The Company was initially organized primarily to hold overriding royalties of both producing and non-producing oil and gas properties. However, the Company's articles of incorporation authorize it to engage in all aspects of the oil and gas business and for any other lawful purpose. In 1989, the Company transferred its assets in exchange for cancellation of the Company's debt and ceased operations until 1995. Since 1995, the Company has been primarily engaged in the business of acquiring interests in oil and gas properties.
