporation in 2000. He currently manages the activities of the Actuarial reserving unit. His responsibilities include opining on overall company reserves, loss ratio projections, book valuations, reserve estimations, budget forecasts, data extraction and manipulation. Caleb began his career with CNA Insurance Companies in 1990. There he held various entry-level Actuarial positions in the Personal Lines and Professional Liability units. He then joined Allstate Insurance Company in 1995 as an actuarial analyst responsible for the Motorcycle and Motor Home products in all 50 states. Caleb graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science degree double major in Physics and Mathematics in 1989. During 1999, he became an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Douglas H. Burr is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of Ridge Property Trust. Previously serving in senior roles with Chase Home Mortgage, a division of JPMorgan Chase, Aon Corporation, Allfirst Bank and other financial and accounting organizations, Mr. Burr is responsible for the management of all financial matters relating to Ridge's ongoing day-to-day acquisition, development, construction, financing and ownership activities, as well as all corporate financial matters relating to the operation of Ridge and its joint venture relationships.

Erich P. Prien, an industrial/organizational psychologist based in Memphis, TN, specializes in the development, standardization, and application of psychological tests, especially in the workplace. He is also the founder and President of Performance Management Press (PMP, which has been the principal marketing arm for his tests. His recent government clients include the US Department of Justice, US Department of State, US Office of Personnel Management, US Equal Employment Commission, US Capital Police, Arkansas State Office of Personnel Management, Tennessee Valley Authority, and others. His business clients include Miller Brewing Company, Florida Steel Corporation (now AmeriSteel), Personnel Designs, Inc.(now AON, Inc.), Sara Lee Hosiery Corporation, Weyerhauser Company, National Bank of Commerce in Memphis, Marquette Cement Company, Sessel's Inc., a Memphis-based grocery chain, Garan, Inc., a multi-plant garment manufacturer. In addition, Dr. Prien has served as an expert witness in disputes over employee selection, training, and advancement. Dr. Prien is best known for his work in validation research for selection and promotion and in the development of performance appraisal systems. His research interests are in criterion development and measurement and using job analysis to improve selection, promotion, training, performance appraisal and organization analysis. Following receipt of his bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University, he earned his master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph. D. from Western Reserve University, in industrial/organizational psychology. Dr. Prien has served as a research psychologist for the Standard Oil Company, as Assistant Director of the Psychological Research Service at Case Western University, as Adviser to the Imperial Iranian Armed Forces and as a faculty member at Greensboro College, University of Akron, Georgia Technical University, and Memphis State University from which he retired in 1987. Following his retirement from Memphis State, Dr. Prien has devoted himself to his practice, his research, and to the management of PMP. Over his career, Dr. Prien has published more than 100 research and scholarly articles, monographs and books, and has been a speaker at more than 100 conferences and conventions. His most recent book is Individual Assessment as Practiced in Industry and Consulting co-authored by J. S. Schippman and K. O. Prien and published in 2003 by Lawrence Ehrlbaum Associates of Mahwah, NJ. With Leonard D. Goodstein he has updated the Mechanical Understanding Test (MUT), the Management and Organizational Skills Test (MOST), and the Test of Supervisory Skills (TOSS), all three instruments published by HRD Press. Dr. Prien is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and holds the Diploma in Industrial Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Among his many awards the Distinguished Professional Award from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Author of the Year Award from the Journal of Performance and Instruction and is the two-time winner of the Creativity Research Award Winner, American Society for Personnel Administration.

Jennifer Geesey previously served as Membership Director. She is the President of Central Penn Benefits, a consulting firm providing a comprehensive range of benefit services and creative solutions to help employers obtain an improved financial position and competitive posture for retention and recruitment of employees. Central Penn Benefits specializes in Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and Health Spending Accounts (HSAs). Jen graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Actuarial Science. Her experience includes Actuarial Analyst and Account Manager with The Benecon Group, Actuarial Analyst for Educators Mutual life Insurance Company and AON Corporation, and pension specialist at York International Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Jen volunteers for Olivia's House and Junior Achievement. She is on the Heritage Valley Federal Credit Union board of directors and serves as an ambassador for the York County Chamber. Jen lives in Mount Wolf with her very supportive husband, Mike, their two very active boys, Tyler (8) & Colby (5).

Managing Director Aon Risk Services Commercial Division Julian Lau is the Managing Director of Aon Risk Services Commercial Division, a retail and commercial broking division of Aon Hong Kong Limited specializing in small to medium sized enterprises and associations. He joined Inchcape Insurance in 1980 and was responsible for the Retailing Broking Division until 1996 when Inchcape Insurance was acquired by Aon. At that time he was appointed Executive Director of Aon Commercial Risks (now renamed Aon Risk Services Commercial Division). Julian is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, an Associate of the Australian Insurance Institute (AAII), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries (ACIS).

Mr. Knight has over 23 years of operating experience, principally in senior management roles at Baxter International, Allegiance and Cardinal Health. Most recently, he served as Vice Chairman of Cardinal Health following the merger of Allegiance with Cardinal Health. Prior to the merger, Mr. Knight was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allegiance.

A graduate of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a degree in economics and commerce, in 1969 he joined the Mobil Group, where he held a number of executive positions in Italy and abroad and in 1989-90 was in charge of finance for Europe. The head of the accounting, finance, and control department of Montecatini from 1991 to 1993, he subsequently was in charge of finance at Montedison-Compart (between 1993 and 1996), overseeing the financial restructuring of such Group. The general manager and chief financial officer of the Italian National Railways between 1996 and 1998, he also held important positions in other companies of such Group (including Metropolis and Grandi Stazioni). Vice-chairman of Eurofima in 1997, in 1998-99 he was general manager and chief financial officer of Telecom Italia, holding also in this case important positions in other companies of such Group (including Finsiel, TIM, Sirti, Italtel, Meie and STET International). From 1999 to June 2005 he was Enel’s chief financial officer. He has been chief executive officer and general manager of Enel since May 2005. He is currently also director of Barclays plc and AON Corporation as well as deputy chairman of Eurelectric and director of National Academy of Santa Cecilia.

Gloria Santona is the Chief Legal Officer of McDonald’s Corporation, the world’s largest quick service restaurant company, with more than 31,000 restaurants in 118 countries. In this role, she leads McDonald’s worldwide legal, compliance, regulatory and corporate governance functions. As part of McDonald’s senior leadership team, Ms. Santona is also actively involved in the company’s strategic direction and growth. Ms. Santona has fostered the legal department’s diversity efforts and on-going engagement in pro-bono legal services, which have garnered the McDonald’s Legal Department awards in recognition of the legal and educational services it has provided to underserved communities. Ms. Santona joined McDonald’s as an attorney upon her graduation from the University of Michigan Law School, and subsequently held a number of management positions in the legal department. She became the company’s corporate secretary in 1997 and has served as general counsel since 2001. She is a director of Aon Corporation, serving on its Audit and Governance Committees and as Chairman of its Compliance Committee. In addition, Ms. Santona serves on the Boards of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Chicago, and as a trustee of Rush University Medical Center. Ms. Santona is a member of several professional organizations and is a frequent speaker and panel member on a variety of diversity, legal, compliance and corporate governance topics. She has received numerous awards, including being named as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business Magazine and earning the Women with Vision Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.

Martin J. Gillen Dean and Ray and Milann Siegfried Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana. Dr. Woo also is a director of AON Corporation and Circuit City, Inc. She has been a Director since 1997.
