Asish Ghosh is a part of the Automation Group consulting team at ARC covering batch process control, safety, and critical condition management. Asish has over 35 years experience in process control in chemical, petro-chemical, aerospace, and mining industries. He has presented and published numerous papers, and is the joint author of the first book on batch process control. He has lectured extensively on batch control and has taught courses in USA and in Europe. He is a member of the ISA/SP88 and IEC WG11 committees and has been actively involved in generating the Part 1 of the batch control standard. Asish has been with ARC for 10 years. Prior to ARC, he was with The Foxboro Company for over 20 years as application engineer, project engineer, principal engineer, and product marketing manager. Asish is a graduate of Delhi University in India and has a Diploma in Advanced Studies in control engineering from Cambridge University in UK.
Chantal is part of the Automation consulting team at ARC and leads the team responsible for Manufacturing Advisory Service deliverables to customers in the hybrid industries (CPG, Food, Beverages, Life Sciences, Fine Chemicals). Chantal also supports the activities of the OMAC User Group. Chantal has been an industry analyst covering manufacturing automation since 1987. She has been with ARC since 1990, and has conducted numerous industry-leading research activities in areas including industrial Ethernet, device networks, open control software, and RFID - the current primary focus of her activities. Prior to ARC, Chantal was with Venture Development Corporation where she focused on sensors and device-level topics. Prior to her career as an industry analyst, Chantal was with the injection molded plastic fastener business of Dennison Manufacturing and then L.E. Mason, a local aluminum, zinc, and magnesium die cast manufacturer. Chantal is an honors graduate of Babson College and has a dual degree in Marketing and Management. Since 1992, Chantal has been a season ticket holder for the New England Patriots - the 2001, 2003, and 2004 Super Bowl Champions. Her excellent analytical skills allow her to provide insight into the team's prospects that are appreciated by their many fans in the ARC community. She is also an avid sailor.

Dick Hill is part of the management team at ARC responsible for developing the strategic direction for ARC products, services, and geographical expansion. Dick is responsible for covering advanced software business on a worldwide basis. In addition, he provides leader-ship for support of ARC's Manufacturing Advisory Service team and clients. Dick's areas of expertise include Manufacturing Industries Strategies and Best Practices; Refining, Chemicals, and other Process Industries; and Advanced Software and Systems Technologies such as APC, Optimization, PIMs and DCS. Dick has over 30 years of experience in the areas of manufacturing and automation. As a process engineer, he gained experience in oil refinery operations and applications of advanced process control. Later, he expanded this knowledge of manufacturing solutions applied to other process industries. Dick has broad international experience by virtue of his extensive international assignments with The Foxboro Company. Dick spent three years in Tokyo as Vice President of Foxboro's joint venture from 1989 through 1991. In addition, during his 17 years at Foxboro, Dick's assignments included product marketing management for the company's flagship system, the I/A Series, and related software. Prior to Foxboro, Dick was a senior process control engineer with BP Oil, developing and implementing advanced process control applications. As a chemical engineer, Dick was involved in refining process engineering and refinery unit operations during his eight years with Standard Oil of Ohio and BP. Just prior to joining ARC, Dick was the US General Manager of Walsh Automation, a major engineering consulting firm and supplier of CIM solutions to the pulp and paper, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical and other process and manufacturing industries. With extensive experience in the petroleum industry and advanced systems applications, Dick provided both product knowledge and industry leadership in many major petrochemical and other process industry projects worldwide. Since joining ARC, Dick has utilized his extensive experience in advanced software for the process industries to provide a series of technology forecast studies for process information management systems, simulation, optimization and model-based control software. Dick is a graduate of Lowell Technological Institute with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He has completed post graduate courses in network technologies and relational database structures at Northeastern University.

Craig has 24 years experience in the areas of sales, marketing, product development, and project management in the industrial market. This experience was gained with major suppliers of PLCs, process control systems, power transmission equipment, and field devices. Craig has been with ARC for six years. Prior to ARC, Craig spent four years as Director of Sales & Marketing for Dynisco Instruments. His responsibilities included strategic planning, sales, product management and new market development for pressure & temperature transmitters and display & control instrumentation. Prior to that, Craig spent six years as the Director of Marketing for Boston Gear-Colfax. His responsibilities included strategic planning and product management for speed reducers, PLCs, photoelectric/proximity sensors, motors, and AC & DC drives. Previously, Craig spent three years as PLC Product Manager for Siemens, releasing SIMATIC S5 into the U.S. market and developing distribution & vertical channels. Craig began his career at the Foxboro Company, where he spent three years as a Field Project Manager responsible for design, installation, start-up and debugging of systems primarily for Textile and Paper manufacturers, along with two years in Foxboro's Oil and Gas Industry Marketing group. Craig is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with both an MBA degree as well as a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

Matthias is a member of the European ARC Business Development team. In his position, Matthias is responsible for the development and management of client relationships, aligning ARC's resources and capabilities to address and meet the client's strategic needs, challenges, and issues. He supports end users, OEMs, and suppliers of industrial automation and enterprise systems. Matthias has 6 years experience in sales, business development, account management, and technical consulting, with a good understanding of the process and manufacturing industry. Prior to joining ARC, Matthias was Sales & Project Manager for the Hannover Messe Team at Deutsche Messe AG. The team managed the industrial automation part of the world leading trade show. Matthias specialized in process automation and was responsible for the development and implementation of Interkama into the Hannover Messe trade show, including the steering of the international sales representatives. Previously, Matthias was an Account Manager for the Global Sales Team at Renk AG. He was responsible for the sales in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Portugal, and Spain. The business includes customized layouts, quotation and contracting, and serving customers like Hyundai Heavy Industries. Prior to that, Matthias served as Energy Services Sales Manager for Stadtwerke Hannover AG. In a team of 8 engineers, Matthias was co-responsible for developing and marketing innovative customized energy services, creating a new business field in technical facility management, and developing the market for NGVs in Hannover. Matthias is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Science, Hannover.

David is on the Field Device and A-Team Study teams. David focuses on Control Valves, Actuators, & Positioners (CVAP), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Field Devices. Dave's areas of expertise include Control Valves, Actuators, & Positioners (CVAP); Plant Asset Management (PAM); Building Automation Systems (BAS); Field Devices, Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Food & Beverage. David has been with ARC for more than 10 years. Prior to ARC, David worked for more than three years as a component and systems analyst with The Foxboro Company. During this time, David evaluated electronic components and systems, performed failure analysis, generated analytical reports, created component specifications and conducted customer presentations of the company's Intelligent Automation (I/A) Series and Spectrum 200 distributed control systems. As a component and systems analyst, David played a key role in the quality assurance of many I/A and Spectrum 200 distributed control systems and components requested for use in Foxboro products. David is a graduate of Northeastern University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.

John is a principal analyst concentrating on the Advanced Control and Enterprise Integration needs of the batch processing industries including packaging line integration and regulatory compliance. He has over 25 years of experience in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries as a manufacturing engineer, project engineer, project manager, industry-marketing manager, and automation consultant. He has also been actively involved with the FDA and USDA on sanitary and product safety standards, process and system validation, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Prior to ARC, John was the Food & Pharmaceutical Industries Marketing Manager for the Foxboro Company. In this capacity he was responsible for global development and support of the food & beverage market. During his 19 years at Foxboro he was involved in the cross departmental activities that supported the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and batch market needs. Prior to joining Foxboro John spent 6 years at General Foods where he held various positions in technical support, engineering, and manufacturing. Prior to General Foods, John held several positions as a forensic, materials analysis and analytical chemist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. John is a graduate of the Peterson School of Power Engineering and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.
